Last Digi Bells Project

Morning All and Happy Monday!

It's another cold and dreary day here. We are suppose to get rain later too, which will make a mess out of all the snow we got this weekend. I am so ready for Spring. Who's with me? lol Hope you have a great day and that the sun is shining where you are!

Today I want to share my last creation for my GDT spot with the Digi Bells. I've enjoyed my time working with the talented ladies on the DT and getting a chance to work with all of these sweet Elisabeth Bell digital stamps. Big thanks to everyone for having me!

For this card I wanted to go with a soft color palette and incorporate some new papers from Prima.. These are from the Jack and Jill pack, which is beautiful. I've kept the layout simple to showcase the image. I've colored the image with Copics in neutrals, greens, and blues. The card was embellished with ribbon, a brad, sticky pearls, flowers, and a sentiment from the Postage Stamp Sentiments and was cut with the Postage Stamp Die, both from Whimsy Stamps.

This card fits challenges at:
I Did It Creations - Punches or Dies
Sentimental Sundays - SENTIMENT and anything goes
Crazy 4 Challenges - Flowers
Little Claire's - Anything Goes
One Stop Craft - Spring Flowers

Thanks so much for stopping on by today. I hope you have a great day and if I don't see you tomorrow - be sure to stop by the Whimsy Inspirations Blog for the new digital release hop! Crissy has created the cutest new character - you don't want to miss it!

February Digi Bells Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the February Digi Bells Blog Hop!

This month Elisabeth Bell has released a super cute summer themed image called "Little Best Friends" and you can purchase it now from Elisabeth's Digital Gallery! Today the Digi Bells Design Team is hosting this blog hop to share ideas using the new image. We hope you enjoy the hop today!

If you are joining me from Patricia's Blog, you are in the right place, but if you have just stumbled on the hop today and would like to participate, please go back to the Digi Bells blog to start the hop from the beginning.

For my project today I've created an easel card and paired it with some yellow and blue papers for a sunshine/sky theme. These are from SU!, but I believe they are long retired now. They work great with this image and the summer theme though.

I've colored the image with Copics in blues and yellows to match the papers and then cut it with Circle Nesties. I've stitched the papers with the sewing machine and then embellished with flowers and pearls. The bottom layer has little pennants which were created with paper, eyelets, and twine. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps digital sentiment set "Emma Swinging" designed by Raindrop Echo Designs. I cut the sentiment with a label punch from SU! and added some pearl accents.

Here is a close up of the front of the card...

A Vintage Tag

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are having a good week. It was nice and warm here on Monday and the snow started to melt, but then got super cold again on Tuesday. I don't like Mother Nature teasing us like that! lol Hope it's starting to warm up where you are!

Today I have a simple project to show you that I created with a piece of chipboard. I have been wanting to use this sweet "Tasty Read" image from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection and so what better project than on a bookmark although I think I will use this as a gift tag.

I've used some Graphic 45 papers, which I love! I have been using them like crazy lately. The bottom layer is actually a piece of My Minds Eye with text on it and then I layered on the floral Graphic 45 piece. I've added some lace and ribbon and a button with a safety pin accent. I've also embellished with flowers and sticky gems.
The image was colored with copics and then cut out and adhered to the tag. I finished off with a Whimsy Stamps postmark from the Postage Sentiment set and then a sentiment from the Graphic 45 paper pack and adhered that with some button brads.

This card fits at:
A Spoonful Of Sugar  - Anything but a card
Bunny Zoe's Crafts  - Spring - flowers Everywhere!
Simon Says Stamp and Show... - A Tag!
Little Claire's - Anything Goes
Our Creative Corner - feature some kind of cutting technique

Thanks so much for stopping over today. I hope you have a great day! And if you are a fan of Elisabeth's work, be sure to join me on Friday when I participate in the new February digital stamp release hop!

Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge

Hi All!

Hope you are having a great week. Things have been rather hectic here, one thing after the other as they say, so this is going to be a very quick post and I apologize. I hope you all have a great day!

There is a brand new challenge posted on the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog today and the theme this month is "Alter-It" and then using any Elisabeth Bell image to compliment your project. I've decided to alter a notebook and I've used the WOJ image of Willow Blowing Kisses.

As you can see, I've covered the notebook with a soft pink polka dot paper from My Minds Eye. Then I tied ribbons to each of the spirals on the edging of the notebook. I also added a second layer of paper with lace border punch edging details, more ribbon and a pearl brad. On top, I've added a covered chipboard heart, lots of pretty flowers and pearls and then finished off the bottom with a sentiment from the Whimsy Handmade Letter Seals set.

The image was colored with Copics and then I cut it out with the Magnolia tag die and adhered it to the notebook with ribbons and a heart charm.

This project fits the challenges at:
Crafty Cardmakers - Floral
Magical Mondays  - Flowers
Crafty Pad - Girly
Let's Ink It Up - NO DIGI and Anything Goes
Blackleaf Studios - anything but a card, Valentine's day
Gem Of A Challenge -Ribbon and Lace
Really Reasonable Ribbon - ribbon and hearts
Fairy Tale - flowers
Totally Papercrafts - add a heart

Thanks so much for dropping by today. If you are up for a challenge head on over to the EBW challenge blog and join us! I know the DT gals have some gorgeous altered items to share with you too! Hope you have a great few days. I will be back on Friday, I hope! Until then....

Digi Bells New Release Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Digi Bells New Release Blog Hop to showcase Elisabeth Bell's latest digital image! If you are just joining me from Kiki's blog you are in the right place. However, if you are just now stumbling onto the hop today, you will want to stop back over to the Digi Bells Blog to start the hop!

The new image being released today is called "My Prince" and it's adorable and perfect for any "love" themed creations you might have this Valentine's season! For the hop we all had the theme of candy to keep in mind when creating our projects and so I've created both a card and a candy treat holder.

First up is my treat holder, which I used a tutorial on SCS to create. It was very easy and one I think I will definitely make one again. I am thinking Valentine teacher gifts!

I made the box with pink card stock and then decorated with Fancy Pants Valentine's paper. I cut the window with Nesties Labels 10 and then used the cut outs to make the tag. I've embellished with flowers, pearls, a tag and safety pin, ribbon and some flower gem stamens. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps "Love Letter Seal" sentiments. The image was printed, colored with copics, and then cut with Circle Nesties. I filled my treat box with Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate and Raspberry squares. YUMMY!

Next is the matching card this time using the full image...

The image was colored with copics and then I added lots of glittery accents. Every little princess must be covered in glitter! This image reminds me of the girl in Princess and the Frog who wants only to marry a prince. My daughter loves that movie and we just watched it the other night actually. I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, pearls, and a heart charm. The papers are the same Fancy Pants from the treat box.

Here is a photo of the matching set....

These projects fit the challenges at:
Crafty Cardmakers - Use red and a die cut
Cupcake Craft - Something New
Kaboodle Doodles  - do it with Digis
Karber Weekly - DIGI STAMP and Pearls

Stamping Scrapping Central  - flowers
Woodware USA - Hearts

Thanks so much for stopping by today. The next stop on our hop is the talented Janiel! Be sure to hop on over and see what she has to share with you today! And if you don't have time to hop today, this hop will be open until Friday, January 21st at 10pm MT. There are prizes to be won and a little "chocolate" challenge too if you are up for it! Head over to the Digi Bells Blog for all the details on how to enter to win!

Happy hopping!

One for Fun

Please scroll down or click HERE to enter my Thank You blog candy - Open until December 30th!

Good Morning All!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! We had a lovely Christmas and Santa spoiled us good! And yesterday we were snowed in with a blizzard so everything is white and pretty! Now getting back into the normal routine, well that is taking some time! lol

I did do some crafting yesterday, it felt good to get crafty. My resolution this year will be to take a few minutes each day and do something for me - hopefully crafting. We'll see if I can stick to that! What are your resolutions this year?

Elisabeth Bell is holding a GDT call for her digital stamp line and I love her stamps, so I thought I would make a card and give it a shot. It's been a long time since I've tried out for a design call, but I want to get motivated in the New Year to do more with my crafting so I thought this was a good way to start!Plus it was fun just to create a card for fun.

This is my card using the digital image "Ginnie, Gliding with Butterflies" isn't she sweet! I was in the mood for a non-Christmas card and a chance to use some new Bo Bunny papers. The papers have been stitched on the sewing machine and then I used the sketch from the Digi Bells DT call. There were two options for the sketch and I think this one fit the image better. I've printed the image on Neenah paper and then colored with Copics. The card has been embellished with sticky gems, ribbon, and flowers with some gem stamens.

This card also fits some challenges:
My Time to Craft: Brand New (this digi is new)
Die Cut Dreams: Girlie
Allsorts: Anything Goes

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you have a great Tuesday!
