Hi All!
Hope you're having a nice week, it's already half over! It's been rainy here all week, but it's suppose to get better later today. I'd just like to see the sunshine again! I did notice that the buds are starting to show on the trees, so the rain is good for something at least.
I made a card for some challenges using a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps image that Ann shared with me. I love this Bird Fairy image, it's one of Crissy Armstrong's designs, and I just think she's so beautiful....I particularly love her long flowing hair and those gorgeous wings.
I've colored the image with Copics in pinks and greens and golden yellows for her hair. I added some stickles to her wings to give them some shimmer. The paper are BG Lily Kate and the edges have been distressed with a pair of scissors. I've embellished with sticky gems, ribbon tabs, and flowers. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.
This card fits the challenges at:
Sketch and Stash: Sketch and sticky gem stash
The Pink Elephant: Pastel Colors
Secret Crafter: Pink and Green with Flowers
Everybody Art Challenge: Spring
Thanks for stopping over for a visit today. I hope you have a great day filled with lots of sunshine and craft time!

Treat Box
Happy Tuesday!
Still a rainy yucky week here, but it's suppose to be all worth it later in the week when it hits 70 degrees! Here's hoping! And maybe all the rain will help green up the grass and force the buds on the trees. I hope it's nice and sunny where ever you are today.
I have a special project to share with you today. The card on top is actually one I've shown you already, that I made for a Just Magnolia challenge a couple weeks ago. I put the card aside knowing just what I wanted to do with it. And today I have the finished project to share with you.
I created this sweet little treat box with drawers filled with candy for my darling niece Olivia. She loves to get mail and so I'm hoping this will arrive to her in one piece and that the draws of candy will be a nice little surprise for her.
I created the box and drawers with the instructions found here on Kirsten's Blogg. I used some cardboard from a mailing box for the top and bottom of the box. I've covered them with with 6 x 6 brown textured card stock. I made the drawers with more brown card stock and then decorated them with blush card stock and designer paper. The drawer pulls are pearl brads and then the other panels have been embellished with flowers to match the ones on the cards. When I had the box finished, I filled the drawers with candy and then adhered the easel card to the top.
This project also fits the challenge at:
Cupcake Craft: Easter with Chocolate
If you have time to make one of these treat boxes, you really should! So fun and easy and makes a really nice little gift. Wish I could see the look on Livvy's face when she gets it, but she's in New York...Happy Easter Livvy!
Hope you have a great day! I'm off to run errands and clean the house up a bit. Hope to see you again tomorrow!

Rainy Days and Mondays
Hello All!
Hope you're week is off to a good start. It's a soggy Monday here, which is fitting as I'm still suffering with this head cold. Fortunately, I do feel much better than I did yesterday, good enough to want to craft even. Hoping by the end of the week the cold will be gone and the sun will be shining!
I have a quick card to share with you that I did for a few challenges. I've used my Whimsy Frog stamp for this card, he's an oldie but goodie! I just love his smiling face!
I've colored him with Copics and then added some stickles and crystal effects to make the water around him. I've framed him with a set of labels Nestabilities and added some ribbon to tie the framing to the card. The papers are BasicGrey Lime Rickey with green card stock in a dark and light shade. I embellished with some buttons, ribbons, and flowers.
This card fits the challenges at:
Stamp with Fun: Sketch
Cute Daisy May: For the Boys
Pile It On!: Animal-Riffic!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great Monday afternoon.

A Sketch and Some Doodles
Happy Friday!
I can not tell you how happy that makes me! This has been a long, rough week. The kids are sick and now I am too, but at this point I don't even care. We made it to the weekend and I'm going to enjoy it. I hope you have something fun in your plans too!
I have my two card post Friday, one for Stamp Something and one the other for Just Magnolia. This week our Stamp Something challenge is sponsored by our monthly sponsor Simon Says Stamp and we've kept the challenge theme very simple, so no excuses, everyone can join this one! We want to see you "Doodle Something" on your creation. You can doodle a lot or just a little, I chose just a little on my card.
I adore this sweet Make a Wish Tilda. My friend Ann kindly stamped some of her for me and now that I've colored her once, I NEED to order this stamp! Simon Says Stamp has the Wedding and Fairy Tale Collection available for pre-order now. I think she's just the cutest ever, so I must have her! I've colored her with Copics and added lots of Stickles to her dress and wand. I've added my doodles to the image corner with more Stickles.
The papers are SU! Bella Blue with blue and cream card stock. I added more Stickles to all the paper edges as well. I've embellished with cherry blossoms in blue and cream. We recently ran out of these beautiful flowers at Whimsy Stamps, but we should have more early next week.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Quixotic Challenges: Monochromatic
Next is my card using the fabulous sketch by our wonderful teammate Jane. To take part in this week's Just Magnolia challenge, please follow Jane's sketch and use a Magnolia image to complete your project. I loved Jane's sketch, but I'm not in love with this card. I think with all the sickness and stress of the week, it's taken the joy out of crafting.
I used this sweet Tilda with Tulips image that I already had colored. I colored her last week and then never made a card with her. I used Copics on the image and then some white gel pen highlights. The papers are from my local craft store with some moss and cream card stock. I distressed the edges and added some Stickles for shine. I've embellished with lace ribbon, pearls, cherry blossoms and roses and finished with a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps with the modern label punch and oval punch.
This card also fits the challenges at:
One Stop Craft: Let it Shine
Creative Cottage: Sparkle
Simon Says Stamp: Spring with glimmer
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a great weekend!

My First Pixie
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! Another week almost half over now. And I tell you, after the way this week has been going, I can not wait for it to be done! Having sick kiddos at home really puts a wrench in all the plans and good intentions. Good news is that my son is at school today and he was excited to go! Not so good news, my daughter now has a cold and is pretty grumpy. But, I guess we do what we can and go from there.
I do have some good and exciting news to share with you and a card too. First, I've been asked to join the senior design team for The Pixie Cottage! I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to do some more design work and The Pixie Cottage stamps are super adorable! I want to thank Michelle, the owner of The Pixie Cottage, for the chance to work on her team and with her stamp line! I can't wait to get my DT packet and start playing. The Pixie Cottage stamps can be found at Michelle's Scrapbooking along with a long list of other fabulous stamps and crating supplies. And I've personally ordered from Michelle and her service is outstanding!
I created my first Pixie Cottage card today in honor of my new DT position.I've used the image Valentine Hannah by Sandra Hammer.I just think she's so sweet!
I've colored her with Copics. I was aiming for a country feel to this card, so I used some Graphic 45 papers and distressed and stitched the edges. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday. I've kept the embellishments simple and just used some lace and gingham ribbons with a flower charm.
Thanks for dropping by today. I hope to get some blogging time in later this afternoon. Hope to have a chance to visit you too. Have a great afternoon!

Spring Softness
Morning!
Hope your Tuesday is off to a great start. This is going to be a quick post for me as I have my son home from school sick again and we are heading off to the doctors. Can this long drawn out Winter and all it's germs and sickness just be done already, please! Has anyone else had more sickness at home than normal? My son has missed so much school this year, I've lost count.
OK, my card....I made this card over the weekend using an image I colored last week, but never found time to do anything with. This is a SCACD image by Elisabeth Bell. I think she's perfect for a Spring time card or to bring a little cheer.
The sketch/layout is from this week's Friday Sketchers challenge with some BG Lily Kate papers. I've distressed all the edges and then embellished with flowers and roses and some ribbons and sticky pearls.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Creative Cottage: Flowers
Crafty Calendar: Flower Power
Your Next Stamp: Distressing
Thanks for dropping by today. I hope that life will return to normal soon and I can get around to visiting all of you. Have a great day!

Sweetness in Purple
Happy Monday!
We had a great weekend here, lots of sunshine and relaxation too. I hope you're weekend was nice. Today it's not very nice outside, so I've been working and then have plans to stamp this afternoon. Hopefully, the Spring time weather will return soon. Unfortunately, I think it will be awhile, we're suppose to get rain for the next few days. Perfect crafting weather though!
I was still in the Spring time mood when I created this card. I used a sweet new Magnolia from the Hoppy Easter collection. I don't have this one yet, but Erin was kind enough to stamp me some. I think she's adorable and I love her long hair. Thanks Erin!
I colored the image with copics and added some white gel pen highlights. Then I cut her out and used foam tape to pop her up. The basket also has some flower soft added to the flowers for more texture. I went with the sketch from this week's Magnolia Down Under challenge and used some BG Wisteria papers. I love these soft pretty purples and greens. I stitched with the sewing machine, my new favorite embellishment! And then added some Primas and roses and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps punched with the oval punches and tagged with ribbon. This card also fits the challenge at Secret Crafter of Spring.
Thanks for dropping over today. I'm off to craft a bit, I hope you have a nice afternoon too.

OWH Spring Break Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to the Operation Write Home blog hop! If you are joining me today from Kaere's blog, Whispers and Wishes, you are in the right place, but if you've just stumbled onto our hop today, you will definitely want to go back to the start of the hop to see all the amazing creations and blog candy chances along the way!
We are holding this hop today to inspire you to create as well as to raise awareness for and the need for greeting cards and words of encouragement for our troops stationed around the world. The wonderful and caring volunteers of Operation Write Home, work tirelessly to help make sure our troops have cards to write home on, and to make sure they themselves receive mail to lift their spirits and know that those of us back home appreciate ALL that they are doing for us and our freedom.
I am honored to take part in this event. I did so last year and I plan to do so each year as I am able. I think it's important that we do what we can for our troops, however big or small. Last year I sent OWH a couple boxes of old swap cards from when I was a Stampin' Up! demo, it was great to be able to recycle those cards for a good cause. I'm hoping to gather up enough cards to send another box this year too. If you would like to send some cards or have questions about OWH, you can find all the info you need by clicking HERE.
The theme of our hop is "Spring" so I've created this card using the Whimsy Stamps carousel horse Spring Stepping. I think this stamp is absolutely perfect for this time of year! And since today is the first day of Spring it makes it all that much more appropriate.
I've colored my image with Copics and added some Stickles glitter to give her some sparkle. The papers are BasicGrey Sultry with Stampin' Up card stock in chocolate and pink. I've distressed all the edges and stitched with the sewing machine. I've embellished with ribbon, lace, and Prima flowers and cherry blossoms.
To thank you for taking the time to visit my blog along this hop. In addition to sharing a card today, I am also offering some blog candy. You don't have to do anything special to enter, except leave a link with your name and blog address in the linky feature below. If you would like to help us spread the word about this hop, that would of course be greatly appreciated. My candy will remain open for this weekend and end at 9am EST on Monday, March 22nd. I will announce the winner later that day and he/she will have 48 hours to claim the prize. One lucky random person will win this beautiful Spring Stepping stamp set, deeply etched red rubber mounted on EZ mount foam!
ENTER BLOG CANDY HERE
Now, I hope you will continue with our hop today and stop at Kelli's blog, KelliStamps4U...and U can 2, which is the next stop on the hop.
Thank you so much for hopping with us! Have a great weekend!

Distressing and an Easel Card
Happy Friday!
Boy am I glad Friday is here! It's been a good week, but a busy one. The weather has actually helped to make it busier for me because I've put things off in favor of being outside. Do love this time of year though and it's worth it. Hope you've had a good week and will have a nice weekend.
Today I have two cards to share, the first one for the new challenge at Stamp Something. This week our challenge is to create a "Distressed Something" which can be whatever you feel distressed means. You can tear it up or sponge the edges or mess around, make it vintage...just have fun ripping it up! Our sponsor this week is Stamp and Create and Lacey, the owner, has donated a $20 gift certificate for our random winner.
I've used a Wags n' Whiskers image for my card. Isn't she adorable! I've colored her with Copics and highlighted with white gel pen. I've used some BG papers and blue and pink card stock and distressed all the edges with scissors. I've embellished with ribbons, corduroy buttons, Prima flowers, and cherry blossoms.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Stamp with Fun: Sketch
The Pink Elephant: Spring
Pile It On!: Pastel Color
Next, I have my card for Just Magnolia. This week we would like to see you use your Magnolia images to create an easel card. If you don't know how to make any easel card, you can find a tutorial here.
This is the front/main part of my easel card. I've used some new papers from my local craft store with some blush and chocolate card stock. I've distressed the edges and stitched with the sewing machine. The image is a new one from the Hoppy Easter Collection that just arrived yesterday. I've colored her with Copics and tried for a more distressed look in the coloring. I've highlighted with white gel pen.
Here's the view of the full easel fold. I've embellished with lace ribbon, also from the local craft store, and some flowers and cherry blossoms. The sentiment and flower stamp are from Whimsy Stamps and the little lamb is from the same Hoppy Easter image, just cut out and popped up.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Roses on Paper: Easter
Friday Sketchers: Sketch from last week
Craft Challenge: Nursery Rhymes (Little Bo Peep)
All That Scraps: Easel Cards
Copic Creations: Favorite Past Challenges - Brunette Hair and Faces and Skin Tones
Thanks for visiting on this fine Friday! I hope you have a chance to join in the new challenges at Stamp Something and Just Magnolia, which you could actually combine this week! Be sure to check out the fabby creations by my fellow DT members as well. Have a great weekend!

A Princess and Her Frog
Good Afternoon!
Hope you've had a good day. I was overly busy this morning, more than I had planned, but I did find some time to stamp. I actually needed to find the time to do some DT work and then I got carried away coloring some new images my friend Ann sent me the other day.
My daughter was watching the Princess and the Frog while I was working and so I decided to create a fairytale themed card. I used this sweet new Magnolia Princess image, one that Ann shared with me.
I colored my image with Copics and then added lots of stickles to her wings and the ground underneath her. Every fairy princess needs a bed of glitter! I've used some DCWV papers from the Fairytale Stack and distressed the edges and then stitched with the sewing machine. I've embellished with lace and satin ribbon and a princess crown charm and some roses.
This card fits the challenges at:
Charisma Cardz: Something for Kids
Truly Scrumptious: Sketch
My Time to Craft: Lovely Lace
Cute Daisy May: Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by today, I'm off to finally answer some emails....oh and thanks to all who left me messages or emails about the cat pee dilemma. I took some of those pieces of advise and have eliminated the odor! Thanks!

Morning!
Hope your day is off to a good start...it has to be better than mine! I started the day by getting peed on by our cat! It was his turn to visit the vet and apparently he was pretty upset about getting in the pet carrier so he peed on me and the kitchen in the process. Oh so much fun! Then it was off to the grocery store, another one of my favorite ways to start the day! If anyone has any tips on getting the cat pee smell to go away, please share! I cleaned everything before I left, but I can still smell it now. Ahhh, the joys! With the way this day started it can only get better from here, right?!
I created this card yesterday afternoon to play along with some challenges. I started with this sweet angel image from Whiff of Joy.
I colored her with Copics and added some white gel pen highlights and then some Stickle accents. The papers are new from my local craft store and fit the Lilac and Lemon challenge at Papertake Weekly. I would have never thought to use this combo on my own, but I love it! So soft and feminine. I've used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and then embellished with some flowers. I think this card is perfect for Spring, so it also fits the challenge at The Pink Elephant.
I hope to get some time to craft this afternoon, while my corn beef dinner is slow cooking. By the way Happy St. Patrick's Day! Hope you have some fun things planned with family and friends to celebrate. Have a great afternoon!

A Whimsy Easter
Good Morning!
Hope you're having a great week so far. We had a really rainy and windy weekend and yesterday was pretty bad too, but the sun is out today. Hopefully the kids and I will be able to out after school.
Today I have a card to share that I did for a Guest DT spot over at A Spoon Full of Sugar. Whimsy Stamps is sponsoring the challenge and Debbie kindly asked our DT members to participate as guests this week! So there should be lots of Whimsy to see over at A Spoon Full of Sugar. The challenge this week is Easter, should be a fun one for everyone to participate in and if you do, you could win a gift certificate to our Whimsy Stamps online store.
My card uses Whimsy Bunny and Snowman, but I removed the snowman and made this little fellow a fun Easter bunny.
I've colored him with Copics and used some Heidi Grace papers in pastel colors. I've embellished with pearls, Prima flowers, and roses. I also added some faux stitching with a white gel pen.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Cupcake Craft: Going Green
The Pink Elephant: Spring
Pile it On!: Pastel Colors
I hope you'll have a chance to play along with the Spoon Full challenge this week! And if you missed it, Whimsy is hosting a blog hop right now, until noon EST on Wednesday the 17th. We are celebrating the release of our 3 new carousel horse stamp sets. If you hop along you could win these new stamp sets!
Before I go, I just wanted to share one more picture...I don't often share personal things, but she is just too darn cute, I couldn't resist. This is my office pal, Bella, who sleeps next to my desk all day, keeping me company! Love her!
Have a great Tuesday, happy stamping!

Hello and welcome to our Whimsy Stamps "Spin on the Merry Go Round" blog hop!
Today we are excited to share the new carousel horse release with you! Some of you may have seen some sneak peeks over the last couple of days, but if you missed them, no worries, you will get a chance to see all the new releases today! We have added 3 new rubber stamp sets to our Crissy Armstrong Collection...Proud Momma, Spring Stepping, and Wings of Hope! Each of these stamp sets includes a beautifully detailed carousel horse, coordinating flourish accessory, and some sentiment stamps.
If you are joining me from our new DT member, Chris's blog, you are in the right place. However, if you are just stopping in on our hop, you will want to take a spin back over to our Guest Designer Bev's blog for the start of the hop. Each of our Whimsy Designers have created beautiful projects to showcase these new stamps, you don't want to miss them! We also have a blog candy chance at the end of the hop! So be sure to leave everyone a little love and then enter the draw over on the Whimsy Stamps home page.
I've gone with the new set Proud Momma. I just love the beauty and sweetness of this image. All the pretty details and the areas to add pops of color make this image really fun to work with. I've colored with Copics and then added the flourish stamp to the edging and finished off with some Stickles. I framed the image with circle Nesties.
On the card, I used blue and yellow card stock with BasicGrey Lily Kate papers. I've stitched all the edges on my sewing machine. I've embellished with Prima flowers and cherry blossoms, a baby shoe charm and wire heart, buttons with ribbon, and a sentiment also from this stamp set.
This card also fits some challenges...

Secret Crafter: Anything Goes
Cupcake Craft: Flower Power
Cute Daisy May: Mother's Day
Stamp with Fun: Spring

Happy Stamping,
Just Magnolia - A Sketch
Happy Friday Morning!
Hope you had a great week! It's been getting warmer and warmer and starting to feel like Spring around here, but today it's a bit colder and this weekend it's suppose to rain. I suppose we can't have great weather every day. Hopefully the warmth will return soon.
I have my Just Magnolia card to share with you now and then I will be back in a little bit with my Stamp Something card and a special treat! Our challenge at Just Magnolia this week is a sketch by the mega talented Bev! It's a simple to use sketch that can be left plain or dressed up! I know for sure I will use it again and again!
I went with dressing my card up a bit! I used some new papers from Stampin' Up! called Bella Bleu with blue and white card stock. I also stitched the edges on each layer with the sewing machine. I dragged the machine out the other day and have been having lots of fun using it. You will be seeing more cards with stitching for sure! I colored this sweet Tilda with Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen. I cut her out and sat her in the frame created with Nesties. I've embellished with sticky gems, Prima flowers, roses, and cherry blossoms. The sentiment is from the Oval Snippets set available at Whimsy Stamps.
This card also fits the challenges at:
Cute Card Thursday: Celebrations
Kaboodle Doodles: Happy Birthday
Pile It On!: One color + one neutral
Please hop on over to Just Magnolia and check out all the fabulous creations that my fellow design team members created this week with Bev's easy to use sketch! I hope you'll join in the fun too and play along!
Be back in just a bit!

Yummy Fun
Happy Wednesday!
Another week half over, it's going by quickly again! Hope it's been going well for you so far.
We have some exciting things going on at Whimsy Stamps right now that I wanted to tell you about and then I also have a card to share. For the next 2 weeks we are holding a Guest Designer Call to find 2 talented people to join our DT for the months of April and May. Right now over on the Whimsy Inspiration Blog we have an amazing tutorial from the talented Kim Piggott of Cards by Kim using glitter and the Cool Ride stamp set! And then on Sunday this weekend, we will be releasing 3 new carousel horse stamp sets, each illustrated by Crissy Armstrong! Stay tuned for some sneak peeks at the end of the week with some blog candy chances too!
Now for my card...
I used the sketch from Truly Scrumptious on this one with some papers from DCWV's Sweet Stack. The added challenge was to create something that is good enough to eat. I think these papers are a perfect match!
I went with a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and colored her with Copics. I've added some Stickle accents, taken from Kim's Tutorial, to match these glitter papers. This image also fits the good enough to eat challenge at TS. I've finished this card off with some old ribbons (to fit the challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie), buttons, and rose flowers. Then added a sentiment from the Snippets Set 1 available at Whimsy Stamps.
Thanks for dropping over today! Hope you have a great afternoon!

Spring Time
Happy Tuesday to you!
Hope your day is off to a great start. I plan to be busy today! We have a play date with friends and then I have some work to get to, plus all the laundry that I didn't feel like doing yesterday! Ahhh, chores! Hope you have a great day!
I have a quick post of a card to share with you before I get going on the day. I've gone with another spring time theme as the weather here has put me in the mood! And I've used Summer Day Emma, from Whimsy Stamps, for the image.
I love these BG Lily Kate papers, they're just perfect for a soft and springy card. I combined those with blue, yellow and green card stock. I used the sketch from Sketch and Stash and my neglected stash was the lace ribbon accent. I colored the image with Copics and then embellished with flowers and pearls.
This card fits the challenges at:
Cupcake Craft: Flower Power
My Time to Craft: Kids Kards - since Emma is my kid, I think this qualifies! LOL!
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Recycle - I've used a bunch of scrap papers for this card
I am also going to send this card to a special young girl named Bethany, from the Make A Child Smile organization. This is part of a Whimsy Stamps challenge going on right now, hosted by our GDT Nikki. For details, please click HERE. We hope you'll help "make a child smile" too!
Thanks for coming by today, I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and get a chance to get outside in the sunshine!

Sweet and Springy
Good Morning!
Happy Monday to you all! Hope you had a nice weekend. The weather was beautiful here. It was sunny and in the 50's both days. Great weather for getting outside with the kids. We rode bikes and ran around, they had a blast. It was so nice to open up the windows and let in the fresh air too. I can't wait until we can leave them open every day!
Today I have a card to share which I created for a few challenges. It's an easel card with a Magnolia image and some new Heidi Grace papers.
I used the sketch from the challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenges with these pretty and Springy papers in pinks and greens. I distressed the edges and also added stitching. I colored my Tilda with Copics and highlighted with white gel pen. Then I added some Stickles to the edging and below her feet. I've embellished with Prima flowers, roses and Stickles, and some ribbon.
Here's the full view of the easel shape which fits the challenges at Lili of the Valley and Magnolia Down Under. I finished off the card with a sentiment from the set Oval Snippets available at Whimsy Stamps and my oval punches. I added a piece of ribbon with brads and another flower with Stickles. And this card also fits the challenges at Kaboodle Doodles for birthdays and Stamp with Fun's theme of Spring.
Thanks for dropping over today! I hope you have a great Monday!
