Morning All!
Today, I have some exciting news! First, Whimsy Stamps is sponsoring the challenge over at Creative Card Crew! The theme for the challenge is weddings. There are beautiful samples created by the design team for inspiration and they have kindly asked me to be a guest designer, which of course, I was very happy to do. Thanks ladies!
My other bit of exciting news is that Whimsy Stamps will be launching a new venture into the digital world of images! Have no fear, we have NO plans to change our Animals and Kids Collections, they will remain and continue as rubber stamps. But, as many new digital images are popping up all over, we thought it would be fun to add a new digital collection of images to our shop as well.
These new digital images will be available for purchase on our site very soon. Once purchased, you will receive an email containing a JPEG format of the image file which can be downloaded and printed in a variety of sizes to fit your crafting needs!
The first image in our digital line is called Wedding Cake and Kisses and here is the card I made for the challenge at Creative Card Crew using this image.
This new digital image was actually inspired by my brother and his wife at their wedding having the first bite of wedding cake! I have printed out the image and colored it with Copics and also added some glitter glue to make the wedding dress sparkle. It's a very easy image to work with and I think you could just leave it black and white also.
The papers are some from a pack I actually picked up at WalMart of all places. I had no idea they had a collection of scrap booking and stamping supplies! I used black and white card stock from SU! and a layer of printed paper with a layer of designer vellum over it. I kept this card simple and only embellished with rhinestone brads, ribbon, paper roses for a pop of color, and a love charm.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll head on over to Creative Card Crew and join in the challenge! Happy stamping! :)

Whimsy Color Challenge and Then Some...
Happy Monday Morning All!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! We went to Vermont with family and had a great time. Although it did rain a bit, big surprise, I know, we did have a fun time! We're back now and the week has begun. Hope your morning is off to a good start. I have a busy day of house work and errands, but before I get to all of that I wanted to share my card for this week's Whimsy Stamps Challenge.
The challenge this week is to use the color combo of red, yellow, and orange on your project. You don't need to use a Whimsy image and you can combine with other challenges. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and the button challenge from Pile it On!
My card uses retired SU! papers with reds, oranges, and yellows. I also used Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron card stock. The image is Whimsy Duck and has been colored with Copics. I embellished with striped grosgrain ribbon, buttons, and a felt flower. The sentiment is from Whimsy Animal Love.
Thanks for dropping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with a Whimsy Sneak Peek! Have a great day! Happy stamping! :)

Embellish It!
Please scroll down for Whimsy Blog Hop posts
Happy Friday All!
Hope you all had a great week. It's been very busy here with lots going on and I sure am ready for the weekend!
As you all know, Friday means Stamp Something day with a new challenge and this week we want to see your embellished somethings. You can make anything you wish, a card or scrap page or even a 3D item, and all we ask is that you use at least 3 embellishments. You can use anything from flowers to brads or eyelets to chipboard and you can use as many as you want. Head on over to Stamp Something and check out this week's embellishment blog candy donated by My Little Ribbon Shop and of course take a look at the sweet embellished eye candy the DT created this week using donations from our sponsor!
Here's my card for this challenge....
I created this one using BasicGrey Urban Prairie papers with matching SU! card stock. The image is a sweet Gorjuss Girl and she has some paper piecing on her outfit. This fits with the challenge at Lili of the Valley. I also was in the mood for flowers as the sun was actually shining when I was making this card! Amazing, I know! The challenge at Creative Card Crew is whatever the weather so I got that covered with this one too! And lastly, the challenge at Charisma Cardz is to create anything you wish, so I made this a birthday card with the sentiment Wish Big from SU!.
Now, as for Stamp Something and all my embellishments, well I covered that challenge with the chipboard button, black and white gingham ribbon, Prima Flowers, Buttons, Brads, and the flower charm! I'd say I definitely embellished it! And I have to say, I don't typically combine challenges when it's Stamp Something day, but this week has been crazy busy and I haven't had much time for crafting so I wanted to get the most bang for my buck! And, since we don't mind if you combine our challenges with other challenges, I decided why not!
Thanks for dropping by today, have a fabulous weekend! Hope the sun is shining where ever you are! Happy Stamping! :)

If you're just joining me, the actual hop starts here at Deb's blog! Head on over and see what Deb has created for you and then continue along the hop to see what everyone else has been up to!
And if you take this blog hop tour and comment on each of the posts, you just might be the lucky winner of a Whimsy Stamps prize pack! We don't know which DT member will be drawing that one winning name, so be sure to leave comments everywhere you hop!
My challenge to the design team for this hop was to create something using your favorite color combo and your favorite Whimsy Stamps image. For my card, I chose to use Pajama Time Emma, I love this sweet stamp! I also needed to make a welcome baby card and I think she's perfect for this theme.
I went with one of my favorite color combos of pink, green, and yellow. I found some old designer paper from SU!, I think it was from a Simply Scrappin' Kit actually and then grabbed some pink and green card stock.
The image has been colored using Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen. I made a gate fold card for this one and used various buttons, brads, flowers, pins, and ribbon all in coordinating colors to complete the card. The sentiment is from SU! Short and Sweet.
Thanks for making this stop on the hop. Next you'll want to hop on over to Vicki's blog to see what she has created for you today! Thanks for taking the Whimsy Blog Hop today, hope you enjoy the eye candy we have for you! :)

Summery Challenge
Hi All!
Hope you're having a good day. I've been busy with errands and kids home from school, forgot what that was like! Finally, have a couple minutes to myself while they are watching a movie. It's another rainy day here so no outside time again!
I wanted to share a card I made last night using a few of the week's challenges. I found some old paper in the closet that fit the color challenge at Colour Create which was to use any three of their choices. I went with Raspberry, Kiwi, and Tangerine. This patterned paper has various shades of those colors and I also added these colors to my image of sweet little Daisy using my Copics.
I used the sketch from Cupcake Craft challenge, one I think I would definitely use again. And then finally by choosing this image, my card works for the ABC Challenge of S is for Summer. We sure could use some Summer here. It's been raining every day for a week now and it looks like it's going to stay that way for a few more days! Yuck!
I embellished with grosgrain ribbon, vanilla HPH, Prima flowers, and pearls. I also embossed the pink piece with the paisley folder and my CB.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great afternoon. Join me and my fellow Whimsy DT members tomorrow for a blog hop! Happy Stamping! :)

A Recipe for Teacher
Hi All,
Happy Monday to you! Hope everyone had a nice weekend and that the Dad's out there had a nice Father's Day too. We had a rainy weekend here, so we spent a lot of time inside, unfortunately!
Inside time does mean crafting time though and today I have a card and a project to share with you. First, is this card I made for the new challenge at Whimsy Challenges which is a recipe challenge. We want you to use 2 patterned papers, 1 ribbon, and 3 embellishments such as brads or buttons or flowers.
I kept my card fairly simple as I had to make a few for the teachers at my son's school. Today is his last day of Kindergarten! It's going to be a busy day of Kindergarten festivities and then a family dinner tonight. The papers are school themed from a pack of Fancy Pants Designs papers. The sketch is from the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar.
I also wanted to share the teacher gifts I made for his classroom teachers. These are chipboard coaster post it note holders. Each piece of chipboard has been covered with designer paper and then tied to each other with grosgrain ribbons to form a box. The bottom is another coaster that has been glued inside.
I embellished the sides with various items including chipboard shapes, Scrabble letters, wooden "school" themed pieces and also a little wiggly worm from the new Whimsy Animals Accessories collection! This is a little sneak peek for you, this little guy and a few more friends will be released in mid to late July!
Inside each box is a set of post it notes and a pen which I took apart and placed a rolled up piece of designer paper inside of to have it match the outside of the boxes. A functional and cute gift for a teacher's desk! And other than taking a little time, they are pretty easy to make too!
Before I take off for the day, I wanted to also share some fun news! Maddy Hill, of Mad Imaginations, has joined the Whimsy Stamps Design Team! We are very fortunate and excited to have her and can't wait to get creating! Welcome to the team Maddy!
Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy the rest of your Monday. If you're up for a challenge, head on over to Whimsy Challenges and join us in our recipe challenge! Happy stamping! :)

Color Challenge with Stamp Something
Happy Friday All!
Hope everyone had a great week! We are excited to bring you a new challenge today over at Stamp Something! Our challenge this week was designed by our sponsor, Paper Makeup Stamps! They have generously donated images for the design team to use as well as a fabulous blog candy prize!
The challenge this week is a color challenge. Katie, the owner and creator of "PMS" wants to see you use black, white, and only one other color. It could be your favorite color or just one that works well with your papers and image. Have fun with this challenge and you just might win some great Paper Makeup goodies! Head on over to Stamp Something for more details and to see the DT inspiration samples!
This is my black, white, and red card using Paper Make Up image Christi Fairy.
She was fun to color and easy to work with. I added some paper piecing to her dress and colored her with Copics. The final touch on the image was to add some Stickles to her wings and some CE to her cherries to make them glossy.
I used some retired Stampin' Up! papers in Real Red and stitched them to the black card stock layers. I used a white gel pen to add accent dots. The sentiment is also from PMS and is framed with the scalloped circle punch. The final embellishments were some black and white gingham ribbon with a cherry charm, a paper flower with a paper rose center, and a photo corner punch.
Thanks for popping over today. I hope you'll join us at Stamp Something and share your color creations with us! Happy Stamping! :)

Raining Challenges
Hi All!
Hope you're enjoying your day. It's a cloudy day here with rain on the way, so in other words, a great day for stamping! I've made a card using a few of this week's challenges and thought I'd share that with you before making my daughter lunch.
Here's my card...
Since it suppose to rain, I thought I'd make use of my Rainy Day Emma stamp and I paired her with this grassy hill image that my friend Erin shared with me yesterday. I did some paper piecing on the umbrella and dress as well as popping up the umbrella to make a 3D look. I added some bubble stickers for rain and accented this card with felt flowers, twine, and a button. The sentiment is on a pull out tag with different ribbon embellishments and a jumbo eyelet.
This card qualifies for the challenges at Charisma Cardz which was "diamonds are a girls best friend", I only used one little diamond on Emma's necklace, so I hope this still counts. Cute Card Thursday which was Tag You're It, which my pull out sentiment tag covers. Then at Simon Says Stamp which are celebrating a blogoversary and we were asked to create a birthday or celebration card. Lili of the Valley is asking for paper piecing and lastly, Pile It On, which asked for the use of at least 2 ribbons as well as combining with other challenges!
So five challenges, not too bad! Thanks for stopping on by today, I'm off to visit you all now and see what you've been up to lately and then it's time for some lunch. Have a great afternoon, happy stamping! :)

Sweet Little Girls
Happy Wednesday!
I'm gearing up for a visit with a friend today, but before she arrives I wanted to make a quick post to share a card I made using the sketch from Sketch Saturday. It was a fun sketch that I think I will be using again.
I received these sweet Gorjuss Girl images from my friend Marcea and have been waiting for the right time to use them. I think this sketch was perfect to use both together. I colored them with Copics in coordinating colors. Then used some BasicGrey Bittersweet papers to make the card. I think this sketch layout really makes the images the focal point, no need for many embellishments. I tried to add some flowers because well every card needs flowers, right! But they just didn't look good anywhere, so I left it alone. The simple embellishments are grosgrain and stitched ribbon from Stampin' Up! and some dew drop beads. The sentiment is also SU! from the set Short and Sweet.
Thanks for popping over today, enjoy your day! I'm off now, but hope to be back again tomorrow. Until then, happy stamping! :)

Something Different
Hi All,
Hope you're having a good day. I've had some time to stamp this morning and made a card that's a little bit different from what I typically create. This one is not for any challenges and doesn't use a specific sketch or theme.
I have been neglecting my Layers of Colors stamps, so I grabbed some of those and some retired Stampin' Up! designer paper and created this card.
I used the entwined roses for the main image, they are from the set Renaissance Hearts, it's probably one of my favorite LOC stamps. I stamped the image on vellum, colored with copics, and then adhered to the vanilla paper upside down to create a softer look. Using some white craft ink, I stamped some bubble swirls from the set Dotted Delights onto another piece of vellum and flipped that over as well and adhered that to the second layer. The embellishments are distressed edges and vanilla brads.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm going to get back to some crafting while my daughter is coloring some digi images. Have a great day, happy stamping! :)

Thank You Challenge
Happy Monday Morning All,
Is it still morning? Things have been crazy here, I don't even know what time it is! I do know that it's Monday and we are at the start of a new week and Monday also means a new Whimsy Challenges challenge!
Today we want to see you create something that says thank you. You can make a card, scrap book page, or alter an item. As long as it's a thank you creation, it will work! We will draw one winner at random to receive a free stamp. Head over to Whimsy Challenges to check things out! And remember, you do NOT need to use a Whimsy image to play along, but if you have one, why not use it!
This is my Thank You card. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and also added some ribbon to play in the new challenge site Pile it On! They are a fun site where you use their challenge as well as combining other challenges. Cool right, we all know how busy life can get some combining challenges is a perfect time saver!
The papers are BasicGrey Marrakech and SU! Night of Navy with Bashful Blue. My Whimsy Frog has been neglected so I used him for the image on this one. He's been colored with Copics and highlighted with gel pen. I cut him out and popped him up on foam tape. The background water around him is twinkling H2Os and crystal effects will stickles. I added some embossing with my Cuttlebug and then finished off with grosgrain ribbons, a bee charm, blue beads, flowers, buttons, and silver brads.
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out the Whimsy Challenges DT samples and if you are up for a challenge, join us! Have a great Monday, happy stamping! :)

Sketch with Dog Gone
Good Morning Everyone and happy Friday!
I know I'm happy that Friday is here! We have another new challenge for you over on Stamp Something. This week we want to see you use a sketch to create your card or scrapbook page. Our former designer Emily Weems created this sketch and we hope you enjoy using it as much as we did!
The design team has created their projects using stamps from Dog Gone Stamps, who happen to be the sponsor for the challenge this week. They generously donated stamps for the DT and the blog candy for one lucky winner! Visit Stamp Something for all the challenge details!
This is my card using this cute birthday dog image....
I used our sketch along with the color combo from Cupcake Craft challenge to create my card. The image has been colored with Copics and I used some stickles on the hat. The papers are BasicGrey Urban Prairie and Stampin' Up! Pink Passion, Pink Pirouette, and Bashful Blue card stock. I've embossed with the Cuttlebug on the blue layers and added some white gel pen dots on the bright pink layers. The final accents are some grosgrain ribbon with a ribbon slide and Prima flowers with a rhinestone brad.
Thanks for stopping by, we are heading to the children's museum with our kids today. Hope you have something fun planned too! Have a great weekend, happy stamping! :)

The final accents are some grosgrain ribbon with a ribbon slide and Prima flowers with a rhinestone brad.
Thanks for stopping by, we are heading to the children's museum with our kids today. Hope you have something fun planned too! Have a great weekend, happy stamping! :)

Something Yummy
Hi All!
Happy Thursday to you, I can't believe this week is almost over. Good thing too, I'm in need of a weekend!
So while my daughter was coloring this morning, I decided to do some coloring of my own and made this card.
I used the sketch from Whiff of Joy challenges along with the challenges of "something yummy" at Charisma Cardz and "quotations" at Cute Card Thursday. I definitely think strawberries are yummy and I was very excited to be able to use my new strawberry charms from Quixotic Paperie and this cute Whiff of Joy image, which I received from Erin. Strawberries, strawberries, strawberries! And the sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.
The papers are retired Stampin' Up! designer prints and some Real Red and Bashful Blue card stock. I also added an embossed layer of vellum. I distressed the edges of some of the papers and the vellum. The embellishments are a felt flower and metal accent with a paper rose, some organdy ribbon, rhinestone brads, and finally a strawberry charm tied on with gingham ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy the rest of your afternoon and evening. I'll be back tomorrow with a new Stamp Something challenge, see you then! Happy stamping! :)
Oh and if you're looking for something yummy, check out the fabulous birthday blog candy Erin has up for grabs!

Some Challenges
Good Afternoon,
Today is just flying by! I had intended to post this card earlier as I made it this morning but I'm only now getting to it. Hope you're having a good and productive day!
I created this card using the sketch at Sketch and Stash and then added some rose accents to fit the ABC Challenge of R is for roses.
I like the way this turned out but I really don't love it. I think it's too plain, it needs something else, but I'm not sure what. And I didn't have time this morning to figure it out. Maybe later!
The image is a Sugar Nellie and has been colored with Copic markers. The papers are SU! Parisian Breeze and some Kraft, Baja, and Chocolate card stock to match. The accents are wide grosgrain ribbon, brads, felt flowers, and paper roses. I'm loving these roses, but am running out, what will I do?! I think I need to start hording them!
So there's the card, pretty simple, I think that's why I'm not crazy about it. Hope to have some crafting time tomorrow and to be able to join in some more challenges. Have a great night! Happy Stamping! :)

Just Magnolia and More...
Hello All,
Hope you're Tuesday is going well. It's been rainy here all day, perfect for a stamping day! I was out checking on the challenges today and decided to make a card for a few of them.
I started with the sketch at Just Magnolia and combined that with the colors of pink and brown from Charisma Cardz and then added some butterflies to fit with A Spoon Full of Sugar.
My images have all been colored with Copic markers and then cut out and adhered to the circle framed with my scalloped Nesties. The papers are BasicGrey Bittersweet and Stampin' Up! card stock in Purely Pomegranate, Pink Pirouette, and Chocolate Chip. The accents are some grosgrain and taffeta ribbon, Prima flowers and roses, and a piece of silver hodgepodge hardware. I also added some stickles to the wings on the butterfly and Tilda.
Thanks for stopping by today, I think I'm off to do some stamping. Happy Stamping to you!! :)

Purrrfect Sketch
Happy Monday All!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. The weather was great here so we spent most of our time outside doing yard work and playing with the kids. And now here we are to the start of another week! The weekends are always too short, huh!
Today means a new Whimsy Stamps Challenge though! We are moving the challenges to every Monday and opening them to anyone who would like to join in. You do NOT need to use a Whimsy Stamps image on your creations, but or course if you have one, we'd love to see you use it!
The challenge today is to use this sketch which was designed by my friend Emily Weems. It's a great sketch that will accommodate many different images. I hope you'll join in the challenge this week and get in on your chance to win some BasicGrey goodies. Head on over to Whimsy Challenges for more info!
The card I made uses new Whimsy Lion and he's been colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen. I also cut him out and popped him up on foam tape.
The papers are various prints from a scrap pack along with SU! Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, and Baja Breeze. I kept this card fairly simple and only added a sentiment, some felt ribbon, brads, and paper piercing. I think this will work for a good masculine card.
Thanks for stopping on over today. I hope to have a chance to visit you all later too. Have a great afternoon. Happy Stamping! :)

Stamp Something Old, Something New
Morning All,
It's a new month over at Stamp Something and we've got lots of new things to talk about! We have a new design team made up of some old and new designers, this month is kicking off new challenges and new sponsors, and we've redesigned our site! And so in the name of newness we want to see you create something old, something new....a wedding theme! Anything wedding goes for this challenge and since it is the season for weddings, we thought why not!
This week we are sponsored by the first of many new sponsors to come at Stamp Something, and it's My Grafico! They have a great range of commercial use graphics with many unique designs, and they also have their own online community. Be sure to hop over to Stamp Something and check out the great blog candy prize this week as well as visiting My Grafico to see all they have to offer!
My Grafico kindly donated a digital stamp set for the entire Stamp Something design team to use for our projects this week. Here's the card I made...
I went with the Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue wedding theme. This card using a new image, blue papers, old tulle from a dress, and a borrowed hat pin with pearls from my stash. That last one's a stretch!
I wanted a distressed/vintage feel so I inked up the designer papers with swirls from Baroque Motifs from SU! and then distressed all the edges. The tulle has been sewn to the blue paper with a sewing machine. I also embossed with the Cuttlebug and Swirls folder and sponged on ink. The embellishments on the card are lace ribbon, taffeta ribbon, beads, pearls, and a hat pin.
For the image, I printed it out to the size I wanted. Then colored with an ivory Copic marker. I stitched the image piece to another designer print in blue and once the card was together I added pearls and glitter to the dress. I tried an iridescent Elmer's glue for the dress but when I added the glitter that sort of went away. But I'm happy with the way this turned ou t anyway. The final accent was to add paper roses in blue.
Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend. I hope you'll join us at Stamp Something this week. Oh and be sure to also check out the DT samples and show the new girls a little love!

Many Challenges....
Afternoon!
Hope you're day is going well. It's been beautiful here and I've been gardening with my daughter, but now we're back inside having lunch. I had some time earlier today to make a card for some challenges and wanted to make a quick post to share. I'm hoping to head back outside later and continue the gardening.
I created this card using the challenges at ABC Challenge, Whiff of Joy, Cupcake Craft, Papertake Weekly and Color Throwdown. The challenges were Q for Quilt over at ABC, use charms at WOJ, use fairies for Cupcake, a sketch at PTW, and lastly the colors of green galore, pink passion, and chocolate chip at Throwdown.
I used this beautiful angel image from Whiff of Joy which I received from my friend Marcea. She's been colored with Copics. The challenge at Cupcake was fairies and I think this image comes close, she does have wings! The papers are all BasicGrey with some SU! card stock. The colors aren't exactly those from the Throwdown because I wanted to create a softer look. The accents are stitching to qualify for the quilting at ABC and then some ribbons, flower embellishments and hodgepodge hardware with the final accent of a Thank You charm to fit WOJ.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'm off to the backyard. Enjoy your afternoon! Happy stamping! :)

Whiff of Joy and Sketch Saturday
Morning All!
Hope you're day is going well. I have a busy morning of house "stuff" and then some errands and appointments later. I did make a point to play along with some of the card challenges and had me some stamping fun last night though! :) I'm hoping to have a chance to stamp later today too.
This is the card I came up with for the challenges at Whiff of Joy and Sketch Saturday....
The Whiff challenge this week was to use blue and brown and over at Sketch Saturday they are celebrating their blogoversary with lots of great prizes! Be sure to check out both of these challenges!
I used this sweet image that my friend Erin stamped me and colored her with Copics. This little one is on her way to someone special too! The papers are SU! Parisian Breeze and some Kraft, Chocolate Chip, and Baja Breeze card stock. I just saw too that these pretty papers are being retired and soon! ACK! I better stock up!
The accents are some taffeta and organdy ribbon with brads and different floral embellishments. The sentiment is also from Whiff of Joy and I got that from my friend Marcea! I tell ya, swapping images is lots of fun! Although now I think I need some of these stamps! LOL!
Well, have a great day! See you again tomorrow, I hope! Happy Stamping! :)

Animals and a Sketch
Hi All,
Hope your Monday is off to a great start. I can't believe another week is under way and that it's already June! Time sure does fly! I had a chance to do some stamping this morning, so I headed straight for the challenge sites!
I made a card using the sketch from Friday Sketchers and the challenge themes of Animals and Insects at Just Magnolia and Animals at Simon Says Stamp. The sketch was unique and at first I wasn't sure I would be able to work with it, but I managed to figure it out! And then the animals challenge was tricky too as I wanted to use this cute Tilda image, but found some birds that I got from a swap, which I cut out and popped up on foam tape. I think they are Magnolia, but not positive. Now that covers all the challenges!
The papers are from a mat pack and the card stock is all SU!. The embellishments are white gel pen dots, silver brads, prima flowers, and felt flowers. The sentiment is from SU! Short and Sweet and the images were colored with Copics.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great afternoon! Happy Stamping! :)
