Circle of Friendship Blog Hop

Welcome to the Circle of Friends Blog Hop! Thank you so much for joining us today!

If you have arrived from Anneke's blog you are in the right place, if not you may want to start at Crystal's blog so you don't miss anything along the way. If you have been hopping all along with us, you have reached the end of our hop today. We thank you so much for being here with us to support a wonderful friend and crafter!

Our Circle of Friends hop is to show our dear friend Annika Ryan that her Whimsy Family is here for her during this difficult time. Everyone needs a circle of friends, and sometimes, during those hard moments, you need to be placed in the center of that circle and be given a big group hug.  Though we may be miles away, our hearts are with her along with our support.

Today we all have made her a creation to show her how much we care. Please hop along with us to support our wonderful teammate and friend Annika.

Here is the creation I have created especially for Annika using the stamp Love in a Bucket. This sweet image always makes me smile and so I hope it will bring a smile to Annika's face too!

I've used Curio papers from BG and lots of distressing and vintage elements. This is my first card without coloring an image, not sure if I will do it again, but it does create a very different effect. I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, brads, pearls, and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

If you know Annika and would like to make a creation for her please link your card in the linky feature below, then email Crystal at crystalkbk30@gmail.com, privately and she will give you Annika's mailing info.

This hop will end on February 5th, noon Eastern time so you have enough time to create a card for friend!!

Thanks so much for hopping along with us today!!! Sending you GIANT hugs Annika!

Going Dotty in Winter

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

What a busy, busy week and brrrrr, so cold too! Hope you have been having a good week and that it's warmer than it is here. It was a high of 5 the other day! To say that I won't miss winter is an understatement! Spring can't get here soon enough!

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something. And this week I have combined these challenges to create my DT card. At JM the challenge is "Going Dotty" and at SS our theme is "Winter" so I've used this sweet Tilda in her winter best and combined her with some dotty papers!

These papers are Bo Bunny Tis the Season, which I love and will be very sad when I've used them all up! I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then used the sketch from Papertake Weekly when assembling the card. The image was colored with Copics and cut out and adhered to a dry embossed circle frame created with Nesties. I've embellished with sticky gems, ribbon, and a snowflake made with the Whimsy Stamps Winter's Jewel 1 die.

This card also fits over at:
Creative Belli - anything beginning with "P"(pretty papers)
Paper Pretties - sewing
Penny's Paper-Crafty – anything goes
Sisterhood of Crafters - anything goes
My Time To Craft - embossing

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I will be back tomorrow with a special post for a special person! Until then, have a great Friday!

Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge

Hi All!

Hope you are having a great week. Things have been rather hectic here, one thing after the other as they say, so this is going to be a very quick post and I apologize. I hope you all have a great day!

There is a brand new challenge posted on the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog today and the theme this month is "Alter-It" and then using any Elisabeth Bell image to compliment your project. I've decided to alter a notebook and I've used the WOJ image of Willow Blowing Kisses.

As you can see, I've covered the notebook with a soft pink polka dot paper from My Minds Eye. Then I tied ribbons to each of the spirals on the edging of the notebook. I also added a second layer of paper with lace border punch edging details, more ribbon and a pearl brad. On top, I've added a covered chipboard heart, lots of pretty flowers and pearls and then finished off the bottom with a sentiment from the Whimsy Handmade Letter Seals set.

The image was colored with Copics and then I cut it out with the Magnolia tag die and adhered it to the notebook with ribbons and a heart charm.

This project fits the challenges at:
Crafty Cardmakers - Floral
Magical Mondays  - Flowers
Crafty Pad - Girly
Let's Ink It Up - NO DIGI and Anything Goes
Blackleaf Studios - anything but a card, Valentine's day
Gem Of A Challenge -Ribbon and Lace

Thanks so much for dropping by today. If you are up for a challenge head on over to the EBW challenge blog and join us! I know the DT gals have some gorgeous altered items to share with you too! Hope you have a great few days. I will be back on Friday, I hope! Until then....

A Digi Valentine

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Good I hope! Ours was busy visiting with family and cleaning up our house in preparation for our family vacation which is coming up soon!

Today was my turn to post a project on the Digi Bells Blog, so I thought I would share the card I created for that post over here on my blog too. This is a card using the Elisabeth Bell digital image "Little Rapunzel" which you can purchase HERE.

I had really enjoyed making all my Christmas holiday cards, but I think now Valentine's themed one are my new favorite. So many pretty papers available now and fun images and accents to decorate cards with, who wouldn't want to make them! lol This card uses Fancy Pants papers and some red and pink card stock. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then embellished with flowers, pearls, ribbon, and a charm. I also had a heart cut out so I put that on too with a heart shaped metal accent. Then I added glitter in various places!

This card fits the challenges at:
AiFactory - anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - recipe 1-2-3  (1 image, 2 papers, 3 types of embellishments)
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - anything goes
Meljens Designs - pink & red

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you have a super day. I will be back tomorrow with another Elisabeth Bell inspired project, this time for the monthly Elisabeth Bell's World challenge. Have a great day!

A Sketch and Something Cute

Happy Friday!

Boy what a long week this has been. It was a suppose to be a short week with the holiday on Monday, but then we had a snow storm and the kids were out on Tuesday too. And then a late start on Wednesday due to ice and now it's snowing again! Ahhhh, winter!

Today is new challenge day over at both Just Magnolia and at Stamp Something. I hope you will stop over to the blogs and check out the samples from my fellow teammates and give these new challenges a go!

First up is my card for the challenge at Stamp Something. This week we are sponsored by Sugar Nellie Stamps and so we thought lets go with "Cute Somethings" seeing as all of their stamps are super cute! They kindly donated stamps for our team to work with this week too, but I couldn't resist purchasing one of the new Simply Adorables digital stamps! TOO CUTE!

I printed the image on Neehah cardstock and then colored with Copics. This image was fun to color as there are "cheat" shading areas that really help with where the colors should go. Then I used some new papers that my sweet friend Crystal sent me recently. I love the gingham prints and the pinks and yellows together. I've embellished with ribbon, a charm, and some flowers.

This card also fits at:
Creative Belli  - anything beginning with "P"  - pink papers
Penny's Paper-Crafty – anything goes
Karber Weekly - DIGI STAMP and Ribbon

Next is my card for this week's Just Magnolia challenge. This week we have a fun sketch from our lovely Donalda, who we all missed while she was away. Welcome back sweetie! This is a sketch I know for sure I will be using again as it would work with so many images!

For this card I used two different pieces of paper from the BG Hopscotch pad which were also a gift from Crystal! I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The images were colored with Copics and then I cut out Tilda and popped her on the cupcake with foam tape. I've framed the images with Lacy Circle Nesties and then embellished with ribbon, sticky pearls, flowers, and some glitter.

This card also fits at:
Freshly Brewed - love or Valentine's themed
Simon Says Stamp - choose 3 items in a straight line from the BINGO
Paper Take Weekly - Ribbons and Pearls
Pollycraft - Pastel Colours

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Stay warm!

For a Friend

Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. It's a long weekend here in the States and so the kids and I are enjoying the day together. Back to business as usual tomorrow though.

I wanted to make a special card for a special friend today so I took out some new papers and some of my Whimsy Stamps and got to work. Last week an amazing package of papers arrived at my door from my wonderful friend Crystal! Thank you SO much sweetie, I love them all!

This image is Valerie's Gift illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. I've colored her with Copics to match these beautiful BG Hopscotch papers. I then used some flowers, a lacy doily, and sticky pearls to embellish the card. The sentiment is from Friendship Tickets also available at Whimsy and I cut it with the Ticket Die.

This card fits at the challenges:
Corrosive Challenges - Lace and Pearls
Creative Cowgirls - Turquoise and or Brown

Let's Ink It Up - NO DIGI and Anything Goes
Scrappy Frogs - use a Sentiment

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you have a great rest of your Monday!

Digi Bells New Release Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Digi Bells New Release Blog Hop to showcase Elisabeth Bell's latest digital image! If you are just joining me from Kiki's blog you are in the right place. However, if you are just now stumbling onto the hop today, you will want to stop back over to the Digi Bells Blog to start the hop!

The new image being released today is called "My Prince" and it's adorable and perfect for any "love" themed creations you might have this Valentine's season! For the hop we all had the theme of candy to keep in mind when creating our projects and so I've created both a card and a candy treat holder.

First up is my treat holder, which I used a tutorial on SCS to create. It was very easy and one I think I will definitely make one again. I am thinking Valentine teacher gifts!

I made the box with pink card stock and then decorated with Fancy Pants Valentine's paper. I cut the window with Nesties Labels 10 and then used the cut outs to make the tag. I've embellished with flowers, pearls, a tag and safety pin, ribbon and some flower gem stamens. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps "Love Letter Seal" sentiments. The image was printed, colored with copics, and then cut with Circle Nesties. I filled my treat box with Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate and Raspberry squares. YUMMY!

Next is the matching card this time using the full image...

The image was colored with copics and then I added lots of glittery accents. Every little princess must be covered in glitter! This image reminds me of the girl in Princess and the Frog who wants only to marry a prince. My daughter loves that movie and we just watched it the other night actually. I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, pearls, and a heart charm. The papers are the same Fancy Pants from the treat box.

Here is a photo of the matching set....

These projects fit the challenges at:
Crafty Cardmakers - Use red and a die cut
Cupcake Craft - Something New
Kaboodle Doodles  - do it with Digis
Karber Weekly - DIGI STAMP and Pearls
Lexi's Creations - Say it with Love
Stamping Scrapping Central  - flowers
Woodware USA - Hearts
In Style Stamps Inspiration Challenge – matching packaging and card or tag
Creative Cottage - something new
Southern Girls - lovey dovey
Paper Play – cutie patootie

Thanks so much for stopping by today. The next stop on our hop is the talented Janiel! Be sure to hop on over and see what she has to share with you today! And if you don't have time to hop today, this hop will be open until Friday, January 21st at 10pm MT. There are prizes to be won and a little "chocolate" challenge too if you are up for it! Head over to the Digi Bells Blog for all the details on how to enter to win!

Happy hopping!

Anything Goes with My Favorite Things

Happy Friday!

Wow, what a busy week. So sorry I didn't post all week. I've been busy working and hanging at home with the kiddos and we've had company all week too. Hope you have had a good week.

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something! And both challenges are rather easy and fun, so no excuses not to play along!

First up is my card for the challenge at Stamp Something. This week the theme is "Anything Goes - just stamp something!" And we are sponsored by Whimsy Stamps! One lucky participant will win a $15 gift certificate to the shop and can use it to buy anything she likes!

I've decided to use a new KennyK rubber stamp on my card, this is Download Diva. I've colored her with Copics in some soft pastel-ish colors. The layout is from Sketch Saturday and was paired with BG Olivia and MME Lost and Found papers. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then embellished with flowers and sticky pearls. The sentiments are from the Friendship Ticket set and were cut with the Whimsy Shapeology Ticket Die.

This card fits at:
AiFactory - anything goes
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - pink, green
Top Tip Tuesday - anything goes

This week our Just Magnolia and Hanglars too challenge is to use "My Favorite Things" and either a Magnolia or Hanglar and Stanglar stamp. I've used another Hanglar that I had in my stash from Deb.

I've colored my image with Copics and then add some Stickles for shimmer. The papers are Fancy Pants and have been distressed with scissors. I've also used the MS hearts border punch. I've embellished with flowers, a glittery heart and button, some ribbon, and a Love Letter Seals sentiment.

This card fits at:
Do You Stack Up? - distress it
Pals Paper Arts - Valentine
Stampin' B's - use a die cut
Stampavie and More - glitter

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a marvelous Friday! I will be back at midnight tonight to share my Digi Bells Blog Hop creation! The hop is showcasing a brand new Elisabeth Bell digital stamp! Hope you will pop back over later tonight or tomorrow!

Some Buttons and Digis

Happy Friday All!

Hope you've had a really great week! Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something! And I have 2 cards to share with you for these new challenges.

First up is my JM card using a hAnglar stamp since now you can use either Magnolias or hAnglars on your creations. This week our challenge is "Anything Goes with the added option of Buttons" and we are sponsored by our monthly sponsor Simon Says Stamp!

I just love this sweet image and luckily my friend Deb had stamped me some images so this was a perfect time to use them! Thanks Deb! I've colored her with Copics. The papers are BG Curio and all have been distressed with scissors. I've embellished with lace and satin ribbons, a button with twine and pin, flowers, sticky pearls, and little tiny button brads.

Next is my card for Stamp Something. This week we are holding our monthly Digi Day Challenge! So anything digital will work for this one and we have many sponsor with many prizes up for grabs!

My card uses a precolored digital image from Wink, Wink, Ink. I've framed the image with circle nesties and then used some BG Max and Whiskers papers on the card. And I just realized that my sketches on both cards today are fairly similar but sadly, I don't remember if it was one in blog land on just one I made up! lol This card was embellished simply with ribbon and a button. Oh and some bubble stickers on the fish's eyes.

Thanks so much for coming by today. I hope you have a great Friday and a super weekend! Stay warm!

Hope you're day is off to a great start! It's a busy morning here as usual, but I wanted to take a break to post a card and some fun news. Last week I entered the Elisabeth Bell GDT call for her digital stamp line and well, I was selected as one of the guests for January and February! I's also add some glittery accents and flower soft under her feet. The papers have been stitched on the sewing machine and then I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers. All the papers have all been sprayed with glimmer mist. Finally, I've embellished with ribbons, flowers, a punched snowflake with gem center and a Winter Letter Seals sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

This card fits these challenges:
Fab 'n Funky...anything goes

The edges have been stitched on the sewing machine and I've used the sketch from this week's Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge. I've colored the image with Copics and then framed with Oval Nesties. Then added some glittery touches with Stickles. I've finished off with flowers, sticky pearls, a glitter heart and button with a sentiment from the Friendship Ticket set.
