I have created two cards to share with you today. First up is a fun card. Here I used the new stamp "Bart's BBQ" from Crissy Armstrong and the new sentiments "Summer Letter Seals" and "The Good Life Tickets" designed by Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs. I decided this is going to be a Father's Day card for my hubby from the kids. This image of super cute Bart is pretty perfect I think!

I kept this card on the more simple side since I wanted it to be masculine. I've used some My Minds Eye papers that my lovely friend Iris sent my way. I've stitched them on the sewing machine. The image was colored with copics and also stitched. I've embellished with buttons and twine and accented with the sentiments.

Next up is a creation using just a sentiment and it's an A2 card which I don't think I have made in years! This card uses a new sentiment from the set "Thank You Tiles".

I stamped the sentiment on cream card stock with chocolate colored ink and then framed it with nesties. The papers are from my local shop, but not sure of the name. I've embellished with ribbons, a hat pin, pearls, and flowers. These new mini sweet blossoms and hat pins can be found in the Whimsy shop as well.

OK, now on to my creation for the hop! I decided to make an easel card using "Tippy by the Tail" illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and "Treasured Moments Tickets" designed by Ann Vento.

I started with some MME papers from the Fine and Dandy collection. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and embellished with ribbon, buttons, twine, sticky gems, and pennants created with more designer paper and our new Shapeology Banner Pennants Die Set.

The image was colored with copics and then cut out and adhered to a dry embossed circle created with circle Nestabilities and the Swiss Dots CB folder. I also added some stickles to the gift bow, but it's not showing up great in the photo.

This is the bottom layer with the pennants. Ann has created a fab set of 3 pieces that can be matted together as I have done, or each used as separate pieces. We also have included alignment tools so you can add stamped letters, words, or images and align with the tool before cutting! The sentiment on this section is from the new "Treasured Moments Ticket" set and the dangly sentiment on the top portion comes with the "Tippy by the Tail" image stamp.

Now for a card to share too...this is one using the new Whimsy Stamp "I'd Follow You Anywhere" and I just love it! I've been afraid to color this one as I'm not great with the white polar bear coloring, but I've been visiting Crissy's blog and getting some inspiration. You MUST stop by and see her gorgeous cards, you will be happy you did!

I've used some Bo Bunny Tis the Season papers with stitching and glitter on the edges. The image was colored with copics and a white gel pen, then I added more glitter accents. I've embellished with a glitter heart cut from a die and the Big Shot, some snowflakes and gems, and ribbon. The sentiment is from Whimsy's Love Letter Seals.

Whimsy Sneak Peek - Day 1

Good Morning!

Wow, it's Thursday already! Where did this week go? Hope it's been a nice week for you. We've been busy here gearing up for the Whimsy Stamps Holiday release. Today is the start of 3 days of sneak peeks leading up to the release of brand new rubber stamps over at Whimsy Stamps. We have 9 new stamps/sets releasing on Sunday, Oct. 3rd at Noon EST and will be celebrating with a Holiday Blog Hop!  We hope you will join us for a day of fun with special guests and the Whimsy DT.

Today, I am sharing a card made using 2 of the new stamps. First is Starry Night, drawn by Crissy Armstrong, of this sweet pair of friends staring up at a starry night sky. Aren't they just adorable! And also a background stamp called Classified Ads created by Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs. I just love this new text stamp, perfect for creating your own designer paper.

I have gone for a vintage look for this card and didn't even color my image. I've stamped on chocolate and distressed inks and then distressed all the edges with scissors. I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, and eyelets.

On Tuesday, I posted a sneak peek and offered up this stamp as blog candy to the person who guessed what the image on this card was. No one had the answer exactly right, but the person with the closest guess was....

Hope you had a great weekend! This week is going to be a very busy one as Whimsy Stamps gears up for the release our first round of Holiday Rubber Stamps. We will be adding 9 new stamps/sets to our growing collections and all of these will be available to purchase on this Sunday, October 3rd. There will be a design team blog hop with lots of awesome guest designers joining us and many prize chances for you!

In honor of the release I thought it might be fun to play a little game while also giving you a sneak peek at one of the new stamps! We are going to call this game "Guess The Stamp?" And all you need to do is leave a comment with your guess as to what you think the image is on this card could possibly be. 

The first person to guess correctly will win this stamp. Now I know this is going to be a little tricky, so you don't have to guess exactly, but whoever is closest first will win.  And, I will give you a hint....

Whimsy Blog Candy

Hi All!

Happy Wednesday! Today has been crazy around here. I was hoping to get some new cards posted but just haven't had any crafting time. Once school starts up again I think things will quiet down again.

Since I didn't have any time to craft, I did a little clean up around my office/craft room. And while cleaning, I found some Whimsy sample stamp sets (that's why they are pink, but they stamp just perfect!) and some BG paper that I thought I would offer up as blog candy.

Wishes for Bella Blog Hop - Week 1

Hello All!

Today I have a special card to share for a special little girl. My card is also part of a blog hop today! I hope you will sit back and relax and take a little hop with me....

Today we are holding a blog hop in honor of Bella Tucker. Bella is a NH girl who sadly came down with a near fatal infection that has left her without her arms and legs. She is lucky to be alive as doctors didn't think she would recover from this illness. Bella has the love of her family to help her through this trying time as she learns to live a life without her limbs.

Bella and her family have a very, very difficult road ahead with many challenges as you can imagine and we would like to help in a small way by sending some cards and love from around the world to Bella. This is my card using the digital stamp Hang in There from the Crissy's Digi's collection at Whimsy Stamps. I think this image is perfect for bringing some smiles.

I've colored with Copics and some white gel pen dots, then cut the image out and popped it up on foam tape. The sketch is from Cute Card Thursday with some designer paper and card stock from SU!. I've embellished with sticky pearls, a lace doily, lots of flowers, and 2 "Happy Mail" Ticket Sentiments from Whimsy Stamps.

Hot or Spicy Recipe

Morning!

Happy Friday! This week has been crazy busy, so I am THRILLED that the weekend is almost here. It's a long weekend here in the States too as we celebrate Memorial Day. Looking forward to 3 days off! Hope you have a great weekend and some fun things planned!

Today I have 2 cards to share with you. One for Just Magnolia and the other for Stamp Something. But before I get to those, I want to announce the winner of my Stamp Something blog hop candy. Just Magnolia

Now for some cards...
Our challenge this week at Just Magnolia is Hot or Spicy. We'd like you to interpret this in your own way, but some ideas are hot colors, summery colors/images, spicy colors/images, etc. Please remember to use a Magnolia image to qualify for the blog candy prize.

I decided to go with hot and used some summery colors and papers. I love this sweet image and I thought she would be perfect in purple. So I've colored her with Copics and then added some Stickles accents. The papers are BG Koishi in pretty purples and greens with a floral design, which I think is great for a summery feel. I've used the sketch from Stamp with Fun. The edges have been punched with a SU! border punch and I've embellished with ribbon, pearls, cherry blossoms, and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

Stamp Something

And now I have my card for Stamp Something. This week we have a fun recipe challenge for you and it fits our month long birthday theme too. We'd like to see you use designer paper, ribbon, a bow, and a tag. Kind of like wrapping a present!

I got this sweet stamp from my friend Janna for my birthday and thought she would be perfect for this challenge. I was inspired by Dena's card over at Colour Create and decided to use the Colour Create challenge too. The challenge was soft green and light aqua, so pretty aren't they! And this BG Koishi paper was a perfect match for the challenge too. I've used the sketch from Lili of the Valley and embellished it a bit. I've also done some dry embossing on the white layer behind the image and on the top half of the card. I've embellished with stitched edges, sticky gems, ribbon/bow, cherry blossoms, roses and a tag sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.
