Mom to Be...

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend. It was cold here again, which was actually fine by me as I've been sick with a cold for three days so I didn't need to go out anyway. Being sick also kept me from stamping, but I hope to do some over the next couple of days.

I do have a card to share today that I made last week for a friend. I just found out this person is having another baby and so I wanted to send her a "happy pregnancy" card!

I think this Bella image is perfect for this occasion! I colored her with Copics and added some white gel pen highlights. I used my circle Nesties to frame the image and then mounted that on Riding Hood Red cardstock and Washington Apple DSP, both from Stampin' Up!. The accents are some gel pen dots and doodles, grosgrain ribbon, a clip with the sentiment (also SU!) and some flowers. I made the red flower with a punch and then added this clear flower and button on top.

Thanks for dropping by! Have a super Monday, I'm off to lay down and watch a movie with my daughter. Happy Stamping!! :)

ETA:
I forgot that this card also fits last week's A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge, OH Baby!

Happy Birthday Lindsay!

Happy Monday All!

Hope you enjoyed the weekend and got in some relaxing!

I've got a quick post today. I want to wish my soon to be sister in law a very happy birthday! Hope it's wonderful Lindsay! :) Big hugs from all of us. We'll celebrate with you soon.

In honor of her birthday, I thought I'd share the card I sent to her. She should have received it by now, so I'm not spoiling the surprise.

I chose to use this fun Stamping Bella, Cupcakeabella. She's perfect for this occasion!

I started with a 5 1/4" square card of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I layered on a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock with some Berry Bliss DSP over that. The main image has been colored with markers and cut out and adhered to another piece of Berry Bliss. I used my scalloped rectangle Nestabilities for the image layer. The embellishments are grosgrain ribbon, buttons, crystal effects, glitter, styled silver hodgepodge, and rhinestone brads. The sentiment is from Short and Sweet, a Stampin' Up! set.

Thanks for looking! Happy Stamping! :)

Triple Play

Hi All! Happy Friday!

There's a new challenge over on STAMP SOMETHING and this week we are going for "Triple Plays!" We want to see what you can do with 3 layers, 3 colors, and 3 embellishments!

Show us your best work and you may find yourself up for a chance as guest designer in August! That's right, we're looking for 5 more entries to put to a viewer vote. The winner will go up against the viewer's choice from last week's "Dazzle Us" challenge. Speaking of the dazzle us challenge, head on over and vote for your top choice now!

This is my take on the "Triple Play" challenge. I went with a Bella image, I've had this one for a while now and haven't had any reason to use her, so what better excuse than for a challenge! I'm not sure what the exact name of this bella is, but I'm calling her Glitzy-Bella!

The 3 colors I choose to use are Basic Black, Whisper White, and Cool Caribbean. This printed paper was from an old Simply Scrappin' Kit that is now retired. I love how the blue pops against the black. The image has been stamped in Staz-On ink and colored with re-inkers and an aquapainter.

My 3 embellishments are Iridescent Ice EP on the dress, rhinestone brads on the dress and the flowers, and lastly the white fabric flowers. The rhinestones on the dress have been popped out of the brad and adhered with crystal effects.

This blurry photo, sorry about that, shows more of the shimmer on her dress from the Iridescent Ice EP.

Thanks for taking a look today! Hop on over to STAMP SOMETHING and check out the fabulous design team samples. I hope you'll find some time to stamp something today too! Have a super weekend, happy stamping!! :)

Rubber-dultery Thursday Bella

Happy Thursday!

I can't believe another week is almost over! Time sure is flying by. Hope it's been a good one for you.

So, this is the card I made for Rubber-dultery Thursdays. I also had it in mind for the blog candy that's up for grabs on my SBS sister, Kathy's blog, Kathat Stamps. Go check it out, she's offering a pack of Prismacolor Pencils and all you have to do is make a card using some sort of coloring medium! Too easy!

I used a piece of textured Real Red cardstock for the card base. Then added a piece of bright dots paper from a scrap kit I had, not sure who makes it though. I stamped the image in black Staz-On ink and then colored my Pregobella with watercolor pencils and an aquapainter. For the final touches, I added paper piercing along the bottom edge, a ribbon to tie the card closed, and some felt flowers and brads.

Thanks for looking! Be sure to check in tomorrow when we post the challenge for this week on STAMP SOMETHING. Happy stamping!! :)

Bella and Gina K

Happy Thursday!

Today is my day to play with non Stampin' Up! images. I have received so many great images from my blogging buddies, so I'm hoping to use some of them each week.

This first one is a Bella, not sure which one, but I know if I had a tub like that I'd be lounging in the bath all the time! Ahhh! I received this image from my friend Jo. This Bella is just so much fun, thanks Jo.

I used crystal effects, glitter, and dew drops to create my bubble bath. The colors for the cardstock are Bashful Blue, Soft Sky, and White. The ribbons are grosgrain Bashful and Celery.

This next card was made using my new Gina K stamp set, Just So Hippy. I love this giraffe, she's so cute. I chose to use this red, white, and black color combo because I wanted to use some new DSP and a piece of striped grosgrain ribbon which I received from a PIF blog candy. I don't typically use red, but I did here because of the heart shaped spots on the giraffe.

Hope you're all having a good week. Tomorrow is Friday, Yay! Happy Stamping! :)

A RAK and A Goodbye

The mail just arrived and look what was in with the bills, a beautiful RAK from my friend Jo. This is the cutest folder card. I need to find out how she made this, great idea. I love the printed paper and the adorable bunny image. The best part was the inside, which was filled with Bella, Magnolia, and Sugar Nellie images. Thanks SO much Jo. I'm going to have lots of fun with these! :)

I also want to bid a fond farewell to Old Man Winter, see ya later buddy!

Can you tell that I'm thrilled that tomorrow is the first day of Spring! Yay! It's been a long snowy Winter here and hopefully things will be changing, SOON!

We had more snow here today, so when I got this image in with the Bella images from Jo, I thought she was the perfect way to kiss the winter season goodbye. The colors are Blue Bayou and Soft Sky with some Soft Sky DSP. I stamped a few snowflakes from Snow Flurries and used the new So Many Scallops for the sentiment. I added some snowflake stickers from Target and double stitched ribbon for the final touches.

Ok, off to relax with my hubby! Happy Stamping! :)

Very First Bella

Well, here she is, my very first Bella! This is stamping bella. My upline and friend Erin, got her for me. Ain't she cute! Thanks Erin!

This card was made using all Stampin' Up! paper, ink, and accessories, of course, but the image is from stampingbella.com. I used some ribbon and a new flower ribbon slide with rub-ons for the accents on this card. Thanks for looking, off to play some more. Happy Stamping! :)
