Merged Images

Hello!!!

Can you say it's been a long time since I last posted a creation...WOW! It's been one busy summer and I've been taking a break from blogging as you can see. We actually sold our house and moved and are waiting for our new house to be ready and then we move again. No fun moving but the end result will be worth it! But with moving all my crafty goodies have been packed away so I haven't had time or the ability to craft. Hopefully in October I can start up again and get back to normal.

How was your summer? Hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for back to school! Our kids start on Wednesday - it's amazing just how fast these last couple of months have gone by. OK, so enough chatter and on to my creation! In case you missed it, Whimsy Stamps released our second magazine issue on August 17th. It's loaded with beautiful samples, creative ideas, tutorials, and lots of other fun stuff. If you want to take a peek, CLICK HERE

Our feature article in the magazine includes a tutorial on how to merge rubber stamp images and digital images to create beautiful scenes. Our special guest Zoe McGrath of Make It Crafty created the tutorial and I have to say it was a challenge at first to get the hang of things, but the end result is worth all the effort! Zoe is very good at explaining things and shares tips and a beautiful creation of her own in the issue!

I have used two Make it Crafty digital image backgrounds, Daffodil Dell and Peaches of Plenty and then paired those with the rubber stamp Smell the Flowers from Whimsy Stamps. Everything was colored with Copics and then highlighted with glitter. The papers are Graphic 45 Once Upon a Spring Time and the edges were stitched on the sewing machine. I've embellished with flowers, hand dyed ribbon from Whimsy in Vanilla Latte, sticky pearls, and flourishes made with the Elegant Flourishes die set from Whimsy.

To see more gorgeous creations using merging of images, be sure to check out the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine! Till next time.....
