Some Wednesday Whimsy

Good Morning!

How is your week going? We have been busy here with school and work and also visiting with my aunt who is staying with us for a week. It's been really nice to have her here, we've missed her. I have not had much time for crafting lately with all the Whimsy mess last week and visits this week, but I did manage to squeeze in one card yesterday.

I finally inked up my Maya and Marissa stamp from the Crissy Armstrong Collection at Whimsy Stamps. I can't believe we released this image in July and I've only just now had the time to ink it up. Shame shame!

I went for vintage with this card and did lots of distressed and some cracked glass on the image. I used the crackle glue from Inkssentials to achieve the cracked glass look. It cracked really well this time, you never quite know how it will turn out. The papers are K and Company and have been distressed with an edge distressing tool. I've embellished with ribbons and flowers.

This card fits the challenges at:
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Anything Goes - sponsored by Whimsy
Pixie Cottage: Sketch and/or Fun and Games
The Pink Elephant: Aqua, designer paper, embellishment

Thank you for stopping by today. I should be back at least on Friday with a new card for Just Magnolia and Stamp Something. Have a super day!

Lace it Up and an Update

Morning and Happy Friday!

Boy what a week! I do want to share that I have some good news....the Whimsy Store is back online however we are not quite ready for shoppers. There are a few kinks still needing to be worked out and we are hopeful we can accomplish that today. We are working hard to get things back to normal for our customers and are very grateful for the continued support and patience. Thank you all!

Today being Friday is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something. Sadly, I do not have a card for Stamp Something, but the challenge is another "Go Digi Day" and we have some great sponsors joining us. Hope you will give the challenge a try. I hope that maybe later this weekend, once things have settled down and return to normal, maybe I will have a chance to make my card.

I do have my card for Just Magnolia this week as I had it made before all of this mess happened. The challenge this week is "Lace It Up" and you can interpret that how you choose. It could be using lace or lace ribbon or doing some actual lacing on your card. I chose to do both!

I went for vintage and distressed on this card. I used scissors to distress the edges of my K and Company papers and then added eyelets and ribbon to do the lacing on the top corner. I've embellished with flowers, lace, a lace doily, and a ballerina charm. My Tilda ballerina was colored with copics and highlighted with stickles.

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope to have an update about the Whimsy Store soon. Have a great day and a super weekend!

A Sketch and Some Spots and Stripes

Good Morning!

Ahhh, so happy to see you again Mr. Friday! Hope you've all had a great week. Ours was pretty busy. Had to learn new routines for school and work, yep back to normal now that summer is officially over. So sad :( Here's hoping for a fun Fall season though!

Friday's are fun as always, today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something. At JM this week we have a sketch by the fabby Dawny! And remember, as always you must follow the challenge theme and use a Magnolia image to qualify for the blog candy prize.

I've used this sweet Tilda with her newspapers, not sure of the correct name. I colored her with Copics. The papers are K and Company and I've distressed the edges with scissors. I embellished with flowers, brads, and some ticket sentiments from Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits at:
Fab n Funk: What Eva
Artful Inkables: Distressed Out
Sentimental Sundays: A Recipe

Next is my Stamp Something card using our challenge theme of Spots and Stripes. And I've used a Pixie Cottage stamp in honor of our challenge sponsor Michelle's Scrapbooking and More.

I went for a vintage feel on this card and used some Graphic 45 papers and stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The image was colored with Copics and then I added the Crackle glue to give the cracked glass effect.  Really love that effect and so easy to do with that glue! I've embellished with flowers and eyelets and used the same ticket sentiment as on my JM card. I just can't get enough of the tickets!

This card also fits at:
Paper Play: autumn is coming
Stampin for the Weekend: Vintage

Thanks for dropping by today. Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Stamping,

Cracked Glass with Something Cute

Happy Friday!!

And, happy start of a long holiday weekend to all those celebrating Labor Day this weekend here in the States. Unfortunately, that means the end of summer and back to school for most, but summer can't last forever can it. We are getting into the swing of things ourselves with school and new routines. Hoping for a relaxing weekend though!

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something. At JM this week, we are starting a new month and that means a new monthly challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Normally we ask you all to participate in a "special monthly challenge," but as a team we have decided that each new monthly challenge will have the theme of "Anything Goes" so that everyone who wants to play can play. We decided this after we set our challenge for September to be the cracked glass technique on your projects. It was a rather difficult technique and frustrated many of us on the DT, however if you want to try it, we'd love to see what you can do. You can find a tutorial HERE. So this challenge is now "Anything Goes" and/or Cracked Glass and remember to also include a Magnolia image on your creation.

For my card I went for a vintage feel to fit with the cracked glass. I used some K and Company papers from the Life's Journey pad. Then stitched the edges on the sewing machine and used some distressed inks on the cream layer edges. I colored the image, Tilda with Peony, with copics and then did the cracked glass and framed it using some hodgepodge hardware. I have to let you in on a little secret, I didn't have any embossing powder to do this technique so I cheated, GASP! I used Inkssentials Crackle Accents glue. And I have to say, waiting for it to dry was a pain, but it really gives the same effect with far less work. I really do love the effect of the cracked glass and would do it again, but definitely with the glue.

I finished by embellishing with flowers, ribbons, charms, some pearls, and a sentiment from the ticket sentiment set available at Whimsy Stamps. This card also fits some other challenges....
Moving Along with the Times: In Stitches
Paper Play: In Stitches
Cute Card Thursday: Material Girl
Fab n' Funky: Living in a Material World
ABC: C is for Charms
Die Cute Dreams: shades of vintage

Next I have my SS card to share. This week our challenge is for you to share with us something CUTE! It can be anything from a card to scrap book page, as long as it's cute, you can enter this week! We are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and they have kindly offered images for the DT to work with.  I used Teddy Bug Jar....

I printed out my image and colored with copics and then stitched the edges of the papers. The image was framed with Oval Nesties and also stitched. The papers are Cosmo Cricket with some blue and red SU card stock. I finished off with some ribbons and eyelets on the corners.

This card also fits at:
Papertake Weekly: Just the One - used only one DP

Thanks for coming on over today. Have a marvelous day and a relaxing weekend. See you soon!!

Happy Stamping,

Make It Sentimental and Go Digi

HI All!

Hope you've had a nice week. It's been another busy one here and lots of fun going on behind the scenes at Whimsy Stamps too. It's going to be a really FUN September so stay tuned!

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and this week our challenge is super easy. We are calling it "Let's Get Sentimental" and all you need to do is include a sentiment on your project along with your Magnolia image. And it does NOT have to be a Magnolia sentiment, but you do of course need to have a Magnolia image on your project.

I've used my romantic Tilda on this card, I just love her. I went for a vintage feel on this one and used more K and Company papers with a floral pattern and some text paper as well. The image was colored with Copics and then layered on a tapestry embossed cream layer that was cut with Nesties. I also added some paper pierced details to the edge. The card was embellished with flowers, ribbon, lace, chandelier drops, and my sentiment in a hodgepodge frame with brads. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

Next, I have my card for Stamp Something and we have a new challenge posting today as well. This week we are going digital again and have all used some fun digital images and papers in our projects. I chose this sweet image from Prairie Fairy, one of our sponsors, to make my card.

I used some BG Eva papers in fun pinks. The image was colored with Copics and then I added some glitter accents. I used the MS heart punch to add the detail across the middle of the card and then embellished with flowers and roses. It's pretty clean and simple for me, but to be truthful, it's been a hard week and I've not felt much like stamping. I was just happy to have a few minutes to whip something up.

I also made a quick treat container using some paper from Blackleaf Studios, another one of our sponsors this week. This is a sour cream container using one of the digital papers available in the prize at SS this week.

I created a sour cream container with these papers. It's a quick and easy project and having papers to just print out makes it even easier! I added a piece of ribbon and a sentiment framed with oval punches. These would make perfect treat containers for a party favor!

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Stamping,

Wedding

Hi All and Happy Monday,

This is going to be a quick post today as I have loads to do and the kids are begging to go outside. Hope you're having a good day.

Stamping time has been little lately and I want to apologize in advance for not blogging much lately either. I don't think I will be posting too much over the next couple of weeks either, sadly. We have been working hard at Whimsy on some fun things, that I can't share yet, and with the kids home from school my days are less and less my own. Hoping to find a new normal soon!

This card was created with a Whiff of Joy image that Erin kindly shared with me. And I CASEd her idea on the flower soft details from the card she posted HERE. The image was colored with Copics and then I distressed the edges and added some stickles. The papers are K and Company and I've sewn the edges on the machine. I finished off with some ribbons, a charm, flowers, and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Friday Sketchers: sketch
Secret Crafter: girlie
The Pink Elephant: ribbon and sparkles

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping,

Layers of Color Release Party

Happy Saturday All!

Hope you are having a great weekend! Today is the start of the Layers of Color release party! There are lots of fun things happening all weekend at Layers of Color, including the Autumn stamp release, party favors, and chances to win some fabulous prizes!

In total there are 9 new sets debuting this weekend, which amounts to over 80 new and original art stamps! And anyone who joins in the festivities will receive free digital image party favors and a chance to enter a drawing and contest with prizes of $250!! Head on over there now and check it out!

Here is my release party card! I made another easel card, I'm just loving these! So easy to make and they are a great way to display a card. I've used the sets Merci Bouquet and Rise and Shine to make this card.

I've gone with a cream and green color palette and used some vintage K and Company papers. I distressed the edges and added some sponging to some. I've embellished with Prima flowers and roses, pearls, gingham ribbon and eyelets, and a safety pin.

My images were stamped in Memento black and colored with copics and watercolor crayons. The sentiment is from Merci Bouquet and I've punched it with the modern label punch, large oval, and scalloped oval punches.

Thanks for dropping by today! Be sure to check out my fellow design team members' creations and don't miss the party! Happy stamping!

Just Magnolia and Stamp Something

Happy Friday Everyone!

Hope you've had a great week! I've been busy this week so I'm looking forward to the weekend. It's suppose to rain tomorrow, you know what that means....stamping! Hope you have some fun things planned.

I have two cards to share with you today. The first is for Just Magnolia and the next one is for Stamp Something. Both of the challenge blogs have just posted new challenges, hope you'll join us this week!

Just Magnolia

This week at Just Magnolia we have a sketch by the talented and creative Martine! I've used the sketch almost as is, just changed the oval to a rectangle as I'm not great at making ovals.

I've gone with a pastel color palette and used some retired SU! designer papers. The colors are plum and saffron. I've distressed all the edges and added some lace and satin ribbons for a couple of my layers.

My image is one I received in a swap and she's been colored with Copics is more soft colors. Then I highlighted with white gel pen and some Spica glitter too. I've embellished with Prima flowers and roses and the sentiment is attached with a button.

This was a great sketch to work with, I hope you'll pop on over to Just Magnolia and give it a try! Be sure to check out all the beautiful design team samples created using Martine's sketch!

Stamp Something

Our challenge at Stamp Something this week is Halloween Somethings! Halloween is only about a week away, so we want to see your creative Halloween cards, treats, and projects! Our sponsor this week is Cute Daisy May and they kindly donated some blog candy as well as images for the Design Team to work with.

I went with this sweet little Halloween witch and colored her with Copics and highlighted with gel pen and glitter. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday along with papers from K and Company and Making Memories. I've been using purples and oranges for my cardstock colors on all my Halloween projects as I ran out of black, not sure how that happened!

I've embellished this card with some gingham ribbon and orange buttons and some Prima flowers with a button center. If you are in need of some Halloween inspiration, be sure to check out the rest of the fun Halloween Somethings the design team has created this week! Then be sure to show us your Halloween Something!

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful Friday and a fabulous weekend! Happy Stamping! :)

Spooktacular Halloween

Happy Sunday All!

We are in the midst of a cold and rainy day here, perfect weather for an afternoon of stamping! I went out and hopped around the challenge blogs and found some I wanted to try. And here is what I came up with....

When I first saw this image, from Mo's Digital Pencil, I knew it would be great for those kid Halloween projects and then paired with this old SU! sentiment, it's perfect! I've colored with Copics and added some white gel pen and gold Spica glitter pen accents. I used the sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar, which I rotated, and then paired with some purple and orange cardstocks and K and Company Halloween paper. I've embellished with satin black ribbon and a couple bows.

This card also fits the following Halloween and Fall themed challenges...
The Pink Elephant - Fall
Digital Tuesday - Boo!
Paper Take Weekly - The Dark Side
Cute Card Thursday - Spook Fest
Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge - Fall
One Stop Craft - Halloween
Stamptacular Sunday - Spook-tacular
Pile It On! - Ready for Halloween

Phew, I think that's all of the challenges! Thanks for dropping by today. Enjoy what's left of your Sunday! Happy Stamping! :)

Celebrating an Anniversary

Good Morning!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and you're off to a great start this week! We had a busy weekend here, lots to do around the house and we also celebrated our Whimsy Stamps New Release Blog Hop! If you missed it, there's still time to check out all the fab DT creations as well as enter for a chance to win our blog hop prize! Just click the link above!

I have a card today that I made for my aunt and uncle for their anniversary. They got married one year ago, so it was an important one! And it also means my card fits the CCT challenge of firsts.

I've used this darling Edwin image which my friend Vicki kindly shared with me. I thought he was perfect for this occasion! I've colored him with Copics and highlighted with some Spica glitter pens for some glitz!

I've used some K and Company papers with Kraft and Vanilla cardstock. I kept the layout simple and clean. Added some taffeta ribbon, Prima flowers, and brads and a final accent of a charm. Then I faux stitched my edges with the white gel pen.

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope to be back tomorrow with another creation! Until then, happy stamping! :)

Whimsy Sponsors Saturday Spotlight

Happy Saturday and World Carding Making Day!

I'm excited to share a card with you today that I created for my guest design spot with the brand new weekly challenge, Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential! My dear friend Vicki is the creator and fearless leader of this new challenge and I just know she will do wonderfully creative things with her challenges and her design team! Head on over and see what it's all about!

I'm also honored that Whimsy Stamps is the very first sponsor at Saturday Spotlight! There is a gift certificate up for grabs for one lucky random winner! The challenge this week is to create something for Halloween....but you can't use Halloween stamps! Tricky huh! Still a treat to see all the fun design team creations, head over for some inspiration!

This is my "Happy Halloween" Whimsy Mice card! I changed the "love u" letters to "happy" and then used a sentiment from an old SU! set for the Halloween. The image was colored with Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen and Spica glitter pen.

I used the layout from Truly Scrumptious and my doodling would be the "happy" letters which I had drew. I used some K and Company Halloween paper with SU! purple, orange, and black cardstock. the green layer was embossed with the bubbles folder and CB. I embellished with some grosgrain ribbon, hemp twine and gem charm, a paper hand made flower, button, and brads.

Thanks for dropping by today! I hope you'll celebrate World Card Making Day with us at Saturday Spotlight! Happy stamping! :)

A Sketch and One for the Holidays

Good Morning All!

Hope you're having a great week. We've had a good one so far and today is ballet day with my daughter which always makes for a fun morning! All those cutie pies in pink from head to toe!

I have two cards to share with you today. One is for my GDT with Whiff of Joy Challenges and the other is for some DT work with Doodle Palace and Paper Maniac.

Whiff of Joy GDT

This is my last card as a GDT with Whiff of Joy Challenges. I want to thank everyone for having me, I've really enjoyed designing for the challenges with these sweet images.

This week's challenge is a sketch by the wonderfully talented Rach! It's a fun sketch, but I did change the oval to a circle. I don't have any Nesties for layering ovals, boo hoo. I've used these K and Company vintage papers with flowers. I also created my own patterned paper with the bluish layer and some Layers of Color stamps in flowers and hearts. I embellished with Prima roses, metal flowers, ribbon and a charm, and gel pen faux stitching.

Paper Maniac/Doodle Palace

This is my Doodle Palace/ Paper Maniac card. The image is Bearly Santa from Doodle Palace which is available now for downloading. It's been colored with Copics and then I used a bunch of fun products available from Paper Maniac to complete the card.

The paper is Imaginisce Polar Expressions which is double sided and some of the pages are complete with glitter. It's super cute and really nice quality! I've paired it with some SU! cardstock in Olive and White. I embellished with some silver brads, grosgrain ribbon, and a couple buttons. This card also fits the Christmas challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar. You can see my card ingredients and all the links to these great products at the Paper Maniac store below!

Thanks for dropping by, have a great day. Happy Stamping!

One for Halloween

Hi All!

This week is cruising on by and again I've been busy busy busy! Hope you're having a good week. Even with all the stamping I've been doing lately, I'm feeling that my mojo is on vacation. I'm not happy with anything that I've whipped up. Ever feel like that? I know we are our toughest critics too, but I'm just not sure where my mojo went!

Anyway, on to the card I made for today using a Doodle Palace Halloween image. There have been a bunch of Fall themed challenges this week so I went for a Halloween card for the Fall season.

I used some retired SU paper and some K and Company Halloween papers for this card. The sketch is from Sketch and Stash and my neglected stash are the buttons. This card also fits the Fall challenges at Digital Tuesday, A Spoon Full of Sugar and Whimsy Stamps Challenge. I used the recipe of 3 embellishments, 2 papers, and 1 image from Simon Says Stamp's challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm going to see if I can make one more card today and actually be happy with it! Hope you have a great day, happy stamping! :)

Two Cards Today

Good Morning!

Hope today is off to a good start. I'm heading out to my daughter's ballet class in a bit and then we are having a play date with friends. Should be a fun day!

I have two cards to share with you today, both for design team work. First, is my card for Paper Maniac. This week our focus was on creations using patterned paper. Paper Maniac carries a great assortment of different companies and styles of patterned paper. My card uses some from the Paper Loft in a holiday pattern and color which I paired with matching Bazzill cardstock.

I chose to work with my Whimsy Snowman and Bunny image as Paper Maniac is also a retailer of Whimsy Stamps. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Copics and highlighted with a Spica glitter pen, although it's hard to see the glitter. I've embellished with a Prima Flower, some ribbon, and a snowflake charm.

Next is my card for my guest design spot with Whiff of Joy challenges. Today we have a great sketch from Heather. There are many great layers to add to this one and places for fun embellishments too.

I used some K and Company papers and distressed all the edges. I also added some sponging and torn edges. I wanted this card to look shabby to fit the challenge at Everybody Art.

I've used this sweet kneeling Willow image that I received from a friend. She has been colored with Copics and highlighted with a gel pen and Spica glitter pen. I've done some paper piercing around the image and then added some brads. I've embellished with hodgepodge hardware, felt flowers, Prima flowers, a button, hemp twine, lace, and organdy ribbon.

Thanks for dropping over today. I hope to have some time later to drop by and visit all of you. Have a great day. Happy stamping! :)

Digital Delights Guest Designer Spotlight

Morning to you all!

Hope your day is off to a good start. We had a busy day yesterday, but I think today will be much quieter. My daughter started dance class yesterday and loved it, so that will keep us busy one morning a week now. It's nice to have a couple fun things to do with her while my son is at school.

So, last week I was chosen as a Digital Delights Spotlight Guest Designer. It's a great honor that my card was chosen and I'm very excited to share a new card with you all that I created for today's special spotlight event. Wendy, the owner of Digital Delights, kindly sent me some digital images to play with and I chose this sweet one to make my card for today.

This is Pip and Poppet and they have been colored with Copics and highlighted with gel pen accents and some glitter accents as well. The papers are K and Company. I used the sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar and created my own paper flowers using this AWESOME tutorial by Rach. As an added embellishment I doodled on some gel pen dots, I think it adds a little pop.

Thanks for coming on by today. You should definitely pop on over to Wendy's Digital Delights shop, she's got some fabulous digital images available! A BIG thanks to Wendy for having me as a guest designer!

And if you like digital images and a good cause, head over to Whimsy Stamps and purchase "A Teddy for Paige" our latest digital image with proceeds to benefit Paige Welch.

Happy stamping! :)

Whiff of Joy GDT - A Sketch

Good Morning Everyone!

If you're like me, you've just dropped little ones off at school and are just now getting to your duties for the day. I meant to have this post scheduled but last night was a busy one. My little boy just started the First Grade today, it was an exciting, but sad morning too. This summer went by way too fast and now we just miss him! Here's hoping for a quick day!

Today my card is for the challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenges where for the month of September I'm going to be a guest designer. I am very excited about this! I so enjoy using my WOJ stamps and I love a good challenge, so it's a perfect combination. Plus, all the WOJ DT members are just super talented so to be able to work with them is a great honor!

The challenge today is a sketch created by the ever talented Bev Rochester. It is one that I know I will use again too. Here is the sketch to follow and remember you also need to also use a Whiff of Joy image.

For my card I used this sweet shy Willow image and colored her with Copics and highlighted with a gel pen and glitter pen. The papers are K and Company with natural tone cardstock. I've distressed all the edges, which I really LOVE to do! The distressing also fits the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar this week.

I've embellished this card with a Martha Stewart lace border punch, some organdy and gingham ribbons, brads, Prima flowers and roses, metal hardware, and a strawberry charm. The sentiment is also WOJ and has been framed with my EK Success oval punches.

Thanks for popping on by today. I hope you have a great day. I'm off to keep busy hoping for the time to just fly on by so I can go pick my baby boy up from school! Happy stamping! :)

New DT - Doodle Palace

Please scroll down for Paper Maniac blog hop post!

Morning!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! We went to NY to visit family. Other than the long drive, we had a great time! Glad to be home now and catching up on all that I missed!

I have a little news to share today, I was asked to join the Doodle Palace Design Team. I of course said yes! I love doing design work and sharing my creativity with you all! The Doodle Palace is a digital image company with many many many different digis to choose from! And right now, until tomorrow, they are having a grand opening sale and you can save 60% on everything in the store!

I have this card to share today that I made using a pumpkin image from the Thanksgiving Set. It's perfect for Halloween or Thanksgiving or even just Fall themed cards.

The image was colored with Copics and highlighted with a Spica glitter pen. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and paired that with SU! cardstock in Black, Pumpkin, and Eggplant. The papers are K and Company. This card also follows the recipe challenge at Cupcake Crafts, which is 3 buttons, 2 papers, and 1 ribbon. I technically used 3 pieces of ribbon but it is only one ribbon! Hope that works!

Thanks for coming on by today! I'll be back tomorrow with a couple cards to share. It's going to be a busy day! Happy stamping! :)

Animals and Ribbons and Bows

Happy Friday!

Hope you've had a great week. Things were super busy here all week. It was our last full week of summer vacation before the kids go back to school and so we tried to sneak in every bit of fun we could! Now we are heading to NY to visit family and looking forward to a fun weekend. Hope you have some great things planned too!

Just Magnolia

Today I have both my DT cards for Stamp Something and Just Magnolia to share with you. First, is my Just Magnolia card with this week's challenge of ribbons and bows. We want to see you use both ribbons and bows on your creations and of course a Magnolia image.

I went for a vintage feel with this card. I love this sweet image, perfect for a lazy summer day. She's been colored with Copics and highlighted with both a gel pen and a Spica glitter pen. I found the sketch for this one at Sketch Saturday and paired it with some SU! cardstock in mellow moss and always artichoke along with some K&Company papers. This card has distressed edges, lace border punched edges, and has been embellished with gingham ribbon and bows, lace ribbon and brads, and some Prima flowers and roses.

Stamp Something

Next I have my card for the challenge at Stamp Something, which this week is Animal Somethings. Share a creation using your favorite animal image or images and you just might be chosen as a Stamp Something Top 5 or win our blog candy prize! Head on over to SS and check out the candy and all the design team creations using some cute Digital Delights images!

The design team was lucky enough to receive some images to use for our cards this week. I chose this sweet little lamb and colored her with Copics and then gave her a woolly coat with some liquid applique! What fun stuff!

The sketch is from this week's Lili of the Valley challenge, but I did change up the circle area on the sketch to a rectangle to fit my image. I used SU! white, baja breeze, and kiwi kiss cardstock with BasicGrey Urban Prairie papers. The embellishments are some felt flowers and pearls, buttons, and a piece of wide grosgrain ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great day! I'll be back on Sunday with a card for the first Paper Maniac blog hop! Hope you'll join me! Happy stamping! :)

Baby Joy

Happy Tuesday All!

This is going to be a very quick post as I'm in the middle of making dinner and we all know what happens when we aren't watching the dinner cook! LOL!

I whipped up this card this afternoon for the Paper Take Weekly sketch challenge. It's a fun sketch that will work well with many images and can easily be flipped and rotated. I know I'll be using it again too.

This image is another of Mo's from Mo's Digital Pencil. I think he's such a sweet little baby. He's been colored with Copics and highlighted with a gel pen and I also added some glittery touches to the water ripples. For anyone who's been having trouble with smearing ink and digi images, try running a versamark pen over the ink lines and then heat set. I had no trouble this time! Success!

I kept this card fairly simple with just a little ribbon, some brads and picture tabs, and a metal sentiment. Thanks for popping on by today. Hope to have more time for blogging and crafting tomorrow. Happy stamping! :)

Whimsy Sparkle

Hi All!

Wow, what a busy day I've had, hope you're day was nice. I got the chance to do some shopping with a friend, without the kids! And because I was out having fun, I'm late with my posting and everything else if I'm being honest. LOL!

My card today is for this week's Whimsy Challenge, which is a touch of sparkle. We want to see you glitz and glam up your creations this week with some bling!

I used my cute Whimsy Turtle for this card and some new K & Company papers that I got while shopping today. I need more paper like I need a hole in the head, but I just couldn't resist! The sketch if from this week's challenge at The Pink Elephant and the colors are for the challenge at Cute Daisy May.

I embellished with some micro beads and stickles for the sparkle. Then added some ribbon and buttons and some fish pins. The final accent is a sparkly flower charm tied on with more ribbon.

Thanks for dropping on over today. I hope to have some time tomorrow to do my visiting, see you soon. Happy stamping! :)
