Gingerbread Fun!

Happy Monday All!

I can't believe another week is under way, the weekends are just too quick! Hope you enjoyed yours though!

I have a holiday themed card to share today. I've seen so many fabulous holiday cards lately, some people are even finished with their card lists for what they are mailing out this season. I haven't even really started, I need to get moving! I think Christmas is only about 40 days or so away, pretty crazy! I haven't started shopping yet either, big surprise!

Anyway, here's my card. I used this cute Rachelle Anne Miller image of a gingerbread man. He was easy to color and cut out, bonus! I added some CE and glitter to him too. I started to make this card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge, but it turned out a little different than the sketch. I like it though.

My cardstock colors are Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, White, and Baja Breeze. I ran the red through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. I tied ribbon around the olive piece, add the white and then mounted those to the red. I added some snowflakes with baja ink to the white piece.

The final touches are a clip, a Very Merry tag and a snowflake button all attached to the ribbon. Then I also added some "snow" to the bottom of the gingerbread man. The snow is a snow writer pen thing that I got at the craft store.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great Monday! Happy Stamping!! :)

Whiff of Joy - Thank You!

Happy Wednesday!

I want to share a card I made today using a new Whiff of Joy stamp. This image is from the Angels Collection by Elisabeth Bell, isn't she sweet! I don't want to give anything away here, but Katharina, the owner of Whiff of Joy, will be sponsoring one of the upcoming challenges on STAMP SOMETHING in October! You'll have to be sure to check in and play along, you never know what you might win!

So, for this card I started by coloring this image with watercolor wonder crayons and an aquapainter. Then I cut it out with my Coluzzle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities. Finally, I added crystal effects and glitter to her wings.

The printed papers are from Stampin' Up!'s new Parisan Summer DSP. The card base is Chocolate Chip cardstock. The embellishments are pewter hodgepodge, paper flowers, and grosgrain ribbon. I also paper pierced the edging.

Thanks for stopping in today! Hope you're having a nice week. Happy Stamping! :)

Cupcake Birthday

Hello All!

Boy, this has been a busy week at our house. My son is on to his 6th day of Kindergarten. It's been quite the adjustment for all of us. I can't wait until we find a new normal routine! Hope you're all having good week.

I have a card to share that I made for my sister for her birthday. I used an image I received from my blogging friend and fellow design team member, Emily. She made the cutest cards a while back using these images. She knew how much I liked them and she was kind enough to share some. Aren't they sweet! :)

I colored this image with watercolor pencils and an aquapainter. Then added crystal effects and glitter to create some textured frosting. The image is matted using my scalloped rectangle Nestabilities. The colors are Regal Rose and Rose Red. I embellished the card with wide grosgrain ribbon and silver hodgepodge, a paper flower and a dew drop, and finally a white gel pen. The other stamps used on this card are from Itty Bitty Backgrounds and Short and Sweet, both Stampin' Up! sets.

Thanks for visiting today, have a good day! Happy Stamping! :)

Little Flower Girl

Hello All!

I'm back from all of our family gatherings and the weekend wedding festivities. We had a great time visiting with family and friends and celebrating my brother's marriage. Now we're in recovery mode, trying to get things back to normal.

I did find time to take out my stamping stuff and got to work today creating. It felt great to stamp! I also placed an order for new Stampin' Up! goodies, but while I wait, I decided to work with other images.

This is one card I made using images my good friend Jo sent to me recently. I just love this sweet little girl, she's a Sugar Nellie.

I colored her in using watercolor wonder crayons and an aquapainter. Then highlighted areas with the white gel pen. The cardstock colors are Rose Red, Night of Navy, So Saffron, and Always Artichoke. The embellishments are pearls, taffeta ribbon, grosgrain ribbon, and styled silver hodgepodge. I also embossed the Saffron layer with the flower pattern and my Cuttle Bug.

Thanks for looking today! I hope to have some time in the next couple of days to visit you too! Happy Stamping!! :)

Bright Butterfly!

Hi All!

I just received some new stamps in the mail and thought I'd share a card I made using them. The stamps are from Innovative Stamp Creations. The owner of the company, Betsy, very generously donated some sets for our blog candy give aways on STAMP SOMETHING. We'll be using this fabulous donation some time in August, so stayed tuned!

I made a 5 1/4" square card and layered on two prints of DSP, then a piece of ribbon. The main image is cut using scalloped oval Nestabilities and the Coluzzle. I fell in love with this butterfly image and the flowers almost match the flowers from this Stampin' Up! DSP, in the Tie the Knot Simply Scrappin' Kit. I colored the butterfly with markers, cut it out, and adhered it with crystal effects. The final touches are paper piercing and a button.

Thanks for looking! Have a great Tuesday! Happy Stamping! :)
