A Card and Treat

Happy Friday!

I'm really happy it's Friday and to have this week be OVER! And today is also my 10 year wedding anniversary too, so it's a special day at our house. I hope you're week was better than mine and that you have a great weekend. I know I'm looking forward to some major down time to recharge!

Today, I have two projects to share with you. First, is my Just Magnolia card using this week's challenge which is a tutorial for the special monthly project. The tutorial is to create a tent card, which I have to say was not only easy, but lots of fun too!
This was the perfect card for this sweet hanging Tilda. I've colored her with Copics in blues and yellows to match these fun Lime Rickey papers from BasicGrey. I followed the tutorial and used my Big Shot and Nesties to cut the center circle. I framed the circle with the scalloped Nesties circle. I embellished the outside with Prima flowers and cherry blossoms, ribbon and a button with hemp twine bow, faux stitching, and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps. I attached the image with a jump ring and piece of twine taped and hidden to the inside of the card.

I really enjoyed making this card and I already have an idea for another one. I hope you'll stop by the Just Magnolia blog and check out the fab design team projects and play along with our challenge.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Cupcake Craft Challenge: Round and Round
Creative Card Crew: Celebrations

Next, I have my card for our new Stamp Something challenge to make something girlie! I know that should be a very easy one for everyone to do this week, so I hope you'll join in! I decided to use the image from our sponsor, Sassy Design Studio, to create a little gift box. I plan to fill it with chocolates, when I actually have some!

I had this box from a little gift my friend Bev sent to me and so I just added the image and some embellishments and viola...a little treat box! I colored the image with Copics and added Stickles for the water and bubbles. I used a Labels Nesties set and then slid the ribbon through both sides. I didn't attach the image to the box so you can just slide the ribbon off to open the box. I embellished with cherry blossoms. After the week I had, this bubble bath is calling my name! LOL

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a fabulous weekend! See you soon!

Happy Stamping,
