Whimsy Sneak Peek - Some Wishes

Hello and Happy Monday!

Happy Memorial Day to those in the USA and a BIG HUGE thanks to all the men and women, who serve in our armed forces, for their dedication and sacrifice to our country and for our freedom!

Today I have a quick post to share with you a sneak peek at one of the new images for our Whimsy Stamps Digital Collection. This image is called Maya Making Wishes and she was created by Crissy Armstrong. This new image and many, many more will be releasing tomorrow at Noon EST!

I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday with some BG Kioshi papers. After I made my card last Friday using this pretty green and blue paper, I knew I wanted to make another card with it. I love this combo! I've colored my image with Copics and used Crissy's video tutorial for coloring dark skin tones. I've never colored a darker skin image, but for my first attempt I think she turned out pretty well. Crissy's video was very helpful too. I also used Crissy's dotty background technique to add some fun accents as well as to hide a few boo boos of ink bleeding. Ooops! To finish my card I embellished with flowers, cherry blossom. ribbon, a charm, and some sticky pearls and gems in black.

This card also fits the challenges at:
The Pink Elephant: Gotta Wear Shades
Totally Gorgeous: Wings
Sunday's with Crissy: Layers
Cupcake Craft: Summer Delights

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you have a great afternoon! See you back here tomorrow at Noon EST for our new release celebration! Be sure to visit the other Whimsy DT blogs for more sneak peeks too!

Before I go...I'll leave you with a little giggle too....

"I think I'm stuck...now what?"

Hot or Spicy Recipe

Morning!

Happy Friday! This week has been crazy busy, so I am THRILLED that the weekend is almost here. It's a long weekend here in the States too as we celebrate Memorial Day. Looking forward to 3 days off! Hope you have a great weekend and some fun things planned!

Today I have 2 cards to share with you. One for Just Magnolia and the other for Stamp Something. But before I get to those, I want to announce the winner of my Stamp Something blog hop candy. Thanks to all who entered and hopped with us for the past week. We appreciate all the support and continued participation in the challenges. I also wanted to say a HUGE thanks to my partner in crime, Erin for all the fun we've had these past 2 years! It's been a great ride and I'm happy that we've shared it together! Hugs!

The winner of my prize, as chosen by random.org is...
Here are your random numbers:
80
Timestamp: 2010-05-27 23:20:54 UTC

That would be #80 - Kona Jamie
Congrats Jaime! Please contact me with your mailing info and I'll get that out to you ASAP!

Now for some cards...
Our challenge this week at Just Magnolia is Hot or Spicy. We'd like you to interpret this in your own way, but some ideas are hot colors, summery colors/images, spicy colors/images, etc. Please remember to use a Magnolia image to qualify for the blog candy prize.

I decided to go with hot and used some summery colors and papers. I love this sweet image and I thought she would be perfect in purple. So I've colored her with Copics and then added some Stickles accents. The papers are BG Koishi in pretty purples and greens with a floral design, which I think is great for a summery feel. I've used the sketch from Stamp with Fun. The edges have been punched with a SU! border punch and I've embellished with ribbon, pearls, cherry blossoms, and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits the challenge at:
Your Next Stamp: Use a border punch

And now I have my card for Stamp Something. This week we have a fun recipe challenge for you and it fits our month long birthday theme too. We'd like to see you use designer paper, ribbon, a bow, and a tag. Kind of like wrapping a present!

I got this sweet stamp from my friend Janna for my birthday and thought she would be perfect for this challenge. I was inspired by Dena's card over at Colour Create and decided to use the Colour Create challenge too. The challenge was soft green and light aqua, so pretty aren't they! And this BG Koishi paper was a perfect match for the challenge too. I've used the sketch from Lili of the Valley and embellished it a bit. I've also done some dry embossing on the white layer behind the image and on the top half of the card. I've embellished with stitched edges, sticky gems, ribbon/bow, cherry blossoms, roses and a tag sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Charisma Cardz: Circles
Delightful Challenges: Texture
Quixotic Challenges: Emboss It

Well, thanks for visiting today. I hope you have a great Friday and a fabulous weekend! Be sure to check back here on Tuesday for a new Whimsy Stamps Digital Stamp release! Lots of fun new images and sentiments will be available at Noon EST!

Until then....

Happy Stamping,

One for Fun

Afternoon All!

Hope you're having a great day. The weather is beautiful here, sun is shining and the temps have cooled a bit. It was super hot yesterday, almost 100 degrees! It's normally nowhere near that hot here in May.

I've been busily crafting away the morning today and so I have a card to share with you now. I'll make this a quick post as I need to get some work done too.

I saw the sketch on Friday Sketchers earlier this week and knew that I wanted to try it. So I paired that with some Comso Cricket papers and this sweet Sarah Kay stamp. I've colored the image with Copics and then framed it with an oval nestie. The paper edges have been stitched on the sewing machine and then torn and distressed slightly. I've embellished with roses and sticky pearls.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great afternoon and evening. See you back here tomorrow for the new Just Magnolia and Stamp Something challenges as well as the winner of my Stamp Something blog hop candy. If you've not entered, you still have time!

Pixie Cottage - Sketch and Tag/Pocket

Happy Wednesday!

Today there is a brand new challenge posted at The Pixie Cottage and this week we have the super duper talented Bev of All the Things I Love, as our special guest! Bev has created a fabulous sketch to work with for this challenge as always, we have a theme too. This week you can use the sketch or the theme of tag or pocket or you can of course do both!

I've chosen to only use the sketch this week. My brain was on over load the other day with the heat and I couldn't manage to work out a pocket or tag on this one.

I've used the new image, Bunny with Roses, but Diane Carubia. I thought she was sweet and looked perfect with this pretty BG Green at Heart paper. I've used some Razzleberry and Olive card stock and added some paper piercing details. The image was colored with Copics and then I added some Stickle accents. I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, and sticky gems.

Thanks for dropping by today. If you have some time to play along, we'd love to see you over at The Pixie Cottage!

Happy Stamping,

Celebrations

Good Morning!

Well it's another scorcher here so I'm not sure how much crafting I'll get done today. Hoping to get a little blog hopping in though. I hope it's nice where ever you are and that you're enjoying this lovely Tuesday!

Today, Whimsy Stamps is helping to sponsor the challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar and some of our DT members are also Guest Designing, me included. Spoon Full is celebrating their 2 year blogoversary and there are fun prizes and a pretty fun challenge too, just create something with a theme of celebration!

I've created a fun and cheerful happy birthday card using the stamp Water Lily from Whimy's Mythical Collection.

I just got some BG Ambrosia papers so I thought I'd give them a go with this image. I love the red and orange combo and the pretty butterflies on this paper. I've used the sketch from Sketch and Stash for this card with my neglected stash being the buttons and clip for the sentiment.

The image was colored with Copics and then I added some Stickle details to her wings and watering can water. I've stitched all the edges on the papers with the sewing machine and then embellished with flowers, buttons, and ribbons. The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits the challenges at:
BG Challenges: Punch It (tag for the sentiment)
The Pink Elephant: Orange

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you have a great day!

Special Image and Request

Happy Monday!

Wow is it hot here! Is it hot where you are? I've had a busy day of errands and some work as well as some crafting although it's getting a little too hot to enjoy that anymore for today. Hoping for a bit cooler tomorrow, but I think it's actually going to be hotter. Not complaining after the winter we had!

Today I have a special card to share that uses a very special digital image! This card was created with the new digital freebie being offered at Whimsy Stamps. Crissy Armstrong created this sassy design in honor of our DT member Lisa's sister Jayme, who sadly was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Lisa has a special RAK request posted on her blog now with a great prize up for grabs. If you're a card maker and want to brighten someone's day, please make a card and send it off to Jayme!

You can visit the Whimsy Stamps store page to download this image or click HERE to go directly to the download. The file is a zip file so you will need to save it to your computer and then extract the files to be able to print and resize and flip the image.

This is my card using the new image Beach Baby Jayme....

I've gone with some fun colors in hot pink and orange and used some BG Green at Heart papers. I stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then embellished with ribbon and sticky gems. I wanted the image to be the focal point of this card so I've kept the design fairly simple. The image was colored with Copics and then I added a touch of Stickles here and there.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Sketch Saturday: sketch - Whimsy is sponsoring this challenge too!
Totally Gorjuss: Bling it On!
Sundays with Crissy: layers

I'll be sending this card off to Jayme tomorrow. I hope you will help Lisa and send some smiles to Jayme too! Have a great night, see you tomorrow!

For the Whimsy DT Call, CLICK HERE
For the Stamp Something Blog Hop, CLICK HERE ends next Thursday, 5/27 at 7pm EST

Happy Friday All!

Hope you've had a great week! Last night we posted our Stamp Something blog hop, so if you missed that, be sure to check it out! There are lots of sweet treats up for grabs! If you'd like to enter for my candy, please click HERE!

Today I have my Stamp Something and Just Magnolia challenge cards to share with you. First, I'll share my Stamp Something card. Our challenge this week is "2 of Something," since we're celebrating our 2 year anniversary, we figured this theme would be appropriate. You can get creative with this one, but here are some ideas...2 images, 2 papers, 2 embellishments, etc.

Our challenge this week is sponsored by Karen's Doodles. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to get an image from her for this one, so I've used the new Party Pony stamp from Whimsy Stamps. This stamp worked great for the theme too since there are 2 balloons in the image.

I used some new BG Capella papers and colored the image to match. My card is fairly simple and very girlie. For my 2 of something, I've also used 2 lace borders both punched 2 times, 2 cherry blossoms each with 2 roses and 2 leaf punch accents, and then of course the 2 balloons in the image, which I've already mentioned. I also accented with some distressed inks and stickles. We have more birthdays soon, so this card will be perfect.

This card also fits the challenges at:
KL Stampin: show animals some love
CRAFT Challenge: Birthdays
Creative Inspirations: Card for a Child
Going Grey Challenge: Child Theme

Next is my card for Just Magnolia and this week we have a fun sketch designed by our talented Jane! Please remember to pair this sketch with a Magnolia image to be eligible for the prize.

Ann was kind enough to send me some stamped images for my birthday and this was one of them. I just adore this Ballerina Tilda! I've colored her in blues to match my Capella papers. I can't get enough of these pretty papers! I've used Jane's sketch but flipped it to fit my image. I've stitched the edges of my papers with the sewing machine and then embellished with ribbon, metal ribbon slide, brads, and some flowers and stickles. On a personal note, this card is for my sister who will be doing her first ballet recital since stopping a few years ago to have her daughter! Good luck Allie!

This card also fits the challenges at:
Crafty Creations: Encouragement/Celebrations
Stampavie and More: Flower Power
Sweet Stampin Challenge: Get Personal

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. Hope you'll join in our challenges this week! Have a great weekend!

We so very much appreciate the time and energy you all put into your creations each week and we are thrilled that you choose to share them with us at Stamp Something!

We'd also like to thank our blog candy sponsors! Without each and every one you, Stamp Something would not be what it is today. And a special thank you goes out to Heidi and her team, from our monthly sponsor Simon Says Stamp. Heidi and Simon Says provide so much for this stamping community!

Our blog hop today is sponsored by Simon Says and there is a fabulous $20 gift certificate up for grabs! And some of our design team members also have candy chances on their blogs too! We hope you will hop with us today and tell your friends too! This is a fun celebration and we hope you enjoy it!

I've used this new Fairy Dust Tilda with and have sat her on top of a cupcake to fit our theme. The papers are BG Eva with the sketch from Everybody-Art Challenge, although now that I look at it, I've flipped it and changed the circle to an oval, so it's not really a good representation of the original sketch. I've added some ribbon, sticky gems, stickles, and flowers to embellish this card. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Papertake Weekly: Say it with Flowers
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Cute and Girlie
La La Land: Birthday cards
Ohh La La Creations: Bright and Cheerful
Allsorts: Birthdays

sticky gems
ribbons in purple, green, and white

If you would like to enter for a chance to win this prize pack, please leave a direct link to your blog using the linky feature below. Our hop will run until Thursday, May 27th at 7pm EST. Pixie Cottage - Sketch and Paper Tole

For the Whimsy Stamps blog hop, please click HERE!

Good Morning!

Today is Wednesday and that means a brand new challenge over at The Pixie Cottage! This week we have a fun and easy to use sketch along with the theme of Paper Tole, which is another word for 3D elements. As always you can do the sketch, the theme, or both to enter this challenge. We hope you'll join us this week!

For my card I've used both the sketch and theme and paired that with the stamp Hannah with Butterflies. I've colored the image with Copics, paper pieced the dress and hair bow, and then popped up a couple of the butterflies. I've also added some Stickles to accent the butterflies.

I've paired the sketch with some new BG Cappella papers. I stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then added some Antique Linen ink to the edges of the pink papers. I also crumpled and tore the edges on the designer paper. I've embossed the 2 squares and then added some flowers, stickles, and sticky pearls to finish off this card. There was a piece of ribbon on the sketch, but I couldn't find the right shade in my stash to match these papers, so I left it out.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Totally Gorjuss: Round and Round
Pile It On!: photo inspiration
Pixie Dust: Cut it Out
Clearly I Stamp: Flowers
Prairie Fairy: Flowers
Our Daily Bread: Flowers
Crafty Catz: Petals and Pearls

Thanks for dropping by today, hope you have a lovely day. And if you're up for a challenge, head on over to The Pixie Cottage and join in the fun!

Whimsy Release Party

Hello and welcome to our new release party!!!

Today is new release day over at Whimsy Stamps and we are celebrating with a blog hop! Each of the Whimsy Designers will be sharing their creations using the new carousel horses Party Pony and Proud to Be and some will accent with our new sentiment set Ticket Sentiments! We hope you'll hop with us and take a look at these beautiful new stamps!

If you are joining me from Chris's blog you are in the right place, but if you've just stumbled upon our hop today, you'll want to hop back over to Crissy's blog so you don't miss out on any of the eye candy or prize chances along the way!

My creation today uses the new stamp Proud to Be and a sentiment from the ticket set. I love both of these new stamps! Proud to Be will make a great 4th of July or just for a fun celebration image and these new ticket sentiments are perfect for all occasions.

I started with the sketch from Sketch Saturday, but I did move the embellishments a tad to fit my design. The papers are a vintage distressed My Minds Eye with rustic stars on them. I've colored my image with Copics and then cut him out and glued him to an embossed piece of cream card stock. All of the papers have been stitched on the sewing machine and then distressed a bit with tearing and sponging on ink. I've embellished with star brads, linen ribbon and a grommet, a charm and twine, roses and Prima flowers. I finished off with the dream ticket and some sticky gem stars. I also sprayed my papers with Glimmer Mist, but it's hard to see in the photo.

This card also fits some challenges today...
Cupcake Craft: blooming and charming
Just Us Girls: patriotic colors
Little Red Wagon: Brads
Cooking it Up with Katie: Colors of a Charming Man

The next stop on our hop today is Lisa's blog! Hop on over and check out her fabulous creation!

Be sure to leave comments while hopping and link up in the linky features along the way as you just might be a lucky winner! Our hop will continue through the week, so you have plenty of time to join in the fun. The hop ends at Noon EST on Friday, May 21st and the winners of the prizes will be announced later that day. Rowena and Stacey will be offering up both of the new carousel horse sets and Ann and Bev will have some candy which will include the new Ticket Sentiment Set. So lots to see and prizes to be won!

Whimsy also has our May Challenge going on right now. There is a fabulous digital prize pack up for grabs and challenge run through the end of the month, so there is still plenty of time to enter. For me details and to join in the fun CLICK HERE!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope you have a wonderful afternoon!

Some Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday!

This week went by pretty quickly and I'm excited about the fact that it's already Friday! There are two fabulous new challenges over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something this week. I hope you'll play along with us and share your creations!

The challenge at Just Magnolia is One for the Girls! We want to see you grab those Tilda stamps and make your project nice and girlie! I loved this challenge and had a great time making my princess themed card for a birthday wish for one of my closest friend's daughter's birthday.

I started with a white on white plan, but then found some shiny sliver papers and added those in too. The designer paper is SEI and then I've embossed the sliver paper and layer behind the image to create my own DP. All the edges have been distressed and stitched on the sewing machine. I've colored Tilda with Copics and added lots of Stickles to her dress and accessories, then cut her out and popped her up with foam tape. I've embellished with a pin and pearls, ribbon, cherry blossoms and a gardenia, and sticky pearls.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Papertake Weekly: Shiny, Sparkly, and Special
Paperplay Challenge: Bling and a stamp (late with the challenge)
Your Next Stamp: Cut it out and Pop it up!

Next, I have my card for our challenge at Stamp Something which is celebrate something! We are still in our month long birthday celebration so this week we want to see your projects that are a celebration of a special event. Our sponsor this week is Motivet and the DT have been given stamps to work with to complete their samples.

I've used this sweet image with a cake and have created a birthday card for my same friend's other daughter who also celebrates her birthday this month. I've used BG Kioshi papers and a purple and black combo. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday and I've embellished with lavender cherry blossoms, a gardenia, and Stickles. The sentiment is a sneak peek at a new set being released on Monday, May 17th at Whimsy Stamps! It's an entire set of ticket style sentiments which also includes an empty ticket to add your own sentiment too! We'll be having a new release hop on Monday, hope to see you then!

This card also fits the challenges at:
Going Grey: Animal Theme
Charisma Cards: Sweet Treats

Thanks for coming on over today! I hope you have a fabulous Friday and a really great weekend. Be sure to check out the Whimsy DT blogs over the next few days for a chance at some sneak peeks at our new stamp release!

One for Fun

Morning All!

Hope you're having a nice day today. The sun is shining this morning and I even had a chance to stamp already, so it's been a good day here so far. I do have some work to do, but I'm procrastinating while I enjoy the morning.

I've created this card today using some challenges for inspiration along with more Cappella BG papers. If you don't have these yet, they are a must have! So beautiful!

I used the sketch at Lili of the Valley for the layout on my card with cream and kraft card stock. The image is Summer Day Emma from Whimsy Stamps and she's been colored with Copics and then framed with oval nesties. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and distressed them a bit with scissors. I also stamped the swirl from Proud Momma along the edges of my paper with distressed ink. I've embellished with cherry blossoms and a gardenia, some lace from my stash, and a charm and beautiful spacers that I received as a birthday gift from my lovely friend Bev. Thanks so much sweetie, my beautiful card and gift arrived yesterday and they are fabulous!

This card also fits the challenges at:
ABC Challenge: U is for unused stash - lace trimming
La La Land: Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday: Someone Special

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a great day. I'll be back tomorrow with my challenge cards for Stamp Something and Just Magnolia. Hope you'll join me then!

Pixie DT and Challenge

Good Morning!

Happy Wednesday, another week half over already! Today is our challenge day over at The Pixie Cottage and this week we have a guest with us. Suzanne Dean has created a fabulous sketch for you to work with and you can combine it with our theme of vintage/distressed. As always you can do both the sketch and theme or one or the other to qualify for the prize. We hope you'll join us this week and share your creations!

I've created my card using both the sketch and theme along with a brand new Pixie Cottage stamp from new artist Di Carubia. The image I've used is called Whispering Maisy and Matt.

I started with Suzanne's sketch and use some papers in soft and neutral color tones. The edges have been distressed to fit the vintage theme. I embellished with satin and lace ribbon and some pearls and roses to also fit the theme. The image was colored with Copics and framed with circle nesties.

This card also fits the challenges at:
My Time to Craft: Tooo Cute
Die Cut Dreams: Shabby Chic
Lots to do Challenges: Friendship
Crafty Ann's Challenges: Anything Goes
Crafty Card Makers: Distressed
Whoopsi Daisy Challenges: As You Like It

Belles 'n Whistles DT Call

Good Morning!

Hope you're day is off to a good start. It's chilly here today, so I'm trying hard to warm up before I get to some crafting. Right now my fingers are so cold it's hard to type. Here's hoping that the sun will shine bright and warm everything up today.

Belles 'n Whistles is holding a DT call until tomorrow, May 12th. I adore all the images that Elisabeth Bell has created for B'nW so I thought why not give the call a try. I love doing design work and working with a variety of different images. I think all the options we have as stampers is why this hobby is so much fun! And even if the call doesn't work out for me, I still had fun making a pretty card with one of Elisabeth's beautiful images.

For my entry I've created a card using the image Sunshine and Apples from the red rubber collection. This image is so sweet and makes me think of warm summer days, which on this chilly morning, I hope are just around the corner.

I've created a card with a unique fold that I found on Camilla's blog. Her work is so inspiring! When I saw her card it made me instantly think of the new Cappella BG papers that just arrived the other day. I used some of those to create a vintage and distressed look. The card stock is cream and blue. The edges of my papers have been sewn on the machine and also sponged with some Antique Linen distressed ink. The image was colored with Copics and then framed with Oval Nesties. Please don't look too closely at my first attempt to sew in a circle....not the greatest attempt. Will need more practice with that. I've embellished with gardenias and roses in creams and blues to match these papers, some sticky pearls, and a sentiment. This sentiment is a sneak peek which I'll tell you more about later this week. I also added some stickles to the flowers to give them a touch of sparkle.

Here's a view of the card standing open...

And here's a link to my other Belles 'n Whistles creations.

Thanks for dropping by today. I'd like to wish all those who are entering this call good luck! Have a wonderful Tuesday!

We have lots of fun things planned including a blog hop and special prizes all month too! We hope you'll join in the fun and stamp something with us!

Our challenge theme this week is birthday somethings. You can create anything birthday related but please make sure it's something NEW, no back linking. Our sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy and the winner of the challenge will get to choose a new stamp from the Get Well Collection.

I've used the sketch from the Whiff of Joy challenge this week and some new SEI papers on my card. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The image was colored with Copics and then framed with oval nesties. I've embellished with gardenias and roses, some ribbons, and sticky pearls.

Next, I have my Just Magnolia card to share with you. This week's challenge is a fun one! We're calling it "It Takes Two," because we'd like to see you use 2 Magnolia images on your creation, not including sentiments/text stamps. Have fun with this, the possibilities are endless! This challenge is also our special monthly challenge which means it's being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!

I've used two of the new fairytale images on my card. Midsummer Tilda and the Prince Phillip frog. The layout is from the challenge at Magnolia Down Under and I've used some Wild Asparagus papers. The edges have been distressed and then I added some Stickles. I've embellished with a swirl of pearls, a gardenia, and some aster flowers and more Stickles.

Thanks for dropping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. And Happy Mother's Day to all those who will be celebrating this Sunday!

Happy Stamping,

New Whimsy Release Celebration

Happy Wednesday and Happy Whimsy Digi Release Day!

Welcome to our Whimsy Stamps new release celebration as we add 6 more images and 9 more sentiment sets to our Digital Stamp Collection! The Whimsy design team has been working really hard these last few days to share sneak peeks and create projects for our celebration today! We hope you've enjoyed what you've seen so far! And we hope you will take a few minutes to hop with us today and then stop over at our Whimsy Inspirations Blog and join in our new monthly challenge! There are prizes to be won and fun to be had during both the hop and challenge!

My blog is the first stop on our hop today and I've got a couple of cards to share with you. Both of my cards use images from our new artist, Melissa Jenkins, and her collection, Meljen's Designs! Meljen's Designs for Whimsy Stamps will be a fairytale collection of whimsical and fun digital designs, each created in Melissa's signature style!

Aren't these little piggies the cutest ever! These are Meljen's Designs Three Pigs. I had so much fun coloring them and I love that I could print them out in the size that fit my project. I've created a card using some Cosmo Cricket papers in some bright and cheerful colors to match this fun image. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and used an old sketch from Friday Sketchers for my layout. To finish off this card I added some buttons and hemp twine, a bit of Stickles for shimmer, and then a sentiment from the new Three Pigs Sentiments created by Raindrop Echo Designs to coordinate with this digital image.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Stamp with Fun: Friends
Secret Crafter: Friendship
Pile It On!: Boyish Colors
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Furry Friends

So that's my blog hop creation, hope it made you smile! Next I will share my challenge creation card, but before I get to that, I do want to give you the details for our next stop on the hop in case you are in a hurry to get hopping today!  Our hop is open until Tuesday, May 11th at Noon EST. We will draw one random winner from one of the Whimsy DT member blogs to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to our shop!  And there will also be a couple of mystery candies drawn from the DT blogs as well! So be sure to leave those comments on all the Whimsy Designers blogs! The next stop on the hop today is LISA! Happy Hopping!

Now on to my a card using the new Riding Hood image from Meljen's Designs at Whimsy Stamps. She's a darling and sweet image that was also lots of fun to color.  I made this card to fit our Monthly Whimsy Challenge! This month the challenge is to use this recipe to create a project:

Markers, Pretty Papers, Flowers, and a Whimsy Image (rubber or digital)

One lucky participant will win 5 digital stamps of her choice from our Whimsy Stamps Digital Collection! So we hope you will join in the fun and share some Whimsy with us today! The challenge will end on May 31st at Noon EST.

I've gone with a red and pink color combo and used some Cosmo Cricket papers and more stitching on the paper edges. I also distressed the edges on this card. The image was colored with Copics and highlighted with some Stickles. I've embellished with cherry blossoms and roses, both available at Whimsy Stamps, and some ribbons.

Thanks again for stopping by today! We hope you enjoyed our new release party hop and challenge! You can see all sorts of wonderful samples using these new images and sentiments along the hop and over at the Whimsy Inspirations Blog! Have a great day!

Happy Stamping,
