Happy Friday All!
And Happy Royal Wedding Day to all you UK readers! I hope you've had a great week. I've been super busy and didn't have time to craft at all. I can't believe it's been a whole week since my last post. Sorry about that! Sadly, though, I think that is how things are going to be for a bit as the summer time approaches and the kids get out of school.
Today is new challenge day at Stamp Something and this week we want to see Something with Wings! It can be fairies or butterflies or bugs anything with wings will work for this one. I've chosen to use a new Whimsy Stamps fairy illustrated by Meljen's Designs. This one is called "Little Fairy Friend" and she's sweet!
I've colored the image with Copics and then added lots of stickles to her wings to glitter them up. The papers are Prima and have been distressed and stitched on the sewing machine and then painted with crackle paint. I've embellished with flowers, lace, vintage seam binding, pearls, and a tag with a fairy charm - soon to be available at Whimsy Stamps. Just need to get them loaded into the store, hopefully this weekend. The sentiment is from the Handmade Letter Seals set.
This card also fits at:
Crafts and Me - vintage/distress
Creative Card Crew - Child's Play
My Mum's Craft shop - flowers
Scrapbook Sisters - distress
Stampavie and More - pearls
Everybody-Art-Challenge - Fairies
Partytime Tuesdays - Anything Goes
The Stamping Boutique - Winged Things
Make it Monday - Anything goes
Thanks so much for dropping by today. Hope you have a fabulous weekend too!

A No Calorie Recipe
Happy Friday!
How was your week? Good I hope! I'm looking forward to our weekend and celebrating Easter with the kids on Sunday. Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter too!
Today is new challenge day over at Stamp Something and this week we have a recipe challenge for you. But the good kind, a no calorie recipe! We would like to see you create something with Flowers, Buttons, and Sparkle. You can of course add other items, but be sure to include these three in your creations.
Our sponsor this week is Funky Kits so I've used this sweet Gorjuss Girl and colored her with Copics and added some sparkle with stickles. The papers are from Prima and have been distressed with scissors and some crackle paint. They were also stitched on the sewing machine. I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, button, twine, beads, and more glitter. I also used the Postcard BG and Everyday Mini Postage Stamps from Whimsy on this card.
This card also fits at:
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Anything goes
C.R.A.F.T. - Flowers
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - Glitter & glitz
Samuel Taylor's Challenge - Distressing
Sassy Studio Designs - Pastels
Southern Girls - Green & blue
Freshly Brewed - sparkle and shine
My Mum's Craft shop - glitter
Scrapbook Sisters - buttons
Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend!

Happy Birthday
Hi All!
Hope you're having a good week. It's super raw and cold here today, so we've been snuggled up inside staying warm and that means stamping too! Hoping for some sunshine tomorrow though, getting tired of these dreary cold days.
I wanted to thank all the lovely ladies who have left comments lately about my sewing on cards. I have to admit though, it's all the machine! lol Really, if it weren't for wanting to have a pretty detail on a card, I would never even think twice about a sewing machine. I certainly don't sew and am horrible at it. I really believe if you have a sewing machine and want stitching on your card, drag it out and put it to work!
I made a card today that doesn't have any sewing and I'm thinking that it doesn't look as finished as my other cards. I guess I was being a bit lazy today and didn't feel like stitching, but looking at it now, I wish I had done some. I still like the card, but think the stitching really finishes them off nicely.
For this card I've used the image Cupcake Bliss from Whimsy Stamps with the sentiment from Balloon Sentiments and used the Balloon Die to cut the balloon shape. The image was colored with copics and then cut out and adhered to an embossed circle. The papers are MME Fine and Dandy with glitter added to the edges. I've embellished simply with sticky gems and a piece of twine on the balloon.
This card fits the challenges at:
A Spoonful Of Sugar - Lets Celebrate (sponsored by Whimsy)
Creative Craft Challenges - Embossing
Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge - Anything Goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Open Challenge
KB Cute Monday - Birthday
Ooh La La Creations - Aqua, Bling and a Sentiment
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great Wednesday!

Floating Away
Good Morning!
Hope your week is going well so far. I can't believe another weekend is already over, they always go so fast. My kids are on Spring break this week, so we will be busy! Last Friday we posted a new Stamp Something challenge, but I didn't have my card ready. Now I do! So I thought I would share that with you today.
The challenge this week is "April Showers" and you can interpret this in a few ways. One way is to use an image or paper with rain, clouds, umbrellas, etc. Another way is to use water coloring on your creation or create rain or clouds using various techniques. I have chosen to use paper with clouds and then to make my own clouds on the image by coloring them with Copics. I found a fab tutorial on our DT member Annika's blog.
The image is new from Whimsy Stamps and is called "Come Fly with Me" and it's been colored with copics and then used Annika's tutorial for creating the cloudy sky background. The papers are MME and have been stitched on the sewing machine. I've kept the embellishments simple on this card so that I can use it for a masculine birthday card. I've used some vintage seam binding and CE on the balloon to create a glossy effect.
This card fits the challenges at:
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - One for the Boys
Craft Your Passion - You've been spotted (use dots)
Lawnscaping - Critters
Make it Monday - Anything goes
Paper Playtime - Weather
Stamp with Fun - Birthday
Let's Ink It Up - Stitching
Pile It On - Use a rubber stamp (no digis)
Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you have a great week! See you soon, I hope!

Whimsy Sneak Peek
Hello and Happy Tuesday!
This is going to be a very quick post as I have a lot to get done today, but it's an exciting time. Tomorrow is our April release over at Whimsy Stamps and for the last few days the DT gals have been sharing some sneak peeks. Hope you've been enjoying them!
I have a quick peek for you today. It's a card using the new stamps "Big Comfy Cake" and "Party Mini Letter Seals". Crissy has illustrated this sweet giraffe with a rather smashed birthday cake and then Ann created these super fun mini letter seals with a party theme.
My card is rather simple as I was short on time to craft. Hoping to get more time later this week as I would love to ink up all of these fun new stamps! I've colored this image with Copics. The papers are MME and I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine. I embellished with ribbon, twine and a charm, and some pearls.
Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you have a great afternoon. Be sure to check in at Noon ET tomorrow for the start of our new release hop!

Help for Japan
Today Whimsy Stamps is hosting a special event blog hop. The Whimsy DT gals and the members of Crissy's Crew have come together to support our "Help for Japan" fund raising efforts. The Whimsy Stamps artists have each created a special digital stamp image and sentiment set which are for sale now in the Whimsy shop. All proceeds (minus PayPal fees) will be collected and sent to the American Red Cross disaster relief fund on behalf of the people effected by the Japan earthquake and Pacific Tsunami. We hope you will visit the shop and hop along with us to show your support for the people devastated by these disasters.
The blog hop begins at Noon ET over at artist Crissy Armstrong's blog. And from there you will be taken around to see all of these new images in action! There will be prize stops along the way as well. It's sure to be a fun day, but also one we hope will help the people who need it most.
The new digital designs created especially for this cause are:
"Anime DJ" illustrated by Kenny K
"Heartfelt Angel" illustrated by Crissy Armstrong
"Help for Japan - a sentiment set" designed by Ann Vento
"Kimono Bear" illustrated by Meljen's Designs
Each of these new stamps will be for sale individually and as a set. These images go on sale today and will be available through the end of April. You can visit the American Red Cross to see other ways you can help in their efforts to help with disaster relief efforts. Their website is www.redcross.org. And if you have any questions about our fund raising efforts, please contact us at whimsystamps@gmail.com.
Thank you!

New Digital Stamps!
Today is new digi release day over at Whimsy Stamps and our team is celebrating with a blog hop! We have lots of super cute new images from Crissy Armstrong! If you want to join in the hop, pop on over to the Whimsy Inspirations blog and start hopping!
The card I created today uses Crissy's image called "New Chickie" which would be perfect on a baby card, Easter creation, or spring themed project.
I've chosen to make a card with a bit of a vintage feel. The papers are Graphic 45 Once Upon a Spring Time and I've distressed the edges. The image was colored with Copics and then cut out and adhered to an embossed circle. I added a decorative edge with the Double Scallop Border Die available at Whimsy and then embellished with flowers and pearls, and a piece of pleated vintage seam binding.
This card fits challenges over at:
Amber's Crafts and Stuff - use flowers
Creative Craft World - Easter
A Spoonful Of Sugar - Easter
Clear It Out! - Flowers, Flowers & more Flowers
Tuesday Throwdown - Florals
Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Stamp Something Digi
Happy Friday!
Wow, I didn't post all week. Yikes! Can you tell my stamping and blogging time as been all but nothing lately. Things have just been so busy that at the end of the day I collapse on the couch and can't bring myself to do anything else. I hope you have been having a good week and got to do all that you wanted.
Today is new challenge day over at Stamp Something and this week is our monthly Digi Day Challenge. That means anything digi works for this challenge and we have lots of sponsors and great prizes up for grabs! Head on over and check it out!
My card uses an image from Digi Doodle Shop called Baby Boy. I created a laundry line with the images from the set and then colored with Copics. The papers are BG Marjolaine with some green and blue card stock. I've kept the embellishments simple as I wanted this to be all boy. I've added some twine a button, pins, brads, and a crackle paint star with sentiment and gem.
This card also fits at:
Creative Card Crew - for a child
Sisterhood of Crafters - masculine
The Paper Variety - create your own 1-2-3 recipe (1 button, 2 papers, 3 layers)
Digital Tuesday - For the Kids
Make it Monday - Anything goes
Thank you for stopping by today. I'll be back in a bit with another card as today is new digi release day over at Whimsy Stamps!
