Last Digi Bells Project

Morning All and Happy Monday!

It's another cold and dreary day here. We are suppose to get rain later too, which will make a mess out of all the snow we got this weekend. I am so ready for Spring. Who's with me? lol Hope you have a great day and that the sun is shining where you are!

Today I want to share my last creation for my GDT spot with the Digi Bells. I've enjoyed my time working with the talented ladies on the DT and getting a chance to work with all of these sweet Elisabeth Bell digital stamps. Big thanks to everyone for having me!

For this card I wanted to go with a soft color palette and incorporate some new papers from Prima.. These are from the Jack and Jill pack, which is beautiful. I've kept the layout simple to showcase the image. I've colored the image with Copics in neutrals, greens, and blues. The card was embellished with ribbon, a brad, sticky pearls, flowers, and a sentiment from the Postage Stamp Sentiments and was cut with the Postage Stamp Die, both from Whimsy Stamps.

This card fits challenges at:
I Did It Creations - Punches or Dies
Sentimental Sundays - SENTIMENT and anything goes
Crazy 4 Challenges - Flowers
Little Claire's - Anything Goes
One Stop Craft - Spring Flowers

Thanks so much for stopping on by today. I hope you have a great day and if I don't see you tomorrow - be sure to stop by the Whimsy Inspirations Blog for the new digital release hop! Crissy has created the cutest new character - you don't want to miss it!

A Sketch and A Flower Recipe

Hi All and Happy Friday!

Sorry I was MIA all week. The kids are home on winter break and between house stuff and work, I haven't had much time for crafting. Hope you've had a great week!

Today is new challenge at Just Magnolia and at Stamp Something. First up is my card for Stamp Something which is also a project for the new Elisabeth Bell's Challenge for February. The challenge at SS is to use flowers and lots of them if you like and then the EB monthly challenge is to make a recipe card.

For my project I've created an easel card with the recipe on the inside and I've used a WOJ image of Willow with her cookies to fit the recipe theme. The papers are from DCWV from the Sweet Stack and also fit the theme. The edges were stitched on the sewing machine. I colored the image with Copics and added some pearls to the corners. I've embellished with ribbon and flowers and added a tab with a sentiment from the Whimsy Birthday Letter Seals set.

Here is the inside of the card, which has the recipe for a chocolate cake. Yummy!

This card also fits at:
Do You Stack Up?  -Anything Goes
Paper Romance  - Anything goes
Rubber Cafe  - Fun Folds
Southern Girls - Brads, gems or dewdrops
Stampin' B's - Use a flower

Next is my card for JM and this week we have a fab sketch by our Mina! To see the sketch pop over to the JM blog and check out the sketch and all the fun DT samples. Remember to use a Magnolia or Hanglar and Stanglar image on your creation to be eligible for the prize.

I went for a birthday theme with this card and used some fun My Minds Eye papers called Fine and Dandy! Love them! I've stitched the edges and then added some ribbons and a button and twine. The image was colored with Copics, cut out and adhered to a embossed circle. I've embellished with balloons that I created with the Whimsy Shapeology Balloon Die Set and some papers and twine. The sentiment is from the Balloon Sentiment set which coordinates with the die.

This card fits at:
Guylou's Inimitability  -anything goes
Paper Crafting Journey  - anything goes
Paper Play  – Get Sentimental
Samuel Taylor's Challenge  - use Copic or Promarkers
Shelly's Images - Ribbon

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! And if you are up for a challenge, join us over at JM, SS, or EB's world challenge!

February Digi Bells Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the February Digi Bells Blog Hop!

This month Elisabeth Bell has released a super cute summer themed image called "Little Best Friends" and you can purchase it now from Elisabeth's Digital Gallery! Today the Digi Bells Design Team is hosting this blog hop to share ideas using the new image. We hope you enjoy the hop today!

If you are joining me from Patricia's Blog, you are in the right place, but if you have just stumbled on the hop today and would like to participate, please go back to the Digi Bells blog to start the hop from the beginning.

For my project today I've created an easel card and paired it with some yellow and blue papers for a sunshine/sky theme. These are from SU!, but I believe they are long retired now. They work great with this image and the summer theme though.

I've colored the image with Copics in blues and yellows to match the papers and then cut it with Circle Nesties. I've stitched the papers with the sewing machine and then embellished with flowers and pearls. The bottom layer has little pennants which were created with paper, eyelets, and twine. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps digital sentiment set "Emma Swinging" designed by Raindrop Echo Designs. I cut the sentiment with a label punch from SU! and added some pearl accents.

Here is a close up of the front of the card...
This card fits the challenges at:
Digi Doodle Shop's Best  - anything goes
Dutch Dare Card Challenge  - sparkle/glitter/bling
Paper Crafting Journey  - anything goes
Samuel Taylor's Challenge  - use Copic or Promarkers
Sassy Studio Designs  - use a punch
Shelly's Images  - show us what you got/anything goes
Creative Card Crew - friendship

Thanks so much for joining us today, to continue hopping please stop over at Erin's Blog and see the beautiful creation she has in store for you! If you don't have time to hop today, no worries, the hop runs from now until February 25th at 10pm MST. For a chance to win the prize you must leave comments on all the DT blogs and then a random winner will be drawn for the prize at the end of the hop along with a couple of random drawings from other DT blogs. And for a second way to win, visit the Digi Bells blog for details on entering your own "Summer Time Fun" creation! Winners will be announced on the Digi Bells blog on the 26th.

Have a wonderful weekend! Happy Hopping!

Funky Love

Hello All and Happy Friday!

Another week of Winter down and now a little bit closer to Spring! It is actually a bit warmer than it has been today, maybe even warm enough for the kids to play outside in the snow. It's also the start of a long weekend for us with a holiday on Monday. I hope you have a great weekend ahead!

Today is new challenge day at Just Magnolia and at Stamp Something and both challenges are easy peasy so no excuses not to play along. First up is my card for JM with our theme of "Love You". I decided to use the love theme but not for Valentine's or with red.

The papers on this card are Graphic 45 and I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The image was colored with Copics and then I stamped on some made with much care postmarks from the Whimsy Postage Stamp set. I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, a glittery chipboard heart and a heart hat pin. The sentiment is a Love Seal from the Whimsy Love Letter Seals set.

This card also fits at:
Get Funky - Show us your heart
Sliekjes Card Challenges -  love
Oldie But Goodie Challenge - Add a heart
Design Dollies - Love
Cupcake Craft - I heart you - use hearts
KB Cute monday - Love
Lawnscaping - NO DIGS and All About Love
Kaboodle Doodles - Hearts and Flowers

Next up is my card for the challenge at Stamp Something which this week is "Funky Somethings" in honor of our sponsor Funky Kits - the home of Sugar Nellie stamps! I've used a new Simply Sassy image called Hippie Chick and I love her!

For the funky element I've used some bright colors and the combo of pink and orange with papers from BG's Green at Heart pack. I've also stitched the edges on this card too. I colored the image with Copics and then embellished the card with sticky gems, flowers, and twine.

This card fits at:
My Grafico - anything goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Stitching
Forgotten Scraps -  Spring or flowers
Copic Creations -  use warm colors

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you will check out our challenges and play long! Have a fantastic Friday!

Girls Rule

Morning!

I need to make this a quick post as I am already behind today and the day has only just begun. I hope you have a fabulous Thursday!

Last week Whimsy released 4 more KennyK rubber stamps and so last night I had a play with "Star"! I just love her! And the potential for fun with these images is endless! I love coloring these images, but I still need some practice, especially with black. What are your favorite Copic colors for achieving a well shaded black?

I went with pink and black for this card because of the designer papers and because it was fun to color hair in a color other than the usual brunette or blonde. The image was colored with Copics to match the papers. I've embellished with eyelet and ribbon lacing, flowers, gems and pearls, and a ticket sentiment from Ann's digital set "Wild Side Tickets" from Whimsy Stamps.

This card fits challenges at:
Paper Take Weekly - Glitter, sparkles, gems etc
Craft Your Passion - Pink
Stamping Scrapping Central  - Pink
Aly's Sunday Challenge - Bling Bling
I Did It Creations - Bling it up

Thanks so much for stopping over today. I will be back tomorrow with a couple new cards for the challenges at JM and SS! Hope to see you then. Have a super day!

A Vintage Tag

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are having a good week. It was nice and warm here on Monday and the snow started to melt, but then got super cold again on Tuesday. I don't like Mother Nature teasing us like that! lol Hope it's starting to warm up where you are!

Today I have a simple project to show you that I created with a piece of chipboard. I have been wanting to use this sweet "Tasty Read" image from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection and so what better project than on a bookmark although I think I will use this as a gift tag.

I've used some Graphic 45 papers, which I love! I have been using them like crazy lately. The bottom layer is actually a piece of My Minds Eye with text on it and then I layered on the floral Graphic 45 piece. I've added some lace and ribbon and a button with a safety pin accent. I've also embellished with flowers and sticky gems.
The image was colored with copics and then cut out and adhered to the tag. I finished off with a Whimsy Stamps postmark from the Postage Sentiment set and then a sentiment from the Graphic 45 paper pack and adhered that with some button brads.

This card fits at:
A Spoonful Of Sugar  - Anything but a card
Bunny Zoe's Crafts  - Spring - flowers Everywhere!
Simon Says Stamp and Show... - A Tag!
Little Claire's - Anything Goes
Our Creative Corner - feature some kind of cutting technique

Thanks so much for stopping over today. I hope you have a great day! And if you are a fan of Elisabeth's work, be sure to join me on Friday when I participate in the new February digital stamp release hop!

A Sketch and Some Love

Happy Friday!

Hope you all had a fabulous week! It was another very cold one here. I tell you, I wish this winter was done already! I am so in need of warmth and sunshine.

Today is new challenge day over at both Just Magnolia and Stamp Something. First up is my Just Magnolia card. This week we have a sketch by the super talented Mina. At first I was a bit unsure how to tackle this sketch but now that I've made my card, I know I will use it again! Thanks Mina! Remember to use either a Magnolia or Hanglar image on your creation to be eligible for the blog candy prize.

I've paired Mina's sketch with some Bo Bunny and My Minds Eye papers. I've stitched the edges and then distressed just a bit. The image is a Hanglar my friend Deb (if you are reading this Deb, miss ya! Hope to catch up soon!) shared with me a while back and she was colored with Copics. I then cut her out and adhered her to the embossed oval centerpiece. I've embellished with ribbons, flowers, a button and twine, and then stamped a small postmark sentiment on the top right corner. This sentiment is part of the new Whimsy Postage Stamp set.

This card fits the challenges at:
Fab 'n' Funky - tempting texture/use texture
Stampavie and More - buttons & lace

Next up is my Stamp Something card and our challenge this week is "Something for your Valentine" or just simply to create something for Valentines or with a love theme. We are sponsored this week by Whiff of Joy so I've gone with a sweet image illustrated by Elisabeth Bell.

The papers are Fancy Pants and perfect for Valentine's. I've colored the image with Copics and then framed with my Nesties (forget the correct name). I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, and sticky gems.

This card fits the challenges at:
Crafts and Me  - red
Creative Craft World - love
Scrapbook Sisters - my Valentine
Sliekjes Card Challenges - love
Stampin' Royalty - hearts
Tiffany Doodles  - Valentine's
Everybody-Art-Challenge - Valentine

For my blog hop creation I used two of the new stamps "Smell the Flowers" illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and also "Postage Stamp Sentiments" designed by Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs. I also used the new Postage Stamp Die to cut out the sentiment.

The papers on this card are Graphic 45 (I think, if I'm wrong someone please correct me!) and they have been stitched and distressed on all layers. I colored the image with Copics in neutral colors to match the papers and because I was going for a more muted color palette. Here is a closer look at the image...

The colors I used were E40, 41, 42, 43, and 44 on the animals and then YG91,93 and R02, 11, and 12 on the flowers.

I added some postmarks to the image and the card with the Postage Stamp set images and then added the postage stamp sentiment. Here is a closer look at the sentiment....(don;t mind my over stamping smudge on the postmark image - kind of fits the distressed look though....

This card was finished off with lace and ribbon trimmings, some sticky pearls, flowers, a heart that was given a crackle effect and then I added a hat pin to the heart. The little Spring sentiment and tag are from the Graphic paper pack.

This card fits the challenges at:
A Spoonful Of Sugar - show some love
My Time To Craft  - hearts & flowers
Oldie But Goodie Challenge -  add a heart

Another Whimsy Peek

Happy Tuesday!

Boy, I am LATE with this post! Yikes! It's been another very busy day here gearing up for the new Whimsy release tomorrow. Have you been checking out the DT sneak peeks? I think they have done an amazing job!

I took some time today to craft a couple of cards and I have one of those to show you now. This card uses two new rubber stamps and a new die. The stamps are "Balloon Mouse" by Meljen's Designs and the other is "Birthday Wish List" by Raindrop Echo Designs. And the die is our new Balloon Die set also created by Ann of Raindrop Echo. I have to say I LOVE this new die set and know for sure I will be using it A LOT and there is a stamp set that coordinates with it too!  So lots and lots of possibilities.

I started with some Fancy Pants papers and then stitched all the edges with the sewing machine. I colored the Balloon Mouse with Copics and then embellished with pearls on the corner (where I actually had a smudge). I cut out the balloons with the die from some scrap papers I had and then added little twine strings and some glitter to jazz them up a bit. I've embellished with pearls on the corners of the card and a piece of ribbon.

This card fits the challenges at:
Bearly Mine  - for men & boys
Scrap-Creations - animal antics
Wee memories - Dust off Those Scraps
Fuzzy Wuzzy  - animal, anything goes
Sew Many Cards  - anything goes
Stampin With The Dragon  – anything goes

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you will join us tomorrow for the official Whimsy release day! The fun starts at noon ET. Have a great night!

Whimsy Sneaky Peek

Happy Monday!

Wow what a busy day! Our family was on vacation at Disney last week and we just got home on Saturday night so I've been playing catch up. We had an awesome time so it was well worth the extra effort to get things done these last couple of day! Hope you've had a good week last week and that your Monday is going well!

So how have you been enjoying the Whimsy sneak peeks? All of our DT members have been sharing sneaks at our upcoming rubber release over the past few days. Today I have my own sneak to share with you too. This card uses the new stamps "Valerie's Spring Rain" and "Fancy Bench" from the Crissy Armstrong Collection and then "Postage Stamp Sentiments" from our Whimsy Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs.

I stamped my Valerie image and then masked her to stamp the bench. The image was colored with copics and then I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The papers are BG Marjolaine, perfect for spring creations and the edges on that paper have also been stitched on the machine. I've embellished with flowers and pearls and some ribbon. I used the new Postage Stamp die to cut out my postage stamp sentiment and then also stamped the postmark, included in this set, on the top corner of the image.

This card fits the challenges at:
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Critter Sketch - Critters
Kaboodle Doodles - Ribbon
Ooh La La Creations - For someone special
Baby Bud  - Friends
Paper Sundaes  - Two or more images
Catch The Bug - Anything Goes
Little Claire's  - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you have a great night! I hope to be back tomorrow with another peek, but if I don't make it, I will definitely see you all here on Wednesday for the big release hop!!

Anything Goes and a Digi

Hi All!

Happy Friday! Hope you are having a good week.

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and our theme this week is simple - "anything goes with the option of ribbons". Please remember to use a Magnolia or Hanglar and Stanglar stamp on your creation to be eligible for the prize.

I went for a very vintage feel for this card and used my BG Curio papers, love them! I've colored the image with Copics and then framed it out with Circle Nesties and distressed the edges to match the distressed edges on the papers. I've embellished with flowers, pearls, ribbon, button with twine, eyelets, and a tag with a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

Next up is my card for the new challenge over at Stamp Something. This week is our first Friday of the new month and than means a new "Go Digi" challenge!

I've used an image from Sassy Studio Designs called "Little Honey's Winter Wendy" and I've paired her with some winter themed Bo Bunny papers. The image was colored with Copics and then framed with Oval Nesties. I've embossed the white layer with the snowflakes folder and then embellished with some ribbon and snowflake die cuts (Winter's Jewel 1 from Whimsy Stamps) and gems.

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you have a great weekend. Be sure to stop by the Whimsy blog today to see who is sneak peeking some of the new February rubber stamps!!
