Anything Goes with Glitter

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

And Happy New Year's Eve! Hope you all have a very safe and happy celebration tonight and a happy and healthy New Year ahead!

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something. We had taken last week off so it's nice to be starting fresh after the holidays with 2 new challenges! The challenge this week at JM is "Anything Goes" and at SS it's "Something with Glitter" so I've decided to create one card and combine the challenge themes.

At JM we are changing things up a bit! Starting with this challenge, technically our last of 2010 and first of 2011, we are going to be using Magnolias and now also hAnglar and stAnglar stamps! So from this point forward you can participate in the challenges with either a Magnolia or hAnglar image on your creation! As I don't really have any hAnglars, yet, I have used this sweet "Sneaky Tilda" on my card today.

I started out with the sketch from last week's Friday Sketchers challenge and paired that with BG Marjolaine papers. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and also added some glittery touches to some paper edges. The image was colored with Copics and then cut out and adhered to the framed circle and then I added more glitter. I've embellished with pearls, ribbon, a charm, and flowers.

This card also fits at:
Moving Along with the Times: Birthdays and Circles
Paper Sundaes: Cut it Out

Glitter Text - http://www.glittertextlive.com
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you will stop by over at JM and SS to check out my fellow DT member creations and maybe even play along this week too! Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy New Year!

Now for a card to share too...this is one using the new Whimsy Stamp "I'd Follow You Anywhere" and I just love it! I've been afraid to color this one as I'm not great with the white polar bear coloring, but I've been visiting Crissy's blog and getting some inspiration. You MUST stop by and see her gorgeous cards, you will be happy you did!

I've used some Bo Bunny Tis the Season papers with stitching and glitter on the edges. The image was colored with copics and a white gel pen, then I added more glitter accents. One for Fun

Please scroll down or click HERE to enter my Thank You blog candy - Open until December 30th!

Good Morning All!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! We had a lovely Christmas and Santa spoiled us good! And yesterday we were snowed in with a blizzard so everything is white and pretty! Now getting back into the normal routine, well that is taking some time! lol

I did do some crafting yesterday, it felt good to get crafty. My resolution this year will be to take a few minutes each day and do something for me - hopefully crafting. We'll see if I can stick to that! What are your resolutions this year?

Elisabeth Bell is holding a GDT call for her digital stamp line and I love her stamps, so I thought I would make a card and give it a shot. It's been a long time since I've tried out for a design call, but I want to get motivated in the New Year to do more with my crafting so I thought this was a good way to start!Plus it was fun just to create a card for fun.

This is my card using the digital image "Ginnie, Gliding with Butterflies" isn't she sweet! I was in the mood for a non-Christmas card and a chance to use some new Bo Bunny papers. The papers have been stitched on the sewing machine and then I used the sketch from the Digi Bells DT call. There were two options for the sketch and I think this one fit the image better. I've printed the image on Neenah paper and then colored with Copics. The card has been embellished with sticky gems, ribbon, and flowers with some gem stamens.

This card also fits some challenges:
My Time to Craft: Brand New (this digi is new)
Die Cut Dreams: Girlie
Allsorts: Anything Goes

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you have a great Tuesday!

Love Bucket

Good Morning,

Happy Tuesday! So are you ready for Christmas? I just got in from some last minute shopping and actually still have a bit more to do, but was not feeling the shopping today. Probably because I have some work to do and want to get that done. Maybe I'll venture out again later today.

I thought I would share a card with you all before I get to work though. This is one I made yesterday when I needed a break from other things. I love the image and the papers, but looking at it now, I'm not 100% happy with the heart accent. It's a rosy pink color but it photographed red and the crackle effect I did to it isn't showing up the greatest either. Ahh...just going to be one of those cards!

This image is a new Whimsy rubber stamp illustrated by Crissy Armstrong called Love in a Bucket. I just love these sweet puppies, they remind me of our two golden retrievers who are much older but attached at the hip! I've colored the image with copics and the framed it with nesties. The papers are BG Curio and I've used some lace, ribbon, flowers, a pin, and the heart to accent the card.

This one fits the challenges at:
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes
Die Cute Dreams: Girlie
All Sorts: Anything Goes

Thanks for dropping by today. Be sure to stop back over tomorrow...I plan to have some blog candy for you! I want to post a Merry Christmas, thanks for following, 100000 hits candy! So check back and enter for a chance to win!

Have a great day everyone!

A Sketch and A Pocket

Morning!

Happy Friday to you! Can you believe that we are about a week away from Christmas! Guess I better get my shopping done! Today being Friday also means new challenges over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something and this week both challenges will run for two weeks.

Our challenge this week at JM is a fabby sketch by our talented Mina! And it's one that I am sure I will use again. Be sure you include a Magnolia image on your card to be eligible for the prize which this week is sponsored by 7 Kids College Fund.

A couple of months ago I got these beautiful new Curio papers fro BG but I had yet to use them, so I broke those out for this card. I've distressed the edges with scissors and went for a vintage feel for this card. I colored the image with Copics and then cut her out and adhered her to a dry embossed layer. I've embellished with ribbon and lots of flowers and some pearls. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and was framed with vanilla hodgepodge from SU.

This card also fits at:
Magnolia Down Under: Red, brown, cream

At SS this week we are asking you to create "Something with a pocket or a tag" and we are being sponsored by Whiff Of Joy stamps!

For this card, I started with the Holiday Folly papers from Whimsy Stamps and then stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The pocket was created with my Big Shot and a Sizzix die and then I added the image to a tag to cover the tag and pocket challenge! The image was colored with copics and then highlighted with glitter. I finished up with some pearls, ribbon, and snowflakes. The sentiment is from Whimsy's Winter Letter Seals.

This card fits at:
Cute Card Thursday: One for the Kids
Copic Creations: Sparkle
Going Grey: Make it a tag
PaperKutz: Snowflake or Snowman
The Pink Elephant: Winter Wonderland
Stamptacular Sunday: Winter Wishes
Totally Gorjuss: Snow

Thanks so much for dropping on by today. Hope you have a lovely weekend and get all those final holiday preparations done. If you missed our Whimsy Stamps-KennyK release yesterday, you can hop with us until December 23rd for a chance to win all 8 of the new KennyK rubber stamps! Click HERE to hop!

Have a great day!

Whimsy New Release - KennyK Collection

Hello and Happy Thursday!

Whimsy Stamps has some excitiing news to share with you today - we have a new rubber artist joining our team.... KENNY KIERNAN!

As many of you will know, KennyK is currently a digital stamp artist (amongst many other things) and although Whimsy will not be carrying any KennyK digis, we are making some of Kenny's existing designs into rubber and then hopefully adding some new designs along the line that will be exclusive to the Whimsy rubber collection!

So to celebrate this wonderful new venture, the Whimsy Stamps DT plus our fab special Whimsy guests Elaine Hughes, Deb, and Janna, are holding a BLOG HOP to showcase the EIGHT images that are being made into rubber:

All That
Devilish Donna
Download Diva
Kitty Katastrophe
Luscious Linda
Movie Star
Rock Chick
Troublemaker

The rubber stamps are available to PRE-ORDER today from the Whimsy store, and will hopefully be in stock and start shipping right after the Christmas holiday! We expect these stamps to arrive and begin shipping during the week of the 27th.

Our super-talented Ann, of Raindrop Echo Designs, has designed some wonderful digital sentiments, "Fast Lane Sentiments", that work fabulously with these images - thank you Ann! These are also being released today and can be found in the Raindrop Echo Designs Digi Collection!

If you would like to participate in the hop and you didn't arrive here from VICKI's blog, please CLICK HERE to return to the beginning of the hop at Simonne's blog.  The hop started today (Thursday December 16th at noon EST) and ends on Thursday December 23rd at noon EST.

For this hop we have 4 different prize draws! The grand prize of ALL 8 of the new release rubber stamps is right here at the end of the hop, on my blog, and there are also 3 mini candy stops throughout the hop! Be sure to visit all the DT spots today to enter all the blog candy prize chances!

Now on to my creations for this hop using the new KennyK stamps!

I have created two cards for the hop today, one using "Troublemaker" and the other using "All That". First up is Troublemaker....

I think she's one of my favorite image from this new release. I just love her pretty eyes and playful smile. I've colored the image with Copics. The papers are Bo Bunny, but I forget which collection name they come from. I've distressed the edges with scissors and then embellished with brads, ribbons, flowers, and a tag sentiment from Ann's Fast Lane set.

Next up is my card using "All That"...isn't she fun! She's so sassy and cool!

I've used some BG Olivia papers on this card with black card stock to make it all pop! The image was colored with Copics. I've embellished simply with ribbon and a gemstone charm.

OK, you've reached the end of our new release hop today. You can enter for a chance to win all 8 of the new stamps, by clicking on the blue frog below and adding your name and link below. If you missed the start of the hop and want to join in, there is a link list below of all the stops!

Thank you so much for hopping with us today and I hope you enjoy this exciting new release! Happy hopping!

Penguin's Present

Good Morning,

Happy Tuesday to you! Hope that you are having a great week. This is going to be a quick post to share a card and then I have to get back to work.

I've used the new Whimsy Stamps rubber stamp Penguin's Present from the Meljen's Designs collection. He's super cute with his little boots and hat as he's waddling on his way with his gift box. He makes a great holiday or birthday image.

I've used the beautiful new Marjolaine papers from BG and then stitched the edges on the sewing machine. I was going for a more masculine feel for this card so I kept the layout and embellishments simple. The image was colored with copics and then I used chalks to create the background. I added some glittery touches with Stickles and then finished off with a couple of buttons.

This card fits the challenges at:
Ellephantastic  - Christmas / winter
Alphabet - g for glitter
Mami Doodles - anything goes
Stampin With The Dragon  - make it sparkle
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - animals or insects
Fab 'n' Funky - Christmas for children
Inktegrity - non traditional holiday colors

Thanks for stopping by today. Please be sure to stop in on Thursday for a new Whimsy Stamps release and blog hop....it's for our NEW artist!

Have a great day!

The image was colored with Copics and cut out and adhered to the music note layer. I've embellished with lace, ribbon, flowers, and a sentiment from the Whimsy Winter Letter Seals set.

This card fits the challenges at:
Fab 'n' Funky - Christmas for children

I finished off with some ribbon and flower embellishments.

Whimsy Sneak Peek - Cozy Cap Mouse

Happy Monday!

Did you have a good weekend? We finally started our holiday shopping and I organized all of my Christmas cards, just need to fill them out and mail them now. Feeling a little better about my holiday to do list. And we also put up our tree and decorated the house a bit. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, all we need now is the snow!

A Holiday Color Combo with Some Sparkle

Happy Friday!

Doing the happy dance that the weekend is almost here! It's been a busy week and I am tired! Hoping to get my holiday shopping started this weekend too. Starting to sweat it here as I've not done anything yet and we are what 22 days away now! Hope you all have some fun things planned for your weekend.

Today brings new challenges to both Just Magnolia and Stamp Something! We hope you will visit and play along with us this week, great prizes to win for both of these challenges. I have decided to combine the challenges for one card as time has been tight lately. The challenge at JM this week is our special monthly challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and the theme is Anything Goes or Sparkle! Yep, you guessed it, I went with the sparkle! And over at SS our challenge is to use your favorite holiday color combo, so pretty easy to do with the holidays fast approaching. Our sponsor at SS this week is Kut4U!

I went with the color combo of blue and red from these beautiful Bo Bunny papers. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then sprayed all the layers with glimmer mist. The image was colored with copics and then cut out and glued to the snowflake embossed white layer. I've embellished with ribbon, eyelets, snowflakes and gems, a heart with twinklets, and a Happy Holidays ticket from Whimsy with more twinklets.

Whimsy Monthly Digi Release

Happy December!

Wow, where did November go? I can't believe we are less than a month from Christmas and I haven't done anything to get ready for the holidays this year. How about you? Are you ready?

Today is new digi release day over at Whimsy Stamps and we have lots of new holiday images and sentiments for you to choose from including a brand new collection of colored digital images! That's right, you can now purchase select designs in color! I have to tell you these are perfect for making quick and easy, yet still pretty holiday cards!

I whipped this card up earlier today using Crissy's new Leap of Joy, already colored to perfection, and one of the sentiments from Ann's new Christmas Sentiments digital set.  You can purchase both of these new digital designs now in the Whimsy Shop. I created a layout on my computer and then printed, folded, and added some ribbon and done! Easy, peasy and pretty!

Thanks for coming by today. Hope to be back soon with a new project although crafting time is not much these days. Have a great night!
