Sweet Summer

Morning All!

Hope your Tuesday is off to a great start. We have plans with friends today, the kids will have a nice time playing together while the moms have some relaxing chat time. Sounds like a great day to me!

I have a card to share today that I made using more of my new goodies, some BasicGrey Lemonade paper and a new Tilda stamp.

The sketch is from the challenge at The Next Level and they also had the challenge to make your image 3D. So this little sweetheart has been colored with Copics and cut out and popped up with foam tape. I also added flower soft to her flower basket to make those 3D as well.

The papers are SU! cardstock in Old Olive, Pink Pirouette, and Purely Pomegranate along with BasicGrey Lemonade with cute cherries and flowers. I added some Prima flowers with buttons centers and some grosgrain ribbon and a bow to fit the "Buttons and Bows" challenge at Kaboodle Doodles. Cupcake Craft wanted to see "Butterflies and Blossoms" so I stamped some butterflies as a background on the circle layers and the designer paper already had flowers but the Prima embellishments work too.

Well, that's all I have for you today. Hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by, happy stamping! :)

Summer Holiday

Happy Monday All!

Hope you had a great weekend. The sun was out the whole weekend here so we can't complain! After the rainy summer we've been having any sun is definitely welcome.

I have a card to share today, one I created for a few challenges. First, today there's a new challenge posted at Whimsy Challenges and we want to see your "Christmas in July" creations. You can make a holiday or winter themed card. Feel free to combine this challenge with other challenges and you do not need to use a Whimsy Stamps image to play along. If you have one, of course we'd love to see it though.

This is my let is snow card using Whimsy Seal. I think this little guy is perfect for winter. He's been colored with Copics and then I added some "snow" underneath him. The "snow" is a snow writer pen and glitter. This sketch/layout is from Friday Sketchers and I used some SU! Night of Navy with Bashful Blue cardstock. I also used a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I embossed with the CB and snowflakes folder.

The ribbon is from a retired SU! pack. The embellishments are some punched out navy circles with buttons, which qualify for the challenge at Stamp with Fun of punches and shapes. I also added a piece of gingham ribbon with a snowflake charm and brad. The sentiment is from Whimsy's Winter Words set which is on a tag created using the word window punch.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a great afternoon. I'm headed outside with the kids now and then maybe a picnic on the lawn in the backyard.

Happy stamping! :)

Pile It On! challenge 6 - a sketch

Morning all,

Hope you're having a great weekend. The sun is shining here, so no complaints! As today is Sunday, there is a new challenge posted at Pile It On! and this week we want you to use our sketch along with other current challenges as you pile it on! Remember piled on challenges need to be current to count.

This is the card I made using the sketch.

At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to make, a card or a scrapbook page. This sketch would be great for either, but I settled on a card. I'm much better at cards than I am at scrapbook pages. So, I'll stick with what I know! :)

This card also fits the challenges at Papertake Weekly of "my favorite things" of which I used my favorite color combo of purple and green with my new favorite paper, BasicGrey Wisteria! Love this paper! The card stock is SU! Elegant Eggplant and Mellow Moss. I used my Rainy Day Emma stamp from Whimsy Stamps and paper pieced her dress, boots, and umbrella to fit the challenge at Simon Says Stamp which was to paper piece on your project. The rest of the image was colored with Copics.

The small rectangle areas are a green piece of Wisteria paper with embossed vellum over. V is for vellum was the challenge over at ABC Challenges. And my sentiment, from SU! Short and Sweet is thank you to fit the "thank you miss" theme at Cute Card Thursday. My final accents to finish off this card are some Prima flowers, dew drop beads, grosgrain ribbon, gingham ribbon, and linen thread with a butterfly charm.

Thanks for dropping by this Sunday. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and if you're in the mood to challenge yourself, join us in piling it on! Happy stamping. :)

Just Magnolia Butterfly

Hello All!

Welcome to the weekend! Yay! Hope you have some fun stuff planned. I'm getting ready to head outside to enjoy the sunshine. But before I do that, I wanted to share a card I made using some new goodies!

This card is for the Just Magnolia challenge this week which was to use a sketch by Mina. I loved the sketch, very easy to use and I just happened to get a couple new Magnolias in the mail yesterday so of course I needed to ink them up!

This is Tilda as a Butterfly and she's been colored with Copics and paired with my new BasicGrey Lemonade paper. This is such a sweet image and these papers are perfect for summer! Love this color combo of pinks and greens and yellows, which just happens to be the color challenge at Stamp Something this week too.

I used my Coluzzle to frame Tilda with a scalloped oval Nestie. The card stock is SU! Purely Pomegranate, Pink Pirouette, and Old Olive. They match perfectly with this Lemonade paper. I used grosgrain and stitched ribbon to create on of the sketch layers and the added a wire heart and flower charm. The final accents were some Prima flowers and button centers with some paper pierced and white gel pen faux stitching. The sentiment is from SU! Short and Sweet.

Thanks for visiting. Hope you have a fabulous weekend! See you tomorrow for a new Pile It On! challenge. Happy stamping! :)

Stamp Something Pink, Green, and Yellow

Morning All and happy Friday!

I can't believe another week is over, time is flying by! I'm actually not at all sorry to see this week final end though, it's been another rainy one here in NH. Hopefully the weekend will bring some sunshine!

We have a new challenge today over on Stamp Something and it's a color challenge. We want to see you make something using the colors pink, green, and yellow. We have a great blog candy prize donated by our new sponsor Peachy Keen Stamps. They also generously donated some stamps for the design team to use in our samples this week.

This is my card using this sweet happy face flower. The photo is a bit darker than I would like because when I tried to enhance it, everything got way too bright and the colors looked horrible. So, orginal is how it's staying!

The card stock is all SU! in Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, and So Saffron. I also used some SU! and BasicGrey designer papers in pinks and yellows. The image has been colored with Copics and placed in a scalloped circle frame. This layout is from Truly Scrumptious this week, however to enter the challenge I would have had to use black, white, and another color. So sadly, this card doesn't qualify, but I just loved the sketch and had to give it a try. I embellished with various grosgrain ribbons, Prima flowers, a button, and a couple brads. This card does also fit the challenge of children cards at Stamp with Us.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you'll join us in stamping something pink, green, and yellow this week. Have a great weekend! Happy stamping! :)

Sweet Treat

Happy Wednesday,

Hope you had a great day! It was raining here again so I did some housework and laundry and only just now got to do some stamping. I'll be quick with this post because it's late and it's time to relax in front of the TV.

This card is for a few challenges starting with Digital Tuesday Challenge and using this cute Dustin Pike monkey with a cupcake to fit the challenge of Sweet Birthdays.

I also used the stars and strips challenge at The Pink Elephant. I have some punched stars and a couple strips of ribbon. The ribbon also fits at Creative Card Crew and the button accents work for Charisma Cardz!. Finally, I used the sketch from Mojo Monday with some Fancy Pants papers and card stock from SU!.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope to have a little more time for crafting tomorrow, but if I don't see then, I will see you on Friday with a new Stamp Something challenge. Have a great night, happy stamping! :)

In Black and White

Happy Tuesday,

This is going to be a quick post as I should be making dinner! Hope you had a great Tuesday. It's a rainy one here again, a good day for stamping and relaxing inside with the kids.

I create this card today for a few challenges. The image is Whimsy Skunk colored with Copics. The papers are some I got at WalMart. I love the soft floral patterns and elegance of these. They are paired with Basic Black and Whisper White from SU!. I embellished with a fabric flower, ribbon rose, black and white striped ribbon, strips of sticky rhinestones, and some brads.

This card fits the challenges at:
Cupcake Craft of black and white
A Spoon Full of Sugar to use hearts
Stamp with Fun - the layout I used, I did flip it around though
Cute Card Thursday to use stitching
Creative Card Crew to use ribbons
Paper Take Weekly to use "My Favorite Things" of which I used one of my favorite Whimsy Stamps

OK, I think that's all of them! Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great night! Happy stamping! :)

Whimsy Birthday Challenge

Hi All!

Hope your Monday is going well and the work day is over for you. I've had a busy day catching up from the long weekend. Hope you all enjoyed the 4th of July and had some fun! We never did see any fireworks, but the sun was shining so no complaints here!

I have a card to share today for the new challenge at Whimsy Stamps Challenges. This week our theme is anything birthdays! I also added in a couple other challenges with this card. My image is Whimsy Turtle, colored with Copics and highlighted with a gel pen and some Stickles.

The sketch/layout is from Lili of the Valley challenge. I love this sketch, very easy to use. My papers are SU! Bravo Burgundy and Baja Breeze with some patterned paper by Fancy Pants Designs. I stitched the edges with my sewing machine and also put some stitching on the ribbons to hold them together. I'm not the world's best seamstress, so my stitching isn't exactly straight! The stitching though fits with the challenge of a "Stitch in Time" from Cute Card Thursday. The final accents are some Prima flowers and button centers, which fit the button challenge at Charisma Cardz. And final the challenge at The Next Level is buttons and bows of which I have both. The sentiment is from SU! Short and Sweet.

Thanks for stopping by today, if you're up for a challenge, head on over to Whimsy Challenges and join us in our Birthday Challenge! Happy stamping! :)

Exciting News and a Card

Happy Sunday All,

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I don't typically post on Sundays, but that is going to change. I have some fun and exciting news to share, I have been asked to join the design team at Pile It On! challenges! Of course, I said YES! I love challenges and I'm honored to work with this talented bunch of crafters! If you don't know about Pile It On!, head on over there now and check it out. They are a fun weekly challenge site which posts new challenges each Sunday. What makes Pile It On! unique though, is that not only do you need to use the PIO! challenge, but you also need to incorporate other blog challenges into your entry. Basically, challenge yourself to see how many challenges you can add to one project! Fun right! The only stipulation is that the combined challenges need to be current challenges for them to count in the Pile It On! challenge.

This is my first Pile It On! design team card. I used the Pile It On! challenge this week, which is to use at least 3 different embellishments. Then I added the challenges at Whiff of Joy, which is 3 papers, 3 flowers, and 1 ribbon, the color challenge of Guava, Chocolate, and Sky at Color Throwdown, the sketch from Sketch and Stash, and the challenge of a Stitch in Time from Cute Card Thursday.

I used this Willow with Umbrella image and paper pieced her pants and top with some Soft Sky designer paper and colored the other areas of the image with Copics. The umbrella has been paper pieced with chocolate and guava designer paper. The card stock is Groovy Guava and Chocolate Chip from SU! with other retired designer prints. I embellished with felt flowers, flower buttons, a flower charm, stitched ribbon, grosgrain ribbon, and some faux stitching with a white gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by, now what are you waiting for, get piling those challenges together! Then head over to Pile It On! challenges and check out the fabulous DT samples and play along with us! Happy Stamping!

Long Over Due Thanks....

Hi All!

Happy 4th of July to everyone, hope you are having a great weekend! Be safe and have fun!

I have just a quick post today, one I should have made a while ago! I received a few much appreciated blog awards over the last few weeks and I've been meaning to share them, but time as gotten away from me. I am so sorry to have taken so long, apologies to the wonderful ladies who shared these with me. I do VERY much feel honored to have received these from each of you! Thank you!

First, is this lovely award which I received from both Janis and Vikki! Thank you both, you are too too kind! And, right back at you too! :) It's always really nice when you're blog and work are recognized by fellow crafters. Both of these ladies also have "lovely" blogs with lots of great inspiration!

I also received this next award from Sue and would like to say thank you to her! Sue has a fabulous blog with new creations posting all the time! Sue is a friend and fellow DT member at Whimsy Challenges! Thanks for this fun award Sue!

I'm not sure on the rules for these awards, but if you have never received them, you have now! I would like to present these to the fabulous friends that take time each day to visit and leave me such sweet comments. They are always great to read and mean so much!

Enjoy your weekend! Happy Stamping! :)
