Diaper Cake

Happy Monday!

Hope you had a nice weekend! Ours was nice. It was very cold here again, I am afraid Spring will never arrive. But we made the most of it. I have a special photo I wanted to share today of a different sort of craft project.

Yesterday was a baby shower for my sister in law and brother to celebrate their new baby boy! I can not wait to meet my nephew and we only have a few more weeks to go! My mom and I created this fun table center piece - a diaper cake!

If you haven't ever made one of these, it was super easy and was a really nice accent for the table. We used lots of diapers and rolled them and then created the 3 layers of the cake. We decorated with ribbons, diaper pins, and lots of baby essentials!

We had a really fun day and we spoiled this little boy big time! Hope you have a great afternoon!

All in a Row and Spring

Happy Friday!

Did you have a good week? It's been good but busy here, didn't get much time in for crafting, but hoping this weekend will mean a break and some me time. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Today we have brand new challenges over at Just Magnolia and at Stamp Something. Sadly, this is my last official JM challenge as a DT member. I'm going to move over and give someone else a shot at working with this amazing group of women. I had the BEST time and I am going to miss them all dearly! It's a sad day for me but I have wonderful memories and the honor of having been given the chance to work on such a special DT. Miss you all already!

Our challenge today is to use this little bingo board and make your card accordingly. I've chosen to go diagonal from top left to bottom right and use Gems, Flowers, and Ribbon and Lace. Be sure to also include either a Magnolia stamp or Hanglar and Stanglar stamp on your creation to be eligible for the blog candy prize.

I've used some pretty Memory Box papers and have stitched the edges on my sewing machine. The layout is from this week's Mojo Monday challenge. I've colored Tilda with Copics and then embellished with sticky gems and pearls, roses, vintage seam binding and a vintage brad, lace, and a crackle paint finished chipboard piece. The sentiment is from the Birthday Letter Seals set from Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits at:
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - Ribbons & Bows
Dutch Dare Card Challenge - Celebrations
Do You Stack Up? - Sparkles and bling bling
Little Miss Muffet Challenges - Brads, Gems or Pearls

Mojo Monday - SKETCH

Next up is my card for our "Spring Somethings" challenge over at Stamp Something. You can create anything you like with spring time in mind. I've made a baby card using the new Rainy Day Duckling image from Whimsy Stamps.

I colored my image with copics and then cut it out and did a second layer of the umbrella for some dimension. I also paper pieced the umbrella with the same papers on my card. Then used some crystal effects to make it shiny. The papers are Heidi Grace from my stash and I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine again. I embellished with ribbons, pearl ribbon slides, vintage seam binding, and a plastic pacifier charm.

This card fits at:

Black and White

Hi All!

Hope you're having a good week. We've been having a great time at Whimsy getting the chance to share all the new rubber stamps and dies with you! The blog hop is ending at Noon ET today, so if you haven't hopped and would like to, you can start the hop HERE.

Today I have a  card to share, similar to one that I saw on Beate Johns blog and decided to CASE the idea from. Beate's card was simply stunning!  I loved her white with black and then coloring the image in grays so I needed to give it a shot. Beate used some different framing on her image which I think makes her card even more beautiful. But I didn't have those shapes and I honestly can't for the life of me get the embossing down when using nesties. But it was fun to color in a different sort of style with this card. And this is an A2 sized card which I haven't made in FOREVER! lol

I started with the daisy image from Crissy Armstrong's set "Darling Daisies" available at Whimsy Stamps. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Copics in C1,2,3,4,5 and 100.  I cut the image with Nesties and then stitched the edges (pretty poorly, actually). The other paper edges were all stitched on the sewing machine as well. The white layer was dry embossed with the Cuttlebug folder Tapestry. I've decorated with ribbon, pearls and sticky gems on the corners. The lacy edging was created with Whimsy's new "Double Scallop Border Die" now available to purchase!

This card fits the challenges at:
A Spoonful Of Sugar - Ribbon, Pearls/Rhinestones & Flowers
Incy Wincy Designs - Embossing
Lexi's Creations ribbons but no bows or knots
Make it Monday - Anything goes
Paper Sundaes Embossing

Thanks so much for dropping by today! Have a great afternoon!

Stamp Something Sweet

Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was nice and relaxing, so relaxing in fact that I totally forgot to post my Stamp Something creation on Friday last week! Ooops!

Our challenge for the week is to stamp something sweet - it can be a sweet image, papers, or 3d item. As long as it says sweet to you, we want to see it! We are sponsored again by Sugar Nellie with a wonderful sweet treat of 4 stamps!

For my card I used this sweet Gorjus Girl and her little kitty! I colored the image with Copics and then distressed the edges, matted on some cream paper and used brads to accent the corners. The papers are also distressed and are from a Prima pack. I've embellished with twine and buttons, some flowers, and 2 new ticket sentiments from Whimsy's Treasured Moments Tickets set.

This card also fits at:
GingerloftDie Cuts or Punches
Let's Ink It Up - Die Cuts or Punches
Send a Smile for Kids -  Anything Goes
Sugar Creek Hollow  - Anything Goe
Totally Gorjuss - Button It
SCS - Way to Use it - Smile

Happy Friday!

Hope you've all had a good week. Mine was busy busy busy! Very much looking forward to the weekend and hopefully some crafty time too.

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and this week we would like to see you use your favorite colors on your creation. Remember to also include a Magnolia or Hanglar and Stanglar image on your creation. Our sponsor this week is Quixotic Paperie!

I went with my favorite colors of blue and green, which these Memory Box papers happen to be! Love these pretty papers. I stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then added some ribbon which was sprayed with glimmer mist to give it the crinkle. The image was colored with copics and accented with glitter and crystal effects. I've embellished with sticky gems and flowers. The sentiment is from the new Treasured Moments Ticket set available now at Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits at:

I'm not going to tell you where they are, so if you haven't found them you'll just have go back to the beginning and start hopping! *wink*

OK, now on to my creation for the hop! I decided to make an easel card using "Tippy by the Tail" illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and "Treasured Moments Tickets" designed by Ann Vento.

I started with some MME papers from the Fine and Dandy collection. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and embellished with ribbon, buttons, twine, sticky gems, and pennants created with more designer paper and our new Shapeology Banner Pennants Die Set.

The image was colored with copics and then cut out and adhered to a dry embossed circle created with circle Nestabilities and the Swiss Dots CB folder. I also added some stickles to the gift bow, but it's not showing up great in the photo.

This is the bottom layer with the pennants. Ann has created a fab set of 3 pieces that can be matted together as I have done, or each used as separate pieces. We also have included alignment tools so you can add stamped letters, words, or images and align with the tool before cutting! The sentiment on this section is from the new "Treasured Moments Ticket" set and the dangly sentiment on the top portion comes with the "Tippy by the Tail" image stamp.

This card fits challenges at:
Anything Goes Challenge - Die Cuts
Claudia & Co -  Real/Faux Stitching, 2DP, buttons, sentiment, circle, scallops.
Clear It Out! - Buttons

Emerald Faeries New Release Hop

 Hi All!

Welcome to the new release blog hop to showcase the two new Emerald Faeries available at Deb's Creations! There are 2 super sweet new images being released today, "Isla" and "Willy and Mia" and these new designs are available to purchase now in digital and preorder in rubber!

Our blog hop began today over on DT member Vicki's blog and if you've been hopping along with us, you should be joining me from Ronda's blog. If you just stumbled on to the hop today, please head back over to Vicki's blog and join the fun!

Isla

I have two cards to share, one using Isla and the other using Willy and Mia. These images were easy to color and lots of fun to work with, I know I will be using them again. I want to thank Deb for inviting me along as a guest DT for this release!

For this card I wanted to go for a more vintage feel and so I've distressed the edges of the papers and kept the colors more muted. Sadly, my attempt to color my own flower with reinkers resulted in an orange flower when I was shooting for peach! It does look less bright in person. The papers are BG Curio. I used the new Whimsy Shapeology Double Scallop border die and some vintage seam binding to create one layer, they used a doily on the other layer. The image was colored with Copics and then framed with a crackle paint finished chipboard piece. I added another layer using the clock image from the new Whimsy Time Flies set and did a cracked glass finish on the face of the clock. The final accents are some vintage brads, flowers, and a charm.

Willy and Mia
Next is my card using the sweet pair Willy and Mia, aren't they darling! I colored the image with Copics and then framed it with oval nesties and added some stitching to the edges.

The papers on this card are Memory Box Minuet and I've stitched all the edges with the sewing machine. I also used the Shapeology Double Border die on the edges of the two smaller paper layers. I've embellished with lots of flowers, glitter, and a sentiment from the new Whimsy Spring Letter Seals set. I cut and adhered some butterflies near the sentiment. They were from a piece of paper. And pearls finish off this card.

Thank you so much for stopping at my blog today. The next stop on the hop is the talented Tracey M! Be sure to stop by her blog and see what she has in store for you today. There will be random prize draws along the way so you won't want to miss any blogs! To be one of the random winners of a free digital stamp of one of these new images, you must be a follower and leave a comment on all blogs. Winners will be announced in 2 days time!

Happy hopping!

Whimsy Stamps - Strong Island

Happy Sunday!

Welcome to the second day of Whimsy Stamps sneak peeks at our new March rubber stamp release! Today we are sharing peeks at the 4 new KennyK stamps releasing on Wednesday, March 16th. The DT girls have created some amazing cards, hop on over to the Whimsy Blog for a list of all the sneaks for today!

Strong Island

My peek today is using the stamp "Strong Island" from the latest KennyK Glam Gang images! I love these fun and sassy designs. So many possibilities for cards and scrap book pages.

I colored this image with Copics and then added some paper piercing along the edges of the image. The papers are BG Wander which have a city/street/urban sort of feel to them. I've embellished with satin ribbon and some new tickets from the Treasured Moments Ticket set designed by Ann Vento and then cut them with the Shapeology Ticket Die. Then added a couple metal tabs for a pop of color and an altered chipboard piece with a crackle finish.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. See you tomorrow when I post another new sneak peek! Have a happy Sunday!

Whimsy Sneak Peek - Celebrate Big!

Good Morning and Happy Saturday!

Hope you're having a great weekend! I don't normally post on the weekend, but today is our first official day of sneak peeks at the new Whimsy March rubber stamps! These new stamps will be available to purchase on Wednesday March 16th.

Celebrate Big!

This is my card using the brand new stamp "Celebrate Big!" illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. This stamp comes as the main image and also the little Celebrate Big sentiment too!

The papers are BG but I don't remember the name at the moment. They are party themed and coordinate really well with this image. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then added the "Birthday Wish List" background stamp by Ann Vento, as another paper layer. This stamp was released last month, but works perfectly with these new images. The image was colored with Copics and then also stitched. I've embellished with ribbon and a sentiment, buttons with twine, and a crackle paint finished star which I made using chipboard and Distressed Crackle paint - love that stuff!

This card fits the challenges at:
Daring Cardmakers - home baked (create at least one of your embellishments)
Fairy Fun Fridays -  it's my party/have a party theme
Fun with Shapes & More - must include die cut/punch - happy birthday
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Birthday card, gift packaging or gifts

The challenge at JM is a sketch by our super talented Bev and then at SS we want you to create something with Cream and Green as your colors.

I started with Bev's fab sketch and then used some new Prima papers for the cream and green color combo. The image was colored with Copics and cut out and adhered to the embossed circle. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and accented with ribbon, a button, pearls, and flowers.

This card fits the challenges at:

A Special Card

Hello All!

Hope you had a fabulous weekend and that your week is off to a great start. I woke up this morning and couldn't remember what day it was, can you tell it's already been a loooong week and it's only Tuesday! lol Thankfully though, everyone is back to being healthy and back a school this week. And it's suppose to be in the 40's this weekend! Getting all excited here for some warmer weather! lol

I have a card to share today, one that I created for a special reason. My friend Michelle has a post on her blog asking for help from the crafting community. There is a little girl, named Haeli, who is fighting a rare form of ovarian cancer and she's only in the 6th grade. It's just so sad when anyone has to battle cancer, but even worse when it's children. Michelle is asking that anyone can and wants, please send a card to Haeli to let her know people are thinking of her and praying for her to beat this disease! You can read more about this request on Michelle's blog HERE.

The card I made for Haeli uses one of Deb's Creations sweet Emerald Faeries. This is Ebony and she's available in both rubber and digital format. You can find all the Emerald Faeries HERE. I colored this image with Copics and then paper pierced the edges. The papers are Prima Jack and Jill and I've embellished with flowers, glitter, pearls, and some ribbon and twine with a little ladybug charm.

This card fits some challenges too...
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
House of Gilli - Green
Magical Mondays - FANTASY and Spring Colours
Paper Playtime - Anything goes with a Digi
Aly's Sunday Challenge - Anything goes
Crafty Pad  - Use Ribbon
Gingerloft - Use flowers
One Stitch At A Time - Use a Charm

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great afternoon! And if you feel like stamping, why not make a card for Haeli.

Anything Goes and A Digi

Good Morning!

Happy Friday! Hope you've had a good week. Sorry I haven't posted all week, my daughter was sick most of the week and so my crafting time was little. I do have a couple of cards to share today though. Friday brings 2 new challenges, one over at Just Magnolia and the other at Stamp Something.

Stamp Something
First up is my card for Stamp Something. This week we have our monthly digi day challenge which means if it's digital, you can enter it! You can use digi images, papers, digital layouts, etc, but please be sure your project is new. We have many fab prizes up for grabs from our sponsors.

For my card I've used a brand new Whimsy Stamps digi illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. This sweet little guy is called "Whatzup Dog!" and I think he's darling! There are 2 other new dog images and a set of party accessories, that you can use with him or with any other image. And Whimsy is one of our sponsors this week, so you could be a lucky winner and get to pick these new images, if you play along!

I colored the image with Copics in grey tones and added some black as well. The card is simple as I plan to use this for a masculine birthday card later on. The papers are BG Max and Whiskers and I've added some black brads to the corners and a dog bone and paw print piece of ribbon to accent.

This card also fits at:
Creative Belli  - animals
Creative Craft World  - for a male
Sisterhood of Crafters  - ribbon and brads
Paper Playtime - Anything goes with a Digi

Next up is my card for this week's JM challenge which is "anything goes" with the option of glitter. And remember you can use any Magnolia and/or Hanglar and Stanglar images to qualify for the prize.

I've used this Tilda with her lilacs and colored her to match the Graphic 45 papers. I LOVE these papers and need to order more! I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then distressed them a bit too. The image was colored with Copics and then I added some white flower soft to create the white lilacs. I've embellished with swirls of gems and flowers that have been glittered up with twinklet and then some lace and vintage seam binding.

This card fits at:
Fab 'n' Funky  - spring
Scrapbook Sisters - Spring
Simon Says Stamp - recipe - 1 image, 2 DP, 3 embellishments
Anything Goes Challenge - Distressing
Oldie But Goodie Challenge - Spring is in the Air
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Spring - flowers Everywhere!
Craft Your Passion - Girly
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
