Wings of Hope

Good Morning!

Happy weekend! I hope that last week was a good one for you. I was busy gearing up for our latest Whimsy Stamps release, which will take place tomorrow at noon EST with a blog hop snowball fight!

Today though, I have a special announcement! Crissy Armstrong has created a beautiful limited edition digital stamp carousel horse called "Wings of Hope" which is currently available exclusively in the Whimsy Stamps online shop. This digital stamp will be available to purchase from now until February 28th, 2010. All proceeds from the sale of this image, minus any PayPal fees, will be sent to the American Red Cross disaster relief for Haiti.

We will be keeping a weekly tally on the Whimsy site for readers to see just how much money we have raised and at the end of February, we will send all monies collected to the American Red Cross fund. If you would like to help out, please visit the Whimsy Stamps shop and purchase this digital stamp!

I've created my card with BasicGrey Origins papers and soft yellow and chocolate card stocks. The image was printed out and colored with Copics. I added some stickles to the wings for some shimmer. I kept the card simple so that the image was the focal point, but I did embellish with some flowers, roses, metal hardware, and a charm which says hope.

Thanks for dropping by today! I hope you have a great weekend and that you will join us in our efforts to help the people of Haiti. If you are unable to make a donation but would still like to help, please post a message on your blog with links to our site to spread the word! You can even grab the badge on my sidebar to add to your blog. Thanks so much!

Happy stamping!
