February Digi Bells Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the February Digi Bells Blog Hop!

This month Elisabeth Bell has released a super cute summer themed image called "Little Best Friends" and you can purchase it now from Elisabeth's Digital Gallery! Today the Digi Bells Design Team is hosting this blog hop to share ideas using the new image. We hope you enjoy the hop today!

If you are joining me from Patricia's Blog, you are in the right place, but if you have just stumbled on the hop today and would like to participate, please go back to the Digi Bells blog to start the hop from the beginning.

For my project today I've created an easel card and paired it with some yellow and blue papers for a sunshine/sky theme. These are from SU!, but I believe they are long retired now. They work great with this image and the summer theme though.

I've colored the image with Copics in blues and yellows to match the papers and then cut it with Circle Nesties. I've stitched the papers with the sewing machine and then embellished with flowers and pearls. The bottom layer has little pennants which were created with paper, eyelets, and twine. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps digital sentiment set "Emma Swinging" designed by Raindrop Echo Designs. I cut the sentiment with a label punch from SU! and added some pearl accents.

Here is a close up of the front of the card...
This card fits the challenges at:
Digi Doodle Shop's Best  - anything goes
Dutch Dare Card Challenge  - sparkle/glitter/bling
Paper Crafting Journey  - anything goes
Samuel Taylor's Challenge  - use Copic or Promarkers
Sassy Studio Designs  - use a punch

Thanks so much for joining us today, to continue hopping please stop over at Erin's Blog and see the beautiful creation she has in store for you! If you don't have time to hop today, no worries, the hop runs from now until February 25th at 10pm MST. For a chance to win the prize you must leave comments on all the DT blogs and then a random winner will be drawn for the prize at the end of the hop along with a couple of random drawings from other DT blogs. And for a second way to win, visit the Digi Bells blog for details on entering your own "Summer Time Fun" creation! Winners will be announced on the Digi Bells blog on the 26th.

Have a wonderful weekend! Happy Hopping!

Winter's Joy

Happy Tuesday!

Hope you're having a great week! We've been busy getting back into the routine of life since our holiday vacation. Slowly but surely things are returning back to normal. Hope you are finding your way back to normal too.

Today I want to share a card I created using the Whimsy Stamp's Winter's Joy from our Crissy Armstrong Collection. This is my first time coloring her up, but I know it won't be my last!

I decided I wanted to make a Valentine's themed card with pink and red so I took out my new Bo Bunny papers, thanks Janna! The edges have been stitched on the sewing machine and I've used the sketch from this week's Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge. I've colored the image with Copics and then framed with Oval Nesties. Then added some glittery touches with Stickles. I've finished off with flowers, sticky pearls, a glitter heart and button with a sentiment from the Friendship Ticket set.

This card also fits the challenges over at:
Papertake Weekly...Anything Goes
Bunny Zoe's Crafts ....Sparkle and Shine
Crafty Emma...Anything Goes
Stamp Insanity....Sparkle
Sentimental Sundays...Friendship
Sundays with Crissy...Winter is Here

Thanks so much for dropping by today! Hope you have a fabulous afternoon!

Anything Goes with Glitter

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

And Happy New Year's Eve! Hope you all have a very safe and happy celebration tonight and a happy and healthy New Year ahead!

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something. We had taken last week off so it's nice to be starting fresh after the holidays with 2 new challenges! The challenge this week at JM is "Anything Goes" and at SS it's "Something with Glitter" so I've decided to create one card and combine the challenge themes.

At JM we are changing things up a bit! Starting with this challenge, technically our last of 2010 and first of 2011, we are going to be using Magnolias and now also hAnglar and stAnglar stamps! So from this point forward you can participate in the challenges with either a Magnolia or hAnglar image on your creation! As I don't really have any hAnglars, yet, I have used this sweet "Sneaky Tilda" on my card today.

I started out with the sketch from last week's Friday Sketchers challenge and paired that with BG Marjolaine papers. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and also added some glittery touches to some paper edges. The image was colored with Copics and then cut out and adhered to the framed circle and then I added more glitter. I've embellished with pearls, ribbon, a charm, and flowers.

This card also fits at:
Moving Along with the Times: Birthdays and Circles
Paper Sundaes: Cut it Out

Glitter Text - http://www.glittertextlive.com
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you will stop by over at JM and SS to check out my fellow DT member creations and maybe even play along this week too! Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy New Year!

That would be #40 - Tracey! Congrats to you Tracey! Please contact me to claim your prize!

Now for a card to share too...this is one using the new Whimsy Stamp "I'd Follow You Anywhere" and I just love it! I've been afraid to color this one as I'm not great with the white polar bear coloring, but I've been visiting Crissy's blog and getting some inspiration. You MUST stop by and see her gorgeous cards, you will be happy you did!

I've used some Bo Bunny Tis the Season papers with stitching and glitter on the edges. The image was colored with copics and a white gel pen, then I added more glitter accents. I've embellished with a glitter heart cut from a die and the Big Shot, some snowflakes and gems, and ribbon. The sentiment is from Whimsy's Love Letter Seals.

Thanks again to all who entered my candy and big congrats again to Tracey! Hope you all have a great Thursday!

One for Fun

Please scroll down or click HERE to enter my Thank You blog candy - Open until December 30th!

Good Morning All!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! We had a lovely Christmas and Santa spoiled us good! And yesterday we were snowed in with a blizzard so everything is white and pretty! Now getting back into the normal routine, well that is taking some time! lol

I did do some crafting yesterday, it felt good to get crafty. My resolution this year will be to take a few minutes each day and do something for me - hopefully crafting. We'll see if I can stick to that! What are your resolutions this year?

Elisabeth Bell is holding a GDT call for her digital stamp line and I love her stamps, so I thought I would make a card and give it a shot. It's been a long time since I've tried out for a design call, but I want to get motivated in the New Year to do more with my crafting so I thought this was a good way to start!Plus it was fun just to create a card for fun.

This is my card using the digital image "Ginnie, Gliding with Butterflies" isn't she sweet! I was in the mood for a non-Christmas card and a chance to use some new Bo Bunny papers. The papers have been stitched on the sewing machine and then I used the sketch from the Digi Bells DT call. There were two options for the sketch and I think this one fit the image better. I've printed the image on Neenah paper and then colored with Copics. The card has been embellished with sticky gems, ribbon, and flowers with some gem stamens.

This card also fits some challenges:
My Time to Craft: Brand New (this digi is new)
Die Cut Dreams: Girlie
Allsorts: Anything Goes

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you have a great Tuesday!

A Sketch and A Pocket

Morning!

Happy Friday to you! Can you believe that we are about a week away from Christmas! Guess I better get my shopping done! Today being Friday also means new challenges over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something and this week both challenges will run for two weeks.

Our challenge this week at JM is a fabby sketch by our talented Mina! And it's one that I am sure I will use again. Be sure you include a Magnolia image on your card to be eligible for the prize which this week is sponsored by 7 Kids College Fund.

A couple of months ago I got these beautiful new Curio papers fro BG but I had yet to use them, so I broke those out for this card. I've distressed the edges with scissors and went for a vintage feel for this card. I colored the image with Copics and then cut her out and adhered her to a dry embossed layer. I've embellished with ribbon and lots of flowers and some pearls. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and was framed with vanilla hodgepodge from SU.

This card also fits at:
Magnolia Down Under: Red, brown, cream

At SS this week we are asking you to create "Something with a pocket or a tag" and we are being sponsored by Whiff Of Joy stamps!

For this card, I started with the Holiday Folly papers from Whimsy Stamps and then stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The pocket was created with my Big Shot and a Sizzix die and then I added the image to a tag to cover the tag and pocket challenge! The image was colored with copics and then highlighted with glitter. I finished up with some pearls, ribbon, and snowflakes. The sentiment is from Whimsy's Winter Letter Seals.

This card fits at:
Cute Card Thursday: One for the Kids
Copic Creations: Sparkle
Going Grey: Make it a tag
PaperKutz: Snowflake or Snowman
The Pink Elephant: Winter Wonderland
Stamptacular Sunday: Winter Wishes
Totally Gorjuss: Snow

Thanks so much for dropping on by today. Hope you have a lovely weekend and get all those final holiday preparations done. If you missed our Whimsy Stamps-KennyK release yesterday, you can hop with us until December 23rd for a chance to win all 8 of the new KennyK rubber stamps! Click HERE to hop!

Have a great day!

A Holiday Color Combo with Some Sparkle

Happy Friday!

Doing the happy dance that the weekend is almost here! It's been a busy week and I am tired! Hoping to get my holiday shopping started this weekend too. Starting to sweat it here as I've not done anything yet and we are what 22 days away now! Hope you all have some fun things planned for your weekend.

Today brings new challenges to both Just Magnolia and Stamp Something! We hope you will visit and play along with us this week, great prizes to win for both of these challenges. I have decided to combine the challenges for one card as time has been tight lately. The challenge at JM this week is our special monthly challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and the theme is Anything Goes or Sparkle! Yep, you guessed it, I went with the sparkle! And over at SS our challenge is to use your favorite holiday color combo, so pretty easy to do with the holidays fast approaching. Our sponsor at SS this week is Kut4U!

I went with the color combo of blue and red from these beautiful Bo Bunny papers. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then sprayed all the layers with glimmer mist. The image was colored with copics and then cut out and glued to the snowflake embossed white layer. I've embellished with ribbon, eyelets, snowflakes and gems, a heart with twinklets, and a Happy Holidays ticket from Whimsy with more twinklets.

This card also fits these challenges:

Good Morning!

Happy Monday! Can you believe only 1 more day and it's December!? I have yet to do any holiday shopping either, yikes! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend if you celebrated Thanksgiving. It was another weekend that flew on by. Before we know it, Christmas will be here!

And speaking of Christmas, I have created another holiday card to share with you today. I still have quite a few I need to make for this year's Christmas list, so you'll be seeing more holiday themed cards in the days and weeks to come. How are your holiday cards coming along? I find them to be some of the most fun to create.

This is a Whiff of Joy gnome which has been colored with Copics and then framed with Oval Nesties. I have used some Bo Bunny papers and then added faux stitching with a white gel pen to all the red card stock layers. The final touches were some polka dotted organdy ribbon, a tag with a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps Winter Letter Seals set, more ribbon, and flowers.

Just Magnolia - A Sketch

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

So who is out shopping today and taking advantage of all the "Black Friday" sales and specials? Did you get up before dawn? I have never done that, not brave enough I guess! Not sure what our plans are today, but we have no work and no school, so it should be great! Hope you have a lovely Friday!

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia! This week we have a fab sketch by our talented DT member Donalda. I know this is one sketch I will be using again too, thanks Donalda! Be sure you also use a Magnolia image when playing along!

I have created another holiday card. I think these are my most favorite cards to make. I have been having so much fun with all the beautiful holiday papers and stamps and embellishments. I think I will be sad when the holiday season is over! For this card I used Hanging Tilda and colored her in red and white and then added some snowy glitter to her little treat pouch. The papers are Bo Bunny and I've embellished with snowflake die cuts, glitter, and a big red rose.

This card also fits the challenges at:
A Spoonful Of Sugar - anything goes
Paper Take Weekly - cut it out
Stamps R Us - sparkle and scallops
Crafty Pad - red and gree
Simon Says Stamp - Let It Snow

Thanks for coming on by today. We hope to see you over at Just Magnolia. And remember the Stamp Something challenge from last week is a two week challenge, so no new challenge this week, but still plenty of time to enter!  Have a great weekend!

Thankful and White

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

It's been another busy week, but I did manage to make a couple of cards for Just Magnolia and Stamp Something this week. I was sad to miss out last week, so I made sure to take a break this week and get some crafting done. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend too and hoping to craft a bit more!

Our challenge at Stamp Something this week is "thankful somethings" in honor of the upcoming US Thanksgiving holiday next week. We are also running this challenge for 2 weeks, so you have plenty of time to enter. The prize this week is a $20 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!

For my card I have used a bunch of Whimsy Stamps products, starting with the new Holiday Folly papers created by Ann and Crissy. They are beautiful and perfect for holiday/winter creations. I stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist and added some Stickles dots too. The image is N'ice Friends illustrated by Crissy from our winter collection last year. I've colored with Copics and then highlighted with some Twinklets (thanks Erin!). I embellished this card with beautiful snowflakes created with our new Whimsy Shapeology Die Winter's Jewel 1, created by Crissy. I love how intricate and delicate this snowflake is. I cut them from white card stock and then covered with Star Dust stickles (which you can buy at Simon Says). The ticket was cut with our new Shapeology Ticket Die and the blank ticket from the Holiday Ticket Set and "thank you" from Oval Snippets.

This card also fits challenges at:
Allsorts - sketch
Fab 'n' Funky - forgotten stamp or digi
Paper Pretties - thank you
Simon Says Stamp - sparkle
Stampin' Royalty - patterned paper
Caardvarks - holiday cards using die cuts
Creative Card Crew  - give thanks

Next up is my card for the new JM challenge and this week we want to see lots of White with only one other color. You can color your image with other colors, but please limit your papers and embellishments to only white and one other color. And be sure to use a Magnolia image to qualify for the prize this week.

I went with a red and white combo and used SU whisper white card stock which was embossed with the snowflakes folder and Big Shot. Then I added some polka dot paper from my Bo Bunny stash. The holiday wish list BG is from Whimsy Stamps. I've stitched all the paper edges and then used some nesties to frame my image. The image was colored with copics and highlighted with stickles. I've embellished with snowflakes, gems, and ribbon.

This card fits at:
ABC Challenge - holidays
Creative Cottage - for someone special at Christmas
Anything Goes - Let it Snow
Flourishes - Christmas
Critter Sketch - texture
Little Paper Shop - die cuts
Paper Playtime - use something you love (polka dot ribbon, snowflake embossing folder)

Thanks so much for stopping by this Friday. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Fisher Moose

Happy Tuesday All!

Hope your week is off to a good start. I actually had time yesterday to make some cards! Been a while since I had time for myself, so I really enjoyed it. Today over at Whimsy we have a special Meljen's Designs digital release. Melissa created some super cute images and sentiments in honor of her Dad and some of his favorite things!

I chose to make a card with this new image called Fisher Moose. He's adorable and perfect for masculine cards. I think I will send this one to my stepdad who is recovering from arm surgery. He's an avid fisherman and should appreciate this one!

I colored the image with Copics and then distressed the edges and used a piercing tool to make the faux stitching. The papers are BG Oliver and have also been distressed. I accented with some eyelets and hemp twine and a fish charm. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Ticket Sentiments and I cut it out with the new Ticket Die.

This card fits the challenges at:
Gingerloft - great outdoors
Sew Many Cards - DIGI STAMP and blue & white
Stamp Something - use something digi
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - cards for men
Pixie Dust Studio - cards for men or boys
Freshly Brewed - 2 or more patterned paper
Simon Says Stamp - Prince Charming
Meljen's Designs: Food (worms are fish food and fish can be eaten)

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you have a super Tuesday! I hope to have more crafting time and something else to share tomorrow. We shall see! lol

A Sketch and Some Beads

Happy Friday All!

Woo Hoo another weekend almost here! It's been another crazy busy week here so I am really looking forward to a bit of down time with my family. Hoping to take the kids to see Megamind this weekend too. Hope you have something fun and relaxing planned too.

Today is new challenge day over at just Magnolia and Stamp Something. And because of lack of time this week, I've combined the challenges again and have only created one card. Good news is, you can do the same! Just remember you must use a Magnolia image to enter the JM challenge.

Our challenge at Just Magnolia is the special monthly challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. We would like to see "Anything Goes" and/or the option of some beads on your creation. And then over at Stamp Something we have a pretty simple sketch for you to use.

I created this card last night after making my card from yesterday so the papers were already out and on hand. These are Bo Bunny and I've also embossed with the snowflakes folder on the white layer. I've used the SS sketch as is, but have embellished quite a bit with some pearls, flowers, ribbon, and a snowflake. The image was colored with Copics to match the papers and then cut out and popped up on foam tape on the snowflake pattern. I also sprayed everything with glimmer mist, but that's hard to see in the photo.

This card fits the challenges at:
Paper Romance - lots of whatever you want (lots of flowers and pearls here)
Creative Cottage (2 weeks) - embossing
Freshly Brewed - anything goes, optional sketch
ABC Christmas - Christmas cards with white
Anything Goes - Something with the Letter B - (blue)
Paper Play (2 entries) - circles

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
