All in a Row and Spring

Happy Friday!

Did you have a good week? It's been good but busy here, didn't get much time in for crafting, but hoping this weekend will mean a break and some me time. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Today we have brand new challenges over at Just Magnolia and at Stamp Something. Sadly, this is my last official JM challenge as a DT member. I'm going to move over and give someone else a shot at working with this amazing group of women. I had the BEST time and I am going to miss them all dearly! It's a sad day for me but I have wonderful memories and the honor of having been given the chance to work on such a special DT. Miss you all already!

Our challenge today is to use this little bingo board and make your card accordingly. I've chosen to go diagonal from top left to bottom right and use Gems, Flowers, and Ribbon and Lace. Be sure to also include either a Magnolia stamp or Hanglar and Stanglar stamp on your creation to be eligible for the blog candy prize.

I've used some pretty Memory Box papers and have stitched the edges on my sewing machine. The layout is from this week's Mojo Monday challenge. I've colored Tilda with Copics and then embellished with sticky gems and pearls, roses, vintage seam binding and a vintage brad, lace, and a crackle paint finished chipboard piece. The sentiment is from the Birthday Letter Seals set from Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits at:

Next up is my card for our "Spring Somethings" challenge over at Stamp Something. You can create anything you like with spring time in mind. I've made a baby card using the new Rainy Day Duckling image from Whimsy Stamps.

I colored my image with copics and then cut it out and did a second layer of the umbrella for some dimension. I also paper pieced the umbrella with the same papers on my card. Then used some crystal effects to make it shiny. The papers are Heidi Grace from my stash and I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine again. I embellished with ribbons, pearl ribbon slides, vintage seam binding, and a plastic pacifier charm.

This card fits at:

Sweet Girl

Happy Monday!

Hope you had a great weekend. Ours flew by pretty quickly unfortunately, but I am somewhat happy to get things back to normal. Last week was certainly very busy! Here's to a quiet and uneventful week!

I had a fun afternoon crafting with family yesterday and was able to get a couple cards made. This card I'm sharing today is a criss cross card. You can find a tutorial HERE. I adjusted the size of my card base pieces to fit my image and papers.

This style fold was perfect for the sketch challenge over at Roses on Paper and so I decided to also use this sweet little girl and teddy bear image. I've colored with Copics in pinks and browns. The papers are Heidi Grace and I've stitched the edges with the sewing machine.  I've embellished with roses and satin ribbon and a tab with a corduroy brad.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Stamptacular Sunday: Sew Special
Pile It On!: Make it Sweet

Thanks for dropping by today! Hope you have a great afternoon.

Pixie Cottage Challenge - Sketch and Embossing

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!

Well, the week is already half over and only a couple days until the weekend. We've been having beautiful weather here, almost summer like. So needless to say the crafting time has been at a minimum these last few days because we have been spending so much time outside. Hope you've been enjoying the Spring as much as we have!

I do have a card to share with you today, it's for the new challenge at Pixie Cottage. This week we want to see you either...use the sketch, the theme of embossing, or combine them both! Our challenges are now each Wednesday and there will always be a sketch and a theme to try! Hope you'll join in!

This is my take on the sketch and embossing challenge using a brand new Pixie Cottage image, Little Chick and Little Lamb. I think this image is just adorable and I've decided to use it to make a new baby card. I've colored with Copics and then added some stickles. The papers are Heidi Grace and I've stitched with the sewing machine on all the edges. I've embellished with cherry blossoms, buttons, and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits the challenges at:
The Pink Elephant: Nature (things found in nature)
My Time to Craft: On the Spot (I've used the dots embossing folder on the framed yellowed card stock)
A Spoon Full of Sugar: One for the Boys (baby boy card)

Thanks for dropping by, be sure to visit the Pixie Cottage blog to see the fabulous creations my fellow DT members made for the challenge this week. We hope you will join in the fun too!

A Whimsy Easter

Good Morning!

Hope you're having a great week so far. We had a really rainy and windy weekend and yesterday was pretty bad too, but the sun is out today. Hopefully the kids and I will be able to out after school.

Today I have a card to share that I did for a Guest DT spot over at A Spoon Full of Sugar. Whimsy Stamps is sponsoring the challenge and Debbie kindly asked our DT members to participate as guests this week! So there should be lots of Whimsy to see over at A Spoon Full of Sugar. The challenge this week is Easter, should be a fun one for everyone to participate in and if you do, you could win a gift certificate to our Whimsy Stamps online store.

My card uses Whimsy Bunny and Snowman, but I removed the snowman and made this little fellow a fun Easter bunny.
I've colored him with Copics and used some Heidi Grace papers in pastel colors. I've embellished with pearls, Prima flowers, and roses. I also added some faux stitching with a white gel pen.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Cupcake Craft: Going Green
The Pink Elephant: Spring
Pile it On!: Pastel Colors

I hope you'll have a chance to play along with the Spoon Full challenge this week! And if you missed it, Whimsy is hosting a blog hop right now, until noon EST on Wednesday the 17th. We are celebrating the release of our 3 new carousel horse stamp sets. If you hop along you could win these new stamp sets!

Before I go, I just wanted to share one more picture...I don't often share personal things, but she is just too darn cute, I couldn't resist. This is my office pal, Bella, who sleeps next to my desk all day, keeping me company! Love her!

Have a great Tuesday, happy stamping!

Hi Again!

I'm back now with my card for this week's Stamp Something Challenge. Our challenge is a color combo to use cream and green. You can add in other colors, but be sure your project is mostly cream and green. You'll see that I cheated a bit and added a touch of pink too! Our sponsor this week is Bunny Zoe Crafts with a fabulous prize for one random player! Hop over and check it out!

I have a special treat for you with my Stamp Something card, it's also a sneak peek at the new carousel horse Spring Stepping, created by Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps! This new horse will be available for purchase on Sunday in a rubber stamp set with coordinating flourish accessory and some sentiments.

I've used some Heidi Grace papers with cream and green card stock. I colored the image with Copics and then added lots of stickle accents for shimmer! I've stitched the edges on my papers and then added stickles to all the cream layer edges. I've embellished with flowers, ribbon, and a charm. This sentiment comes with this new carousel horse!

This card also fits the challenges at:
LaLa Land: Use pastel colors
Charisma Cardz!: Beautiful Butterflies (on the image)

Sweet and Springy

Good Morning!

Happy Monday to you all! Hope you had a nice weekend. The weather was beautiful here. It was sunny and in the 50's both days. Great weather for getting outside with the kids. We rode bikes and ran around, they had a blast. It was so nice to open up the windows and let in the fresh air too. I can't wait until we can leave them open every day!

Today I have a card to share which I created for a few challenges. It's an easel card with a Magnolia image and some new Heidi Grace papers.

I used the sketch from the challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenges with these pretty and Springy papers in pinks and greens. I distressed the edges and also added stitching. I colored my Tilda with Copics and highlighted with white gel pen. Then I added some Stickles to the edging and below her feet. I've embellished with Prima flowers, roses and Stickles, and some ribbon.

Here's the full view of the easel shape which fits the challenges at Lili of the Valley and Magnolia Down Under. I finished off the card with a sentiment from the set Oval Snippets available at Whimsy Stamps and my oval punches. I added a piece of ribbon with brads and another flower with Stickles. And this card also fits the challenges at Kaboodle Doodles for birthdays and Stamp with Fun's theme of Spring.

Thanks for dropping over today! I hope you have a great Monday!

Happy Stamping,
