A Sketch and One for the Holidays

Good Morning All!

Hope you're having a great week. We've had a good one so far and today is ballet day with my daughter which always makes for a fun morning! All those cutie pies in pink from head to toe!

I have two cards to share with you today. One is for my GDT with Whiff of Joy Challenges and the other is for some DT work with Doodle Palace and Paper Maniac.

Whiff of Joy GDT

This is my last card as a GDT with Whiff of Joy Challenges. I want to thank everyone for having me, I've really enjoyed designing for the challenges with these sweet images.

This week's challenge is a sketch by the wonderfully talented Rach! It's a fun sketch, but I did change the oval to a circle. I don't have any Nesties for layering ovals, boo hoo. I've used these K and Company vintage papers with flowers. I also created my own patterned paper with the bluish layer and some Layers of Color stamps in flowers and hearts. I embellished with Prima roses, metal flowers, ribbon and a charm, and gel pen faux stitching.

Paper Maniac/Doodle Palace

This is my Doodle Palace/ Paper Maniac card. The image is Bearly Santa from Doodle Palace which is available now for downloading. It's been colored with Copics and then I used a bunch of fun products available from Paper Maniac to complete the card.

The paper is Imaginisce Polar Expressions which is double sided and some of the pages are complete with glitter. It's super cute and really nice quality! I've paired it with some SU! cardstock in Olive and White. I embellished with some silver brads, grosgrain ribbon, and a couple buttons. This card also fits the Christmas challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar. You can see my card ingredients and all the links to these great products at the Paper Maniac store below!

Thanks for dropping by, have a great day. Happy Stamping!

One for a Friend

Happy Tuesday!

The sun is shining and the weather is still slightly warm, hopefully it will be a nice day! I have some work to do, so I only have a couple minutes. Hope you're having a good morning.

I want to share a card that I created for someone special who is celebrating a birthday today! I have to apologize to this special someone, I don't think my card is going to make it on time. Poor planning on my part! Hopefully she'll know I was thinking of her and when my card does arrive it will make her smile.

I went right for this sweet Swiss Pixie image, which always brings a smile to my face. She's been colored with Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen and Spica glitter pen. The papers are BasicGrey Wisteria and some eggplant and lavender cardstock. The sketch is from this week's Friday Sketchers. I've added faux stitching with my gel pen, which fits the challenge at Simon Says Stamp. Lastly, I embellished with some purple Prima flowers with metal flower spacers and rhinestone brads and then some ribbons and a dragonfly charm.

I just noticed that my photo is slightly crooked, my card wasn't though! LOL! So much for photography in my future!

Have a great day and happy stamping! :)

Sweet Girls

Hello Everyone!

Hope you had a great weekend! I had hoped to get some stamping done and post a couple cards, but that never happened. But I did have fun with the family, so that's really what matters! And here we are already to the start of a new week! Hope your day is going well!

I made a card this morning for a couple challenges and for the fun of it. Erin shared some stamped images of her new Belles and Whistles stamp so I wanted to color and use it right away. These sweet girls must be sisters so I dressed them to match! :)

I used Copics to color the image and then highlighted with a white gel pen and a gold Spica glitter pen. The sketch is from this week's Sketch Saturday challenge. I've used some purplish and blue cardstock with Lemonade BasicGrey papers. I'm almost out and not sure what to do! I love these papers!

I've embellished with 3 flowers, 2 buttons and 1 ribbon to fit Cute Daisy May's recipe challenge and then I added a little dragonfly charm to fit the challenge of Cute as a Bug over at Cupcake Craft challenge. The sentiment is from SU!'s Short and Sweet set and I realized after I took the photo that the flower covers it a bit, oops!

Thanks for stopping over today. I'm leaving to run errands now, but hope to have some time later to visit all my friends out in blogland! Have a great day and happy stamping! :)

Favorite Layout and a Color Combo

Happy Friday!

Hope you've had a great week! It was another busy one here, but I'm hoping that the weekend will allow for some relaxing!

I have two cards today, one for Just Magnolia and the other for Stamp Something. Both challenges are new today and one is a color combo and the other a choice of sketches!

Our challenge for you this week is another for favorites. This week we want you to use your favorite layout or sketch on your project. It can be one you've created or one that you've seen somewhere and just really loved using.

My card uses an easy layout that can work with many different images. I chose this sweet Swiss Pixie image for my card. She's been colored with copics and highlighted with a white gel pen and Spica glitter pen.

I found an old scrap kit and used the patterned papers and some sticky die cuts for the embellishments. I've added some brads and some hard plastic flowers too. I think it's a sweet and simple card!

Our challenge at Just Magnolia this week is a color combo challenge to use pink and gray with the option to add in some black. I found some old patterned paper with a soft pink pattern on cream paper. Then added some pink and gray cardstock.

My Tilda has been colored with Copics and then I paper pieced her dress with the same patterned paper. The piecing fits the challenge at La La Land Crafts. I cut her out and then sat her on this stain ribbon. The layout is from Everybody Art Challenge. I've embellished with pink roses and some gray swirls.

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you have a great weekend! I'll be back later with the winner of my blog candy. There's still some time to enter! Happy Stamping! :)

Hello!

I think it's about time for some yummy blog candy, what do you think?! I was planning to do this around the 50,000 hit mark and then I forgot. Then last week the counters went wonky right before I was to hit the 60,000 mark. So. I've updated my counter, switched to a new one in fact. And as my thanks to you for all the drop in visits and wonderful comments, I have some blog candy!

I've been doing some craft room clean up and clean out and found two brand new stamp sets, complete with storage cases. I bought these at some point and threw them in the closet, never to been see or used! These are acrylic stamps. One is a set of animals and the other is a construction set.

All you need to do is leave a comment on this post by noon EST on Friday, September 25th. I will draw a winner at random and announce later that afternoon. If you want to mention this candy on your blog, that would be very nice, but you don't need to.

Good luck!

Whiff of Joy Recipe

Good Morning!

Hope you are all having a good week. It's been OK here, but we are dealing with sicknesses at our house. I'm hoping a good scrubbing will send the germs packing! Nothing fun about sick kids or a sick mom!

I did make some time for crafting last night and created this card for my Whiff of Joy Challenges GDT spot. This week we want to see you create a project with our recipe of 3 patterned papers, 6 brads, and 2 flowers. You also need to use a WOJ image to be eligible for any blog candy.

I used some Lemonade papers from BasicGrey and paired those with the sketch from The Pink Elephant. The plain pink paper has been stamped with Layers of Color Polka Dot Love stamps to create my own patterned paper.

I've used this sweet Henry mouse image and colored him with Copics. I also used some sparkly embossing powder to create the shimmery frosting on the cupcake. This fits BasicGrey Challenge this week to use BG products and embossing. I've embellished with 6 silver brads, 2 Prima flowers, a button, and piece of ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today, head on over to WOJ Challenges and play along with us! Happy stamping! :)

Buttons

Good Monday Morning!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm scheduling this post for today as I know I will be short on time in the morning. Hope you're Monday is off to a good start!

Today we have a new challenge over at Whimsy Challenges and it's all about buttons! We want to see you using buttons, buttons, and buttons on your creations this week. You don't need to use a Whimsy image to play along, but if you have one we'd love to see it. And if you don't have any, you may want to pop over and check out how to order this cute teddy image, it's for a great cause!

My card uses this sweet "Teddy for Paige" digital image available at Whimsy Stamps. All proceeds from the sale of this image will go directly to the Paige Welch account. If you don't remember Paige, she is a young girl who was injured in a boating accident this summer which resulted in the loss of part of her arm. Whimsy Stamps is helping to raise money to help with Paige's medical bills. If you would like to help, please visit the Whimsy Stamps website for more info! We appreciate each of you taking the time to help with this cause! Thank you!

I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday with some BasicGrey Lemonade papers. I've distressed the edges a bit. I do love doing that and it fits the challenge at Cupcake Craft! The pink papers have been stamped with hearts and swirls from the Layers of Color stamp set Polka Dot Love. I've embellished with felt flowers, prima flowers, buttons, and a couple pieces of ribbon. This card also fits the challenges at One Stop Craft of Beary Nice and Secret Crafter Saturday which is one for the girls.

Thanks for dropping on by, if you're up for a challenge hop on over to Whimsy Challenges and join in our buttons challenge. Happy stamping! :)

Pile It On and Punches

Good Sunday Morning Everyone!

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend. We took the kids apple picking yesterday. It was a perfect Fall day, crisp and cool, but still really sunny. And the apples are delicious! Hope you're doing something fun too!

I have a card to share today that I made for this week's Pile It On! Challenge! We want to see you use your punches on your creations as well as other current challenges as you pile on the challenges for your card or project!

I went with this sweet Mo Manning image and colored her with Copics. I highlighted with a gel pen and also a Spica glitter pen. The papers are retired SU! with SU! cardstock in greens and turquoise. I've used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and I used the recipe challenge of 1 image, 2 papers, and 3 embellishments from Simon Says Stamp.

I've embellished with Prima flowers, a button, a piece of a cut out from Crazed paper (Crazed is the sponsor of the PIO challenge this week), and some ribbons. I've done some faux stitching to fit the challenge at Papertake Weekly of faking it. This card also fits the flower power challenge at Charisma Cardz. My sentiment has been done with the word window punch and small oval punch from SU!. The sentiment is also from SU!.

Thanks for dropping by today, enjoy the rest of your weekend. If you're in the mood to pile on the challenges, head on over to Pile It On! Happy stamping!

A Sketch and Some Color

Happy Friday!

I'm thrilled that another week is just about over and the weekend has nearly arrived! We have a busy weekend planned too. Dinner with friends tonight which also means adults only! Yay! Love my kids, but it's nice to have some adult time without them once in a while. We are also heading to a U2 concert this Sunday night and I can not wait! Should be a great weekend! Hope you have some fun things planned too.

I have two cards to share today. One for the new Stamp Something challenge and the other for the new Just Magnolia challenge. At Just Magnolia we have a sketch for you, created by the ever talented Bev and so I've decided to use it for both cards. It's a great sketch that can flipped, rotated, etc, so very versatile!

Stamp Something

This week our Stamp Something challenge is to use your favorite color, color combo, or favorite patterned paper. I went with pink. It's funny, I love pink on my cards. I color with it all the time, dress my daughter in it all the time, but I would never wear it myself or paint my walls that color! But in crafting, I LOVE it!

I used Bev's sketch but flipped it on it's side and then paired it with some SU! patterned paper that I found while cleaning up the other day. It's a light blue with soft white butterflies on it. I dressed this card up with some paper roses in pink, lace ribbons, the Martha Stewart lace border punch, and a couple charms. This card also fits the challenges at La La Land of embellish it and at Charisma of flower power.

Just Magnolia

For this card, I went with a holiday theme and used some fun new patterned paper I bought at Paper Maniac last week. I also went for an older Magnolia that I had in my stash, which hasn't been ink in quite some time. I've embellished with felt snowflakes, Prima flowers, and buttons, I also added some organdy and gingham ribbon, and a snowflake charm to finish this one off.

This card also fits into some other challenges from this week too. First, a Simon Says Stamp which was a recipe challenge and then at PaperTake Weekly which is faking it, to use something fake or faux. I did some faux stitching with my gel pen.

Thanks for dropping by today. Be sure to head on over to both Stamp Something and Just Magnolia to see the fabulous design team samples as well as to play along with us. Both challenges have some great blog candy available too!

Happy stamping! :)

One for Halloween

Hi All!

This week is cruising on by and again I've been busy busy busy! Hope you're having a good week. Even with all the stamping I've been doing lately, I'm feeling that my mojo is on vacation. I'm not happy with anything that I've whipped up. Ever feel like that? I know we are our toughest critics too, but I'm just not sure where my mojo went!

Anyway, on to the card I made for today using a Doodle Palace Halloween image. There have been a bunch of Fall themed challenges this week so I went for a Halloween card for the Fall season.

I used some retired SU paper and some K and Company Halloween papers for this card. The sketch is from Sketch and Stash and my neglected stash are the buttons. This card also fits the Fall challenges at Digital Tuesday, A Spoon Full of Sugar and Whimsy Stamps Challenge. I used the recipe of 3 embellishments, 2 papers, and 1 image from Simon Says Stamp's challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm going to see if I can make one more card today and actually be happy with it! Hope you have a great day, happy stamping! :)

Two Cards Today

Good Morning!

Hope today is off to a good start. I'm heading out to my daughter's ballet class in a bit and then we are having a play date with friends. Should be a fun day!

I have two cards to share with you today, both for design team work. First, is my card for Paper Maniac. This week our focus was on creations using patterned paper. Paper Maniac carries a great assortment of different companies and styles of patterned paper. My card uses some from the Paper Loft in a holiday pattern and color which I paired with matching Bazzill cardstock.

I chose to work with my Whimsy Snowman and Bunny image as Paper Maniac is also a retailer of Whimsy Stamps. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Copics and highlighted with a Spica glitter pen, although it's hard to see the glitter. I've embellished with a Prima Flower, some ribbon, and a snowflake charm.

Next is my card for my guest design spot with Whiff of Joy challenges. Today we have a great sketch from Heather. There are many great layers to add to this one and places for fun embellishments too.

I used some K and Company papers and distressed all the edges. I also added some sponging and torn edges. I wanted this card to look shabby to fit the challenge at Everybody Art.

I've used this sweet kneeling Willow image that I received from a friend. She has been colored with Copics and highlighted with a gel pen and Spica glitter pen. I've done some paper piercing around the image and then added some brads. I've embellished with hodgepodge hardware, felt flowers, Prima flowers, a button, hemp twine, lace, and organdy ribbon.

Thanks for dropping over today. I hope to have some time later to drop by and visit all of you. Have a great day. Happy stamping! :)

Patchwork Fall

Hi All!

Hope you are having a great day today! I've been busily creating some different stamping projects, and I also did a little stamping for fun too. I created this card for a few challenges.

I started with the patchwork challenge at Charisma Cards. I used some Fancy Pants papers, a 1 3/8" square punch, and my paper piercing tool to create my patchwork of squares. I went for a Fall theme for the colors to fit the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar, Whimsy Stamps Challenges, and Our Creative Corner.

My image is a sweet Sarah Kay, which also reminds me of Fall. It has been colored with Copics and highlighted with a gel pen and Spica glitter pen. The embellishments for the card are a piece of stitched ribbon and some felt flowers with a button center.

Enjoy the rest of your day. See you again tomorrow! :) Happy stamping!

Fun with Fall

Good Morning!

Happy Monday to you! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Things were good here, other than the rain on Saturday which ruined the craft fair. Better luck next time, I guess! The weather has been really nice since then and hopefully we'll get a chance to be outside some today!

I have a card to share that I created for the Whimsy Challenge which is Fun Fall colors. You can use any color combination you want that reminds you of fall. I went with orange, yellow, and brown.

I'm not totally crazy about how this one turned out. Not sure the papers and colors all match great, but it is what it is! I think when you don't stamp for over 3 days you lose a bit of mojo! Hopefully I can get mine back later today. I've got quite the stamping list!

I've used the sketch from Stamp with Fun and some retired SU papers. I distressed the edges and added a couple torn areas too. I did a little cleaning the other day and organized my stuff. Boy do I have a lot of paper! I'm such the hoarder, that I forget that I even have some of this pretty stuff!

The image is Whimsy Giraffe from our animals collection. He's been colored with Copics in yellows and browns. Then I distressed the edges of the white paper and added some brown ink with a sponge. I also added some eyelets. Did you know that the Crop-a-Dile can bite! It bit me this morning, gave me a nasty pinch! Ouch!

This card also fits the challenges at Our Creative Corner which is Happy Fall Y'all and LaLa Land of distressing. Thanks for stopping on by. I'm off to find some mojo and do more stamping!

Happy stamping!

Favorite Embellishment and Embossing

Hi All!

Happy Friday to you! Hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to another weekend. I have a busy day today, I'm getting ready for a craft fair that I'm doing tomorrow. And in true fashion, I've waited until the last minute to gather up my stuff and figure things out! So this will be a rather quick post, if you can post two cards quickly! LOL

Stamp Something

Today's challenge at Stamp Something is to use your favorite embellishment(s) on your project. This should be an easy one for everyone and this week we have Quixotic Paperie back as a sponsor with a fabulous candy prize, one I wish I could win!

I've used the colors of pink and green to fit the challenges at Cute Daisy May and Cute Card Thursday this week. The papers are BasicGrey June Bug. They are a little brighter than papers I typically use, but still pretty.

I've used this image available at SCACD and she's been colored with Copics, highlighted with a white gel pen and I've added gold glitter to highlight her hair. I framed her with my scalloped rectangle Nesties, which fits the ABC challenge of D is for die cuts. Then I've embellished with my favorite silver hardware and a charm and my favorite Prima flowers. I've also added some ribbon.

Just Magnolia

The challenge at Just Magnolia today is to use embossing on your creation. I made my card, had it all done and realized when I was taking the photo that there was no embossing. So, I quickly peeled the image layer apart and did a fun cracked glass technique using some glassy glaze embossing powder and a heat tool. Viola, embossed image! For your creation you can dry or heat emboss, it's up to you!

The papers are SU! Parisian Breeze which are now retired. The sketch is from Paper Take Weekly. I was going for a vintage look so I distressed all the edges and did some faux stitching on some of the layers. I think the cracked glass is a good vintage accent too. So, sometimes mess ups can work out! I've embellished with buttons, Prima roses, felt ribbon, organdy ribbon, pearls, a hat pin with beads, and a swirl piece. All my distressing fits the challenge at La La Land crafts.

Thanks for dropping on over today. I hope you'll join in both challenges at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something this week. You can even combine these challenges! Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy stamping! :)

Digital Delights Guest Designer Spotlight

Morning to you all!

Hope your day is off to a good start. We had a busy day yesterday, but I think today will be much quieter. My daughter started dance class yesterday and loved it, so that will keep us busy one morning a week now. It's nice to have a couple fun things to do with her while my son is at school.

So, last week I was chosen as a Digital Delights Spotlight Guest Designer. It's a great honor that my card was chosen and I'm very excited to share a new card with you all that I created for today's special spotlight event. Wendy, the owner of Digital Delights, kindly sent me some digital images to play with and I chose this sweet one to make my card for today.

This is Pip and Poppet and they have been colored with Copics and highlighted with gel pen accents and some glitter accents as well. The papers are K and Company. I used the sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar and created my own paper flowers using this AWESOME tutorial by Rach. As an added embellishment I doodled on some gel pen dots, I think it adds a little pop.

Thanks for coming on by today. You should definitely pop on over to Wendy's Digital Delights shop, she's got some fabulous digital images available! A BIG thanks to Wendy for having me as a guest designer!

And if you like digital images and a good cause, head over to Whimsy Stamps and purchase "A Teddy for Paige" our latest digital image with proceeds to benefit Paige Welch.

Happy stamping! :)

Paper Maniac DT and Whiff of Joy Challenge GDT

Hi All, happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well. Things are still quite busy here, but hopefully after I get into the swing of a new routine things will quiet down. Today I have two cards to share.

Whiff of Joy Challenges

First is my Whiff of Joy challenges GDT card. This week the challenge is a color challenge to use orange and teal and of course a Whiff of Joy image on your creation.

I chose to use this sweet Angel image and colored her with Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen and glitter pen. The papers are some I found in my stash, retired ones from SU!. I used my circle Nesties to frame the image and added some ribbon and Prima flowers with silver hardware and buttons to embellish.

This card also fits the challenges at Kaboodle Doodles of charmed creations and Creative Card Crew's Fairy Nice Day theme.

Paper Maniac

This card is for Paper Maniac DT work. This week our focus is on using ribbons. I grabbed this pretty ribbon from my Paper Maniac goodies and paired it with this Unity flower stamp set. I've added some embossing which I did with my CB and embossing folder and I've sponged some ink on the edges and to the image. The papers are BasicGrey Offbeat with SU! cardstock. I used StazOn ink and SU! ink on the image. The sentiment is from the same Unity stamp set as the flower.

Don't forget you still have time to enter the Paper Maniac challenge which is to use embossing on your project.

Thanks for dropping on by today. I hope to have some time very soon to drop by and visit all of you. Have a great day, happy stamping! :)

Doodle Palace DT - New Release

Morning!

Hope everyone is off to a great start this week. I have a to do list a mile long, but school is back this week and hopefully that will mean my list will shrink pretty quickly!

I have a card to share with you today that I made for my DT work with Doodle Palace. It uses a new image, which will be released this week.

This cute puppy with a fire hose is one of the new images in honor of 9/11 which is this Friday. I've colored the image with Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen and a Spica glitter pen. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday and the papers are BasicGrey Offbeat, which fit the Polka Dot Party challenge at My Time to Craft. I used the colors red, white, and blue to fit the challenge at Cupcake Craft.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great day! Happy Stamping! :)

A Teddy For Paige

Good Monday Morning!

Hope you are all having a great Monday! It's a long weekend here in the States, so we are enjoying some family visits and fun at home. Everything is back to normal tomorrow though with school and work.

I have a special card to share today. One I made a for a special cause and a couple challenges too. This card uses a brand new Whimsy Stamps digital image, called a Teddy for Paige. We are very excited to release this digital stamp as all the proceeds from the sale of this image will benefit Paige Welch, Erin's neighbor who was seriously injured in a boating accident this summer. To read more about Paige's story, click HERE. We hope you will help us in our efforts by purchasing this new digital image and using it to make a card for Paige!

I used the sketch from Sketch and Stash along with some older papers. I used red and brown cardstock to work with the colors of my image. The images was colored using Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen. Today's challenge at Whimsy Challenges is to use sewing, faux or real, on your card. I used my paper piercer and a gel pen and marker to create my faux stitching. Then I embellished with some circle buttons and brads to fit the C is for Circles challenge at ABC Challenge.

Thanks for dropping on by today. To read more about our cause to help Paige, visit the Whimsy Stamps home page or Erin's blog. Thanks! Happy stamping! :)

Birthdays with Pile It On

Happy Sunday All!

Hope you are having a great weekend. Today being Sunday, means another new challenge at Pile It On! Challenges. This week we want to see your pile on the challenges with our theme of Birthdays. Shouldn't be too tough for you! The design team has used images from our sponsor, who is Timbo Hunter/Hambo Stamps. There's a fun prize for one lucky winner and a chance at this week's Top 3 Scoops!

I started with this cute turtle pyramid image, to fit the Birthday theme at Pile It On. I've colored them with Copics and highlighted with a gold glitter pen, but it's hard to see in the photo. The layout is from this week's Simon Says Challenge, which was a sketch to honor Heidi's birthday. I did switch the oval to a circle for my card, hope that's OK. I also fit this to the challenge at The Pink Elephant of 1 ribbon, 2 squares and something that sparkles. I added more gold glitter to the sentiment.

I've embossed the olive layer of cardstock with my CB and bubbles embossing folder. This fits the challenge at Paper Maniac Challenges. I also used this fun sentiment, created by Raindrop Echo Designs, it's available for download at Paper Maniac. I added some Prima flowers and buttons. The papers are BasicGrey Off Beat and some different pinks and greens for the cardstock. These colors are some of my favorites to combine, which also fits the challenge at Copic Creations.

So, I think that's it, all my challenges piled on up! If you're up for a challenge head on over to Pile It On! and join in the fun!

Enjoy what's left of this holiday weekend! Happy Stamping! :)

Layers of Color Saturday - Fleur Heart

Hello All!

Happy weekend! It's a holiday weekend here in the States and so the kids and hubby will be home for three days. It'll be nice to have some relaxing family time after this hectic first week back to school. Hope you all have something fun planned!

I have a quick card to share today, one I made using some Layers of Color stamps. I pulled out my Fleur Heart set and used some of the images to create a background.

I paired the scroll heart design with a french script background to create this old world/vintage card. I used a printed transparency from my friend Vicki as the main image. I just mounted it on some cardstock to make the images more visible. I've embellished with pewter hardware, a bead, some Prima flowers and buttons, and some twill tape and hemp twine. The sentiment has been framed using some oval EK Success punches.

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you have a great weekend! Happy stamping. :)

A Magnolia Day

Happy Friday All!

I am so happy that we are at the end of the week! Phewww! It's been super busy here and I'm so looking forward to the weekend and a little break! Hope you have some fun stuff planned. It's a long weekend here in the US and that makes it extra special.

Just Magnolia

I have my cards for Just Magnolia and Stamp Something to share with you today. First, is my card for Just Magnolia along with some super duper exciting news! Bev and the girls have asked me stay on the JM design team as a permanent designer. I of course said YES! I've so very much enjoyed my time with the team and was not looking forward to it's ending so I'm just over the moon to be able to keep designing with my cutie pie Magnolias and these wonderful ladies! Thanks for having me girls!

The challenge this week is a sketch by the very talented Mina! It's an easy sketch to work with, I can see it working for plenty of images and I know it's one I will use again!

I used this Sweetheart Tilda with some Fancy Pants papers. I was trying to achieve a country look, what do you think? I used some faux stitching which I created with a paper piercer and white gel pen and then added brads, ribbon, chipboard, and a felt flower to embellish this one. The image was colored with Copics and highlighted with a gel pen and glitter pen. I'm running out of ink in my flesh tone Copics and no one seems to have the refills in stock. Yikes!

Stamp Something

The challenge at Stamp Something this week is Favorite Stamp or Stamp Set. I know, you're thinking oh that's easy, but really this one was tough for me. I have way too many fabulous stamps to ever have a real favorite. So I've made it a Magnolia day and chosen these sweet Tilda with Hearts.

I also have a plan to send this card to the little girl Paige, who Erin recently posted about on her blog. If you haven't read Erin's post or the one I made yesterday, Paige was seriously injured in a boating accident and has lost part of her arm. It's all very sad. Erin is organizing a card drive to help bring some cheer to Paige's recovery.

I think this card is girly and sweet and hopefully will brighten Paige's day. I've colored with Copics, but I think this sweet Tilda is a tad more tan than that of the Tilda in my card above! I really need those inks! I've also highlighted with a gel pen and glitter pen. The sketch is from Truly Scrumptious. I've used BasicGrey papers and some blue, purplish, and pink cardstock. Then embellished with ribbon, Prima flowers, and buttons.

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you'll join us this week at both Just Magnolia and Stamp Something, maybe you can even combine the challenges to work for both! Have a super weekend. Happy stamping! :)

No Card Today

Hi All!

Hope you are having a good week. Things have been a bit on the busy side at our house. School started this week and we've had tons of errands to run and even more for the weekend! Unfortunately, that meant no time for making a card to post today. :(

But, I do have a couple bits of news that I wanted to help spread the word about for a couple friends of mine.

First, and this is a bit of sad news, my good friend Erin has posted a blog candy chance on her blog for those generous stampers out there who are willing to help with a special project. Erin's neighbor's 13 year old daughter was seriously injured in a boating accident while on vacation and has very sadly lost her arm. Erin is trying to collect some well wishes and thoughts and prayers for this little girl, named Paige, in hopes of brightening her day. She will have a long road of recovery ahead of her and Erin thought that having some words of encouragement and kindness would help keep her spirits high.

If you would like to help, please visit this LINK and take part in Erin's card drive. Erin has posted a link the article about Paige and her horrific accident as well as information if anyone out there would like to make a donation on this child's behalf. Thank you for helping!

Saturday Spotlight

Also, in a some brighter news, I wanted to share information about the start of a new challenge blog. My friend and fellow stamper, Vicki Parson, is starting up a challenge blog the first Saturday in October! If you know Vicki, you know it will be fabulous! The challenge site is Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential and there you will find fun ideas and different ways of using your crafting supplies. Vicki is a super talented crafter and always has awesome and clever ways of using her craft goodies! I'm excited that she's going to share her wisdom with us! :)

If you help spread the word about Saturday Spotlight, you too can be eligible for some fantastic blog candy! And I know how much we all love a good challenge, so why not help spread the word around blogland.

Thanks for reading my post today, I hope you have a great Thursday. I'll be back tomorrow with some cards! Happy Stamping!

Whiff of Joy GDT - A Sketch

Good Morning Everyone!

If you're like me, you've just dropped little ones off at school and are just now getting to your duties for the day. I meant to have this post scheduled but last night was a busy one. My little boy just started the First Grade today, it was an exciting, but sad morning too. This summer went by way too fast and now we just miss him! Here's hoping for a quick day!

Today my card is for the challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenges where for the month of September I'm going to be a guest designer. I am very excited about this! I so enjoy using my WOJ stamps and I love a good challenge, so it's a perfect combination. Plus, all the WOJ DT members are just super talented so to be able to work with them is a great honor!

The challenge today is a sketch created by the ever talented Bev Rochester. It is one that I know I will use again too. Here is the sketch to follow and remember you also need to also use a Whiff of Joy image.

For my card I used this sweet shy Willow image and colored her with Copics and highlighted with a gel pen and glitter pen. The papers are K and Company with natural tone cardstock. I've distressed all the edges, which I really LOVE to do! The distressing also fits the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar this week.

I've embellished this card with a Martha Stewart lace border punch, some organdy and gingham ribbons, brads, Prima flowers and roses, metal hardware, and a strawberry charm. The sentiment is also WOJ and has been framed with my EK Success oval punches.

Thanks for popping on by today. I hope you have a great day. I'm off to keep busy hoping for the time to just fly on by so I can go pick my baby boy up from school! Happy stamping! :)

Whimsy and Creative Card Crew

Hi All!

I'm back again! Hope you're having a great day! It's been another busy one for me, lots going on here and for design work this week!

The card I want to share with you now is for a couple of challenges which are sponsored by Whimsy Stamps. Our challenge at Whimsy Challenges this week is "Touchy Feely," we want to see some texture on your creations. And Whimsy is sponsoring the challenge at Creative Card Crew which is a color challenge of black, white, and pink.

For my card I went with Whimsy Skunk for the image and colored him with Copics and added some white fun flock to his tail for some texture. I also added some flower soft around him for even more texture. The layout for this card is from Friday Sketchers and I used some BasicGrey Two Scoops paper with SU! black, white, and Pink Pirouette. I've embossed the white piece with the paisley CB folder and then sponged on some ink. I embellished with some eyelets, ribbons, a pink bead, Prima flowers, and some hodgepodge hardware. The sentiment is a retired SU! set. This fits the thank you challenge at Cute Daisy May also.

I have a little sneak peek to share with you today too! Right now, until September 15th you can PRE-ORDER this fun Whimsy Pet Collection Bundle! Each PRE-ORDER comes with 3 image stamps and 1 coordinating sentiment set. Each stamp is individually packaged with the cling foam attached and laminate cards for storage. They are only available together as a set during this PRE-ORDER period. And, right now we are also having an End of Summer SALE and you can use the coupon code SUMMER25 to save 25% on everything in the store, including this PRE-ORDER bundle!

Please note that PRE-ORDER items will ship in early October, separately from any other items. The End of Summer SALE ends on Monday, September 6th and the PRE-ORDER ends on Tuesday, September 15th! These Whimsy Pet Collection stamps will be available to order individually in early October.

Thanks for stopping by today. Head on over to Whimsy Challenges and Creative Card Crew and join in the fun challenges this week! Happy Stamping!
