Hi All!
Hope you all had a marvelous holiday with your families! We had a great Christmas here and Santa was very good to all of us! I've also been taking a much need break to enjoy some family time. Today I need to clean up the house and put away all the new goodies!
I have a quick card to share before I get to my chores. I made this one before Christmas, but never had the chance to post it. I used this sweet Sugar Nellie stamp that my dear friend Vicki sent me. Aren't they so cute! Thank you Vicki!
I know this sketch was from a challenge, but at the moment I can't remember which one! The papers are My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow with some pink and curry card stock. I've embellished with a Prima flower, ribbon, buttons, and faux stitching.
Thanks for dropping by today. I'm going to try to squeeze in some crafting time this week, but I won't be back to my normal daily posting until after the new year. Hope you all have a wonderful week!
Happy Stamping! :)

A Purr-fect Gift
Hi All!
How's your week going? Are you ready for the Christmas holiday? I'm not quite there yet, but hopefully by the end of the day tomorrow we will be ready. I have just a few more things on my shopping list and then of course there's the food shopping to do too! Never a dull moment around here! LOL!
I just wanted to quickly share a card I created today using the Whimsy Stamps stamp Purr-fect Gift from the Crissy Armstrong Collection. I really just love this image. It's a quick and easy one to color and it's purr-fect for paper piecing too.
I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and some Eskimo Kisses BasicGrey papers which also fit the challenge at BasicGrey Challenges of pink, cream, and blue. I've embellished with sticky pearls and some Prima flowers.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Cupcake Craft: A Celebration - the holiday season is a celebration for us!
Creative Card Crew: Anything Goes
Thanks for dropping on by. Please forgive me if I don't get around to visiting you this week. I do promise to be back to blogging next week after the Christmas Festivities.
Have a great day! Be sure to stop by Sharon's blog today to enter for your chance at the Whimsy Advent Prize. Happy Stamping!

Quick and Easy Holiday Tags
Happy Monday All!
Hope you had a nice weekend! We got a bit more snow, but not nearly as much as some places did this weekend. I also got a bit more shopping done, however I still have more! So please forgive the quick post today, I have a huge to do list and only 4 days left to get it done!
Today is my day to share some Whimsy inspiration with you for our Whimsy Advent Event. Our guest designer Janna has a candy chance on her blog today and all you have to do to enter, is visit and leave her a message. She will draw one random winner tomorrow!
I created with very quick and very easy holiday tag to share today! I have a few gifts that need to be wrapped today and so I thought I'd add some festive handmade tags to the packages. For this one, I used the stamp N'ice Friends from the Crissy Armstrong Collection. I colored him and then framed him using oval Nestabilities and some My Minds Eye papers. I punched a hole and added an eyelet and some ribbon and there you go a holiday gift tag!
This is a great project to use all those fun Nestabilities on too! And I only used scrap paper to make mine, so that helped to clean up my workspace too. Now I just have to make about a dozen more and I'll be done! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a great Monday! Whimsy Stamp is currently holding a guest designer call for two GDTs in February and March of 2010. If you are interested in applying, check out the details HERE.

Happy Holidays
Good Morning!
It's finally Friday! Thank goodness because this week really just needs to be over! I have lots to do this weekend to get ready for Christmas, but it should be a fun weekend. Just what I need too! Hope you have a great weekend too!
Today I have my typical two card Friday post to share! My first card is for our challenge at Just Magnolia. This week we have a sketch from our very talented Mina. This challenge will also be the last one for 2009! We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and we'll be back in the new year with lots of new challenges and Magnolia creations to share!
For this card I was going for a vintage/distressed look with lots of pretty texture and embellishments. I used some BasicGrey Wassail papers and took my scissors to the edges. The image was colored with Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen. I also added white gel pen doodles to create some faux stitching. I finished this card off with some ribbon and a charm and beads, Prima flowers and roses sprayed with glimmer mist and a couple of chipboard hearts.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Pile It On!: Chip Chip - to use chipboard
Roses on Paper: Cranberry, Hunter Green and/or Gold
My next card is for the last challenge of 2009 at Stamp Something. We are sharing our holiday somethings this week and we like to see yours too! The challenge is simple, anything holiday will do! You will have two weeks to enter and we'll be back in 2010 with a new team too!
This week we have a new sponsor Digital Ink Co. My hubby and I have been working with Digital Ink for a few months now creating some digital images, we design under the name Whimsy Design Studio. Digital Ink is a wonderful shop for all things digital! They have a huge variety of digital stamps and some digital scraps as well! They donated some images and a gift certificate as blog candy for this challenge. So be sure to stop by Stamp Something and check out this challenge and the DT samples.
My card uses one of my hubby's creations, Holiday Wreath. I've colored it with Copics and then added some Spica Glitter pen accents. The papers are My Minds Eye with red and green card stock from SU!. I finished with some sticky pearls, ribbon, and a piece of hemp twine tied and adorned with pearls.
Thanks for stopping over today. I hope you have a great day and a wonderful weekend. Happy stamping! :)

So There!
Hi All and Happy Thursday!
I'm hoping that today will go a bit more smoothly than yesterday did. It was really just one of those days. I couldn't get out of my own way and all these little things kept popping up to keep things from going the way they should have! But, I hope you had a good day and are looking forward to today.
I have a card to share that I made last night as a way to relax and unwind. I used a new stamp too that I got for myself as a little treat. This is Lilith from the Moonlight Whispers Collection at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I just love her "so there" facial expression! She reminds of my daughter when she doesn't want to clean up her toys!
I've gone with the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches, this is ICS #47. I used some BasicGrey Eva papers and razzleberry and olive card stock from SU!. I've distressed all the edges of the papers. I really enjoy the way this looks and it's a great way to get out some frustration too! LOL! I've embellished with Prima flowers and roses that were sprayed with glimmer mist, love the twinkle that stuff creates. Too bad the photo doesn't show it that well. I also added some sticky pearls to the corners.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Creative Card Crew: Anything Goes
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge: Sparkle Baby
Charisma Cardz: Anything but Christmas
Thanks for dropping on by today! Hope you have a great day. Be sure to check out the Whimsy Stamps GDT call and all the fun happens including our Advent Event! See you tomorrow! Happy Stamping!

Some White French Hens
Happy Tuesday!
Hope you are having a good day today! I have another busy day with errands and chores around the house to finish. But before I get to all of that, I do have a card to share with you.
Yesterday was the 3rd day of Christmas celebration over at Cuttlebug Challenges and Layers of Color is sponsoring with a donation of 3 of their Rise and Shine art stamp sets! To enter to win a free stamp set all you need to do is visit Layers of Color and sign up for their newsletter and follow their blog to stay up to date on the lasted information. Then hop back over to Cuttlebug Challenges and leave them a comment saying that you have done these two things and you are entered. Pretty easy!
I've created this white on white version of 3 French Hens using the Rise and Shine stamp set and my Cuttlebug and snowflake embossing folder.
I've distressed the edges of all the layers so that it makes the white on white easier to see and I like the texture too. The layers have been embossed and then sprayed with glimmer mist. I created faux snow under the chicks with glitter and glue. Then embellished with ribbons, acetate and glitter snowflakes, and rhinestone and pearl sticky gems.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Sketch Saturday: sketch/layout
Stamptacular Sunday: No red or Green Holiday cards
The Pink Elephant: Winter/Christmas
Kaboodle Doodles: Sparkling Winter
Secret Crafter: Snow
Thanks for popping on by today! If you get a minute, please check out the Cuttlebug Challenge and visit Layers of Color! Have a great day, happy stamping! :)

Advent Candy now CLOSED
Happy Saturday!Welcome to day 12 of the Whimsy Advent Event! I have a little winter inspiration to share with you and a treat chance for you too!
This is my winter walrus card using Whimsy Walrus. He's an older stamp from the Whimsy Animals Collection and I love his gruff looking face! Big ole grumpy guy! He's been colored with Copics and then accented with some faux snow which I created with glitter and glue. I've used some retired SU! papers and blue and green card stock. Then embellished with some satin ribbon, sticky gems, and felt snowflakes.

Winter Wonderland Christmas
Happy Friday All!
Hope you are having a great day so far...only a few more hours and the weekend will be here! I have loads of holiday shopping left to do, so I know what I'll be doing this weekend. LOL! Hope you have some fun stuff planned.
Today I have two cards to share, one for Just Magnolia and the other for Stamp Something. Luckily, our challenges this week fit into my Christmas card list planning so I was able to get two more done and added to the pile! I think I'm just about done now too. It will be nice to cross that off the to-do list.
First, my Just Magnolia card. This week our challenge is very easy...just make a Christmas card using a Magnolia image and you can enter! Easy Peasy!
I've gone with a non-traditional color combination for this card and used some BasicGrey Eskimo Kisses papers with SU! razzleberry, white, and pink card stock. I embossed the white layer with the snowflake folder and CB. I've embellished with Prima flowers, rhinestone gems, acetate/glitter snowflakes, pink pearls, ribbon, and a snowflake charm.
This card also fits the challenge at:
The Pink Elephant: Favorite Christmas Color Combo
Next, I have my Stamp Something card using an image from In Style Stamps, our sponsor for this week. I've never used an anime image, but I really like this one! She's really cute and I love her eyes.
I've gone for a monochromatic look using some baja breeze and soft sky papers with this retired snowflake print SU! designer paper. I've distressed the edges and embossed the white layer again with the snowflake folder and CB. I've embellished this card with felt snowflakes, spacer beads, rhinestone gems, ribbon, blue pearls, and glitter. The sentiment is "Let it Snow" from Whimsy Stamps.
This card also fits the challenges at:
A Spoon Full of Sugar: monochrome
Cupcake Craft: Christmas carols on your card - Let it Snow
Simon Says Stamp: let it snow
Thanks for coming by for a visit today. Be sure to check out the fabulous samples from my fellow design team members at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'll be back tomorrow for my day of inspiration and the Advent treat for Whimsy Stamps, hope you'll join me! Happy stamping! :)

A Holiday Tilda
Happy Thursday!
Another Friday almost here! I had some free time today between loads of laundry so I did some crafting just for fun. Hope you have some time to do something for fun today too.
This card uses Sitting Tilda, but I made her work for a holiday themed card. I'm still working on finishing up my Christmas card list and this one will be added to the pile too.
I've used the sketch from Lili of the Valley with some BasicGrey Wassail papers in holiday reds and greens. I also distressed the edges of my papers for a vintage feel. I've embellished with organdy ribbon, hemp twine, beads and a charm and also some silver brads, red pearls, and Prima flowers which were sprayed with glimmer mist.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Everybody Art Challenge - red and green
Charisma Cardz: red, green, and white
Cute Card Thursday: Sew Beady
Magnolia Down Under: Bedazzled
Thanks for dropping by today. I'm off to do some Christmas shopping this afternoon and to get the kids some winter boots! Be sure to visit my Whimsy DT members to see who has today's Advent treat! Have a great afternoon. Happy stamping! :)

Merry Moose-Mas
Hi There,
I'm back again! I'm having some fun in my craft room today, so I thought I'd share another card with you. This one uses a Squigglefly image that I bought a while ago and almost forgot I had!
I used the sketch from this week's ICS challenge, this is #46. I paired that sketch with some My Minds Eye papers and SU! card stock in pink and green. The My Minds Eye papers are already glittered, which is perfect for holiday cards! I've colored the image with Copics and added some sparkle with Spica glitter pens. The photo doesn't show all the glitter that well. I've embellished with buttons and ribbon and felt snowflakes. I also added some gel pen doodles.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Cute Daisy May: Twinkle Twinkle
Color Throwdown: green, blue, red, and pink
Thanks for dropping by again! Hope you have a great day. Happy stamping! :)

Christmas with Doodle Palace
Good Morning!
It's a snowy day here in New Hampshire and the kids are home from school! Everything is so pretty, but boy is it COLD outside! Hope you are having a good day!
I have a card to share that I made for Doodle Palace DT work. This one is to add to my Christmas card list. Doodle Palace has some cute images for winter and the holiday season, you should check them out. There is a new release this week too, but I decided to use an older image for this card.
I've used the sketch from Stamp with Fun and some My Minds Eye papers. The image was colored with Copics and then I embellished with some satin ribbon and a bow and some buttons. Since the papers already have glitter in them, I kept my embellishments simple.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Everybody Art Challenge: red and green
My Time to Craft: Christmas Foliage
Crafty Creations: Christmas for Pets
Thanks for dropping by today. I'm hoping to be back later with another card...I think with the snow day, I just might have to squeeze in some more crafting time! Have a great day, happy stamping! :)

Altered Holiday Frame
Good Morning,
Hope you're having a good day today. I've got my son off to school and my daughter watching a movie so I'm hoping to get some chores done and then get some crafting in. I need to finish up my Christmas cards and get them in the mail.
Before I get to that though, I do have a project to share with you that I created for some Paper Maniac DT work and a challenge. I had an old wooden frame, something that I got at the dollar store or IKEA and thought it would make for a fun altered holiday gift.
For the frame, I used some BasicGrey Wassail holiday papers, mainly scraps actually. I glued them to the frame with adhesive tape and then softened the edges with a sanding block. I embellished the frame with sticky gems and a felt snowflake and an acetate and glitter snowflake that I made using a punch. To make the snowflake, just punch out some acetate snowflakes with a snowflake punch or die and then cover with glue and glitter. Let it dry, spray it with glimmer mist for more sparkle and viola...pretty snowflake!
I am loving these sweet Belles 'n Whistles stamps and my friend Erin was kind enough to share some images with me. And since they are mostly holiday themed, I'm using them up before it's too late. I've colored both the Christmas tree and these sweet little girls with Copics and highlighted with a Spica glitter pen. I cut them out and then glued them to my altered frame.
I decided to frame a Christmas poem rather than a photo, but you could frame anything you wanted. I copied this poem from the web and printed it on card stock and then distressed the edges and sprayed the paper with glimmer mist. I think it makes for a cute holiday gift or I may just keep it as a decoration. This altered frame also fits the challenge at Roses on Paper!
Thanks for dropping by today. Don't forget to pay my fellow Whimsy designers a visit today and enter into today's Advent candy draw! I'll give you a hint...be sure to visit Sharon!

Very Merry Sunday
Hi All!
Hope you're having a nice weekend. We got our first snow of the season yesterday so now everything is a pretty, fluffy, and white. It looks beautiful, but brrrr it's cold outside!
I was bored this afternoon while hubby was watching football so I decided to do a little crafting. This is the card I came up with using this sweet Belles 'n Whistles image. Erin is a guest DT this month and she kindly shared some images with me.
I've used some BG Eskimo Kisses papers and the sketch from BasicGrey Challenges. I also distressed my papers with the blade of a pair of scissors. I think it adds some nice texture. I colored the image with Copics and highlighted with white gel pen and glitter pen accents. I've embellished with organdy lace ribbon, rhinestone gems and brads, some prima roses and a flower with paper leaves. I also added glimmer mist to the flowers. The sentiment is from SU!'s short and sweet set.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Saturday Spotlight: Christmas Flowers
Crafty Creations: lace and distressing
Thanks for dropping by today! See you back here tomorrow. Be sure to stop by Janna's blog for a chance at today's Whimsy Advent Candy treat. Happy stamping! :)

Glitzy Christmas Cards
Happy Friday!
Hope everyone had a great week. I can't believe we are another week closer to Christmas and I still have yet to shop! I'm hoping to get something done this weekend, fingers crossed my plan will work out. Hope you have some fun things planned too.
Today I have two cards to share with you. One for the new challenge at Stamp Something and the other for the new challenge at Just Magnolia. I've made two Christmas cards to add to my ever growing collection. At least I'll be ready to send out cards soon, even if my shopping isn't done!
First, I'll share my card for Stamp Something. Our challenge this week is "Glitzy Somethings." We want to see lots and lots of sparkle, shimmer, and shine! This is the perfect time of year to bling up those creations too! Our sponsor this week is Paper Maniac and there is a fab prize up for grabs!
I've used this sweet Holly the Christmas Fairy image from Mo's Digital Pencil. She's been colored with Copics and then I added lots of glitter accents with a Spica glitter pen. I've used some My Mind's Eye Wonderful Winter papers that have glitter already on them with some red and ivory Stampin' Up! card stock. I've embellished with rhinestone brads, satin ribbon, flowers, vellum snowflakes, roses and glimmer mist.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Mo's Digital Pencil - Christmas Card using traditional colors
Cute Card Thursday - Swirly Girly
Digital Tuesday - Christmas Sparkle
The Pink Elephant - Favorite Coloring Medium
Pile It On! - Flowers and Fourishes
My next card is another holiday card with more glitz and bling and this sweet Tilda image. Our challenge at Just Magnolia this week is to make a card/project for a special person, this week is also our special monthly challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. I won't say who my card is for as I don't want to spoil the surprise!
I've created an easel card for this project. I am loving these card styles, not only are they super easy to make, but they really create a nice way to display a card. I've colored my image with Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen. The papers are SU! from a retired pack of designer prints. I've distressed all the edges. The white layers have been embossed with a snowflake folder and CB then I sprayed them with glimmer mist. I am loving this stuff!
I've embellished with felt snowflakes and some acetate and glitter snowflakes that I made with a punch and some glitter. I also added some doodles and sticky pearls, ribbon, and a snowflake charm!
This card also fits the challenges at:
Simon Says Stamp - So Charming
Magnolia Down Under - Christmas Card
Thanks for dropping by today. Be sure to stop by Stamp Something and Just Magnolia and join in the challenges and check out the beautiful creations by my fellow design team members. Have a wonderful weekend. Happy stamping! :)

3 French Hens
Hello All!
Happy Thursday to you! This week is just flying on by, probably because I have yet to do a stitch of holiday shopping and my days are dwindling down! Hope you are having a good week.
Today I have a card to share for a Layers of Color DT project and some challenges. I created my card using the sweet little chick stamps from the set Rise and Shine. They are my 3 French Hens! My chicks were colored with copics and then I created some snow underneath them with glue and glitter.
I've created a holiday card with some non-traditional holiday colors to fit the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar. I used some SU! Night of Navy and Black card stock with papers from Graphic 45. My layout is from this week's ICS#45 at Inspirational Card Sketches. I embellished with with some black sticky gems, lace ribbon, and a Prima flower with a rose center which I sprayed with some Glimmer Mist to add shimmer.
Thanks for dropping by today! Don't forget to check out Whimsy Stamps for a link to today's special blog where you can find today's Advent prize! Happy stamping! :)

December Advent Event Kick Off
Happy December!!
Today is the start of our December Advent Event at Whimsy Stamps! We are pleased to bring you daily inspiration from our design team members as well as a chance to win a prize a day!
Today I have some inspiration in the form of an Advent Calendar! I thought this was a perfect way to kick off the event at Whimsy as well as a way to create a fun holiday decor item for my kids to enjoy this month!
I used 24 match boxes and covered them with Eskimo Kisses designer paper from BasicGrey available at Paper Maniac. Each drawer front was painted with some acrylic paint and then I used brads and spacers for the drawer pulls. The numbers were hand written and spaced out around the whole calendar to give my kids the fun of hunting for the correct day! The top and bottom are pieces of chipboard covered with matching papers.
I've embellished the top with this sweet Very Present Helpers image from our Crissy Armstrong Collection. I colored with Copics and paper pieced the present box with more matching paper. I embellished with some felt snowflakes and rhinestone gems.
Be sure to visit design team members Stacey and Sharon to see their Whimsy inspiration today too! And, our Whimsy candy prize is on Stacey's blog today...so be sure to visit her for a chance to win!
This project also fits the challenge at Creative Card Crew of Christmas, which Whimsy is actually sponsoring this week! Head on over there and see what you could win if you play along.
Thanks for dropping by today, have a great Tuesday! Be sure to check the Whimsy Home Page each day during the next 24 days for your chance to win some Whimsy candy!
Happy stamping! :)
